Big things in store for this couple! If you aren't caught up now is the time since Cat and I got the massive story of these two into one big thread. This is the only separate thread we will have for them at this time! Here is the http://xrelashio.jcink.net/index.php?showtopic=40 of Devon and Zara!
Devon groaned as he was shaken from his sleep by an unwanted person. He opened one eye and glared at the person expecting it to be Zara, but it wasn’t. “W-what do you want?” He asked his best friend Alex and his father Apollo. It was Alex who spoke, “You to get up. Your mum’s kicking all of the guys out of the house for the day for wedding plans. You aren’t allowed to be here.” Devon rolled his eyes and pulled his pillow over his face. His mother had taken off with planning the wedding since right after Christmas, he and Zara hardly had any time together. Adora was always pulling her away from him right when they would get the chance to talk for dress fittings, cake tastings, bonding and whatever else she stole her away for. Devon was spending far too much time with his dad and it was really starting to irritate him. They fought constantly and hardly got any decisions made for their tasks for the wedding which included picking tuxedo’s and building out door decorations that the girls wouldn’t be able to make. “Get up out of bed Devon, now.” Apollo’s voice was close to Devon’s ear and it made him jump. He sat up and scowled, “Fine. I’m up. Get out so I can get dressed.”
Alex and Apollo left the room, the second the door was shut Devon fell back against the pillow and rolled over closing his eyes again. He was tired, he hadn’t been sleeping very well since his mother had insisted they no longer sleep in the same room until after the wedding. Devon had been particularly upset about it because not only did it take Zara away from him but it took the twins too. They were all on the other side of the house up in his sisters’ wing. He pulled the pillow that had once been where Zara’s head rested to him and tried to fall back asleep. “Damnit, Devon! NOW!” Apollo’s voice came loudly through the door. Devon groaned and climbed out of bed. He dressed quickly and stepped out into the hallway moving past his father and best friend down the stairs. Ignoring their comments as he made his way over to where Zara was standing with her arms outstretched as Adora moved around her measuring her body, obviously for more dress fittings. Ignoring his mother’s irritated comments as he walked up to Zara giving her a quick hug and a light kiss on her cheek. He smiled at her, making eye contact with her. ”Going crazy yet?” He tucked a strand of hair behind her ear that was hanging over her eye, knowing if she moved her arm to get it out of her face Adora would start complaining. He kissed her forehead and whispered, “I love you.” He hugged her again and stepped away from her before his mother could start lecturing him about disturbing Zara.
Devon joined his dad and Alex in the kitchen and zoned out on the conversation about wooden arches and matching chairs. He crossed his arms over his chest and started listening to Zara’s complaints in their minds; he shared many of the same ones. He missed her too and just wanted to snuggle with her away from everyone. They were just a few short weeks away from the wedding and everyone was stressed out, on edge and temperamental. Neither Devon or Zara could ever get a word in about anything. No one seemed to care what they had to say about anything. Both of them, especially Devon had given up on trying to get a word in. He had shut down entirely after a week of being dragged everywhere by his father and Alex to do this or that. He clung to every little moment that he and Zara had together, even if it was nothing more than a passing hello or quick hug.
Middle of January creeped slowly up on them, Devon was finally able to escape his Dad and Alex long enough to get to where Zara was with his mother and sisters talking about flower arrangements. He sat down next to her in the recliner she was in and wrapped his arms around her, resting his head on her shoulder, closing his eyes, breathing in her familiar scent. He said nothing and ignored his mother’s complaining. He wasn’t going to interrupt their conversation; he just wanted to be close to her for a while without being pulled away. “Devon, you can’t be in here with us.” Whitney said as his mother continued to try and shoo him away. He didn’t budge; he would not leave this time unless Zara sent him away. All they were discussing was stupid flowers, why couldn’t he just sit her quietly with her? He scowled but remained silent.

| Apparently the serenity and peace that had fallen over Zara and Devon over the Christmas celebrations was never meant to last past the first few days of January. That is to say that Mrs Avery never meant it to last much longer than that. Almost as soon as Christmas had passed and the last of the decorations stowed away once more plans for the big wedding day began in full swing. Initially, the night that Adora had come into Devon's room while he and Zara had been relaxing with the twins to tell them that with the morning and the following weeks would come all the preparations for their wedding, Zara had been excited, a kind of tentative excitement that she had never really experienced before that was riddled with nerves and anticipation. However, as the weeks slowly slid away from them Zara enthusiasm to spend her every waking hour choosing what colour napkins she wanted different tables to have and other such menial tasks, was very quickly beginning to disperse.
Not to mention the fact that she and Devon had been separated - she was now sleeping in a room on the other side of the house with the twins and as a result was getting barely any time alone with Devon. Occasionally Adora would ask his opinion on something they were discussing with his sisters and he was allowed to join in the conversation for a brief minute before being shooed away again. Except for this and the quick hugs and pecks on the cheek they just about got time for in the mornings Devon and Zara we being kept far to busy to be even thinking about escaping to spend a little time together with the twins or just alone.
As well as the little time she was getting with Devon, Zara was also beginning to become completely overwhelmed with the preparations for the wedding - she had never really been in a situation before when she was forced to think about how much went into a wedding. To Zara, unfortunately, most of it seemed completely pointless and when she imagined marrying Devon she had never lost any sleep over what colour the box should be that contained Devon's great aunt's wedding favour. Zara had never really realised that topic needed so much discussion (in the end they had decided on baby blue so as not to offend the ancient old woman). Either way the charm of planning a wedding was wearing off at an alarming speed and Zara was getting more and more uncomfortable with the amount of crazy things that Adora seemed to be planning - apparently people didn't just get married, it had to be some sort of massive party with gifts and money and garters (which Zara had been rather horrified at the idea of). Then again, perhaps this is the way weddings had always been done and Zara simply wasn't knowledgeable enough in the ways of women and matrimony to know.
It was a only a couple of weeks before the wedding and Zara was once again hearing the quiet tap tap tap on the door to her room and Hayden's tentative voice calling through to her, "Zara, Mum says it’s time to get up because she needs to fit you for your dress early so you can try it on and she can make adjustments while the boys are outside." The choosing of Zara's wedding dress had been one of the only tasks that Zara had so far enjoyed, also one of the only things that she had had much of a say in. Some of the dresses Adora had picked out for her had been truly awful and Zara had vowed the morning beforehand that she wouldn't let Adora pressure her into getting a dress she wasn't completely happy with. After the fifth, pale pink, poufy chiffon number Zara had darted out of the dressing room and hurried off to look for herself, returning fifteen minutes later with three floor length silk dresses that she had picked out. After that the process went quite smoothly and Zara was happy that Adora also seemed equally satisfied with the final dress that Zara had chosen.
Zara remembered Adora had said something about fitting and adjustments last night but she could barely open her eyes - the twins hadn't slept well last night, Zara was sure it was something to do with being away from Devon for so long, and she been awake half the night comforting them. There was another tap on the door, "Zara?" Not having realised she had almost slipped off into dream land again Zara forced her eyes open and spoke in a muffled tone, "Alright, thank you Hayden, I'll been done soon." She heard Devon's sister skipping off back down the corridor, practically smelling the excitement the girl had for the fitting. Zara buried her head in the pillow and moaned loudly, wishing Devon was beside her so she could just cuddle into him and fall back asleep.
In the end she forced herself out of bed, dressed quickly and got the twins ready for the day ahead, usually while Adora was preparing Zara with everything the twins played with Hayden or Whitney and so Zara grabbed some of the toys in a little shoulder bag before picking them both up and balancing them on her hips before making her way carefully downstairs. When she reached where Adora and the girls were she settled the twins down nearby and turned to smile sleepily at Devon's mother who was prattling on about something that Zara didn't care about. Instead Zara was focussing her mind on Devon's thoughts he was still half asleep but she could tell he had already been woken up at least once. "...Zara?" Zara looked up quickly, not realising she was being spoken to directly, "Sorry?" She asked quickly and Adora gave her a reproving look before repeating herself, "Step up onto to the foot stool so I can take your measurements again just to make sure the dress still fits just right." Zara obeyed, knowing there was no point in trying to argue and stepped up onto the footstool, allowing Adora to stretch out her arms and begin to measure around them as she stood there. She had almost completely zoned out again until she heard footsteps descending the stairs. Zara looked up and saw Devon appear, her stomach instantly fluttered and she smiled slightly watching as he came over and hugged her briefly. Zara took in his smell, savouring it, knowing it could be a whole day before they got to be this close again. She missed him so much that whenever she was near him she just wanted to wrap all her limbs around him and bury her face in his shoulder and not let go for a very long time.
She complained to him for a while over their mind connection, angrily stating as Adora muttered about how thin she was that she wasn't thin she was simply boney - all to Devon only of course. Apollo, Alex and Devon wandered off outside and the day dragged on with Zara barely getting another glimpse of Devon until dinner and even then they didn't speak privately. She went to bed exhausted and upset and feeling vaguely sick to top it all off, managing only a fitful night of sleep.
A few days later, Zara was sat pretending to discuss flower arrangements and colour schemes with Adora and Devon's sisters when she suddenly felt Devon's presence approach. She looked up just in time as he settled himself next to her and wrapped his arms around her. Zara could tell he was missing her too, just as desperately as she was and it was obvious he had had enough of the separation as he sat in silence beside her. Zara reached up her hand and gently began stroking his hair, closing her eyes and breathing in his scent. Even when Adora started to complain Devon didn't move or say a word and Zara shook her head and replied, "It’s okay, he can stay, can't he? I mean I'd rather he had an opinion in all this as well." Of course it was just an excuse for them to spend a little more time together but it seemed to work and they spent the remainder of the evening curled up together. Finally when Adora stood and announced she should go start dinner Zara looked up, remembering something she had been meaning to say. "Oh Adora, the twins will have to stay in Devon's room tonight because it’s a full moon and I have to change tonight." Adora looked a little taken aback for a moment before nodding, "Alright dear that's fine." The others left and Zara and Devon were left alone together.
Zara turned to him instantly and kissed his lips softly, closing her eyes and savouring every second before pulling away and saying softly, "Will you be okay when Kora changes tonight? She'll be bigger now so you'll have to separate her and Ryan and just watch her claws and such." She looked at him with worried eyes but as soon as he reassured her she settled down with him again and they spent a few more minutes together just enjoying each other's company before Adora called them for dinner.
That night once the twins were settled with Devon and she had kissed him goodbye, Zara slipped outside and into the surrounding woods. Almost instantly she morphed into her wolf as she ran, darting through the trees and baying at the moon high in the sky. It felt so good to be free again and Zara spent the rest of the night padding around in the extensive forest, foraging in the undergrowth and scaring away small critters. Towards the end of the night as the morning light first started to make its appearance Zara began to become aware of a sickly feeling deep in her stomach which made her just want to lie down and not move until it receded. However, morning was upon her and Zara changed back into her human form with a little more difficulty than the initial change, clutching her stomach as she stood up off the ground. The feeling became more and more intense until she couldn't take it anymore, she turned towards the nearest tree, scraping back her tatty hair and threw up at the base of the trunk. She frowned and coughed slightly, grabbing her clothes from nearby and hurrying towards the house. Zara poured herself a glass of water and washed out her mouth still feeling queasy. Without really thinking about it Zara wandered up the stairs towards Devon's room, catching herself in a mirror in the hall and seeing her ghostly white complexion. She pushed open Devon's door and slid into his bedroom, it was dark but she could see his outline on top of his bed. "Devon?" She whispered, not wanting to wake the twins. She climbed up silently onto his bunk bed and shook his shoulder gently, "Devon?" She waited until he responded and then lay down beside him, "I don't feel good." She cuddled up to him, still holding her stomach even though she didn't feel the need to be sick again, confused and tired after her night out in her wolf form.

| Devon closed his eyes as Zara reached up her hand and gently began stroking his hair, such a small gesture meant so much after days with little or no contact with each other. Even when Adora started to complain Devon didn't move or say a word and Zara shook her head and replied, "It’s okay, he can stay, can't he? I mean I'd rather he had an opinion in all this as well." Devon grinned knowing it was just an excuse for them to spend a little more time together but it seemed to work and they spent the remainder of the evening curled up together. Finally when Adora stood and announced she should go start dinner Zara looked up, remembering something she had been meaning to say. "Oh Adora, the twins will have to stay in Devon's room tonight because it’s a full moon and I have to change tonight." Devon glanced up at his mother actually curious to see how she reacted to Zara needing to slip out. Of course she knew Zara was a werewolf but she had never really been told when Zara left since in the months previous it had just been her and Devon and she could easily leave without telling anyone else in the house. Adora looked a little taken aback for a moment before nodding; Devon smirked to himself. "Alright dear that's fine." The others left and Zara and Devon were left alone together.
Before Devon had the chance to do anything, Zara turned to him instantly and kissed his lips softly, closing her eyes and savouring every second before pulling away and saying softly, "Will you be okay when Kora changes tonight? She'll be bigger now so you'll have to separate her and Ryan and just watch her claws and such." She looked at him with worried eyes. He smiled and nodded, “Of course I can.”All too soon they were called to dinner. Though all through dinner Devon kept one hand lightly on Zara’s leg; not for any other reason other than to be close to her.
That night once the twins were settled with Devon and she had kissed him goodbye, Zara slipped outside and into the surrounding woods. Devon stayed awake long enough to see she was content and happy running through the woods before letting himself drift off to sleep. Devon woke when Kora howled from her bed across the room. He got up and made his way to the twins and picked her up out of her bed, checked on Ryan making sure he was still asleep. He set her down on the floor and she tugged on his pant leg making Devon smile. He remembered his altered animagus form and quickly shifted. He laid down on the floor beside Kora. She sniffed him a few times before curling up next to him and falling asleep against his fur. He stayed awake watching her as she slept. He kept his mind open to Zara listening to her thoughts as she continued to run around the woods. As soon as Kora shifted back Devon shifted as well. He quickly pulled his pajama pants back on then picked up his sleeping baby girl and returned her to her bed with her brother, he placed her next to Ryan knowing the sudden lack of Devon’s warmth would wake her. Having Ryan beside her would sooth her and put her back to sleep quickly. He climbed back into his bed and fell asleep instantly.
Too early for Devon’s liking he heard his door open and someone whisper, "Devon?" He groaned and rolled over not wanting to be woken up the sun was barely up. The intruder climbed up silently onto his bunk bed and shook his shoulder gently, "Devon?" Zara’s voice…he rubbed his eyes then looked up at her, “Hmm?” He said as she laid down beside him, "I don't feel good." She cuddled up to him. He wrapped his arms tightly around her and kissed her cheek lightly. He noticed her holding her stomach. “Did you eat something you shouldn’t have?” He asked as he yawned. He gently moved her hands off of her stomach, replacing them with his own, slipping them under her shirt and gently ran his thumbs lightly over her skin hoping to sooth her upset stomach. “Kora slept through her transformation, woke up long enough to howl once. I brought her in here and stayed up with her until she shifted back.” His words were whispered and thick with sleep. He drifted back off before Zara could answer him.
“Get up, both of you!” It was Apollo’s voice that came through the door. He opened it without knocking and grabbed the now crying twins passing them off to Devon’s sisters before making his way over to where Devon and Zara were sleeping soundly. “You two know you are not allowed in the same bed again until after the wedding. Get up right now!” He said as he grabbed the blanket and pulling it off the two sleeping teenagers. Devon groaned and snuggled closer to Zara in attempts to not only block out the sudden cold air but to fall back into the deep sleep his father had ruined. “No. Don’t you dare drop back off Devon, get up. We have things to do. Zara is needed downstairs, cake testing today with your mother and sisters.” Apollo shook Devon, unlike Zara it wasn’t gentle it was rough and instantly roused Devon from his sleep. He sat up and glared at Apollo. “Okay, fine. Get out. I’m up. Just got away and I will wake her up. She was only in here because she didn’t feel good last night after she shifted back.” Apollo’s expression softened only for a moment as he glanced at Zara. He then glared at Devon, “Fifteen minutes then I am coming back in and dragging you out of your room.” Devon nodded but said nothing as he watched Apollo leave the room.
As soon as the door was shut he turned his attention to his sleeping fiancé. “Zara…” He stroked her cheek gently. “We have fifteen minutes to get out of bed.” He kissed her forehead and gently shook her, “Come on baby wake up. I know you don’t feel good but you have to get up.” He shook her gently once more then kissed her lips, deepening it as she started to wake up only breaking away as soon as her arms wrapped around his neck. He kissed her forehead and stood offering to help her up too. “Let’s get moving before my dad has a heart attack from yelling at us some more. My sisters have the twins.” He spoke as he changed clothes. He summoned clothes for Zara and her bathroom supplies. He set them down on the bed and pulled her into a tight hug. He whispered to her, “I love you.” Then kissed her lightly and stepped away sitting on the edge of the bed leaving her to start getting ready. He kept his attention outside the door way ready to jump up and hold it shut if Apollo dared to try and enter while Zara was changing clothes.
Within a few minutes Apollo was at the door. Devon jumped off the bed landing on his hands and feet. He quickly stood and pressed himself against the door to prevent Apollo from opening it."You two better not be in that bed." Devon quickly locked the door. Apollo turned the knob. "Why is this locked?" Devon smirked and looked over at Zara. "Open this door right now!" Devon rolled his eyes, "Chill Dad. Zara's getting ready. I'd appreciate it if you stopped trying to come in while she's indecent. We'll be out in a couple minutes. Please just go away." Apollo was silent for a moment before grunting and stomping back down the stairs. Devon looked over at Zara, "Almost ready?" He asked softly. As soon as she was at his side he pulled her into a tight hug and kissed her as deeply and passionately as he could. "Ready for yet another day of being kept apart?" He frowned and held on to her tightly unwilling to let go even though he knew he had to. After several minutes he released her and took her hand in his, lacing his fingers with hers. He unlocked the door and pulled it open.
Before stepping into the hall way he stole another quick kiss. Then lead her down the stairs into the kitchen where everyone was waiting for them. "Its about damn time you two joined us." Apollo grunted. Adora glared at him and greeted them, "Morning dears. Sit, have some breakfast." She set down plates for the two of them and turned to her husband, "Leave them alone so they can eat in peace. We keep them apart far too much, one night won't be the end of the world Apollo." He grunted and left the kitchen. Devon smiled at his mother in appreciation for her understanding even though he knew as soon as they finished eating they would be separated and dragged off for more wedding tasks. Devon pulled Zara's chair out for her then sat down next to her. He moved his chair as close to hers as he could without being in her way. He placed his hand lightly on her leg and ate as slowly as he could. Was he stalling? Definitely. He finished too soon though and shoved his plate away but he made no movement to get up not wanting to leave her just yet. He kept his hand in her lap as he waited for her to finish, he propped his chin up with his free hand and spaced out slightly. He was tired, really tired and just wanted to curl up with her and drift off again.

| The sound of the door banging open and Apollo's angry voice wasn't even enough to rouse Zara from the death-like sleep she had fallen into. Her eyelashes fluttered slightly when Devon spoke to his father but there was no more of a reaction from her than that and Zara soon drifted off again. Before she could fully return to her deep slumber however, she felt Devon's warm touch on her cheek and although she didn't open her eyes or show any sign of it the touch roused her more than Apollo's outburst ever could have. She moaned softly with her eyes still closed but it wasn't until Devon's lips touched hers that she blinked open her eyes to look up at him. Once Zara was conscious enough to realise that this was the first proper kiss they had been able to share in quite a while she reached up and went to wrap her arms around Devon's neck, wanting the kiss to carry on and on until they were both out of breath. She missed kissing him like this and she hoped Adora and Apollo realised that when Devon was told at the alter that he could kiss the bride, the bride might very well tackle him to the ground and throw of her dress right then and there. Before the kiss could go any further however, Devon pulled away and it was all Zara could do not to glare up at him in a completely unimpressed manner.
She received one kiss to the forehead as compensation before Devon stood and helped her up as well. Zara nodded, slightly moodily, as Devon suggested they get a move on and took the clothes he had just summoned her without a word. Now that she was stood up and moving around Zara realised she was still not feeling herself, her stomach felt as if it was churning from last night's events and there was a tightening in her throat as if she was about to be sick once again. However, she didn't mention anything to Devon - if she said anything then he would insist she stay in bed which would inevitably lead to yet another argument between him and his father and Zara's head was pounding enough to determine that she wasn't about to take that chance. She was grateful when Devon pulled her into a tight hug and she was able to bury her face in his neck and breathe in his familiar scent. Too soon, however, Devon pulled back and kissed her forehead once more and Zara was left with no choice but to get dressed and try her best not to look too sickly.
She was halfway through getting dressed, with her jeans on and her shirt hanging from her hand when she heard Apollo's footsteps coming from down the corridor and heading for Devon's room. Zara looked up at Devon sharply just as he realised the same as she and jumped of his bed, landing on his hands and knees before pressing himself against the door to his room. Zara waited until Devon had turned the lock before continuing - if there was one thing she wasn't comfortable with it was anyone other than Devon seeing her body, the scars across her back definitely weren't something she advertised and she wasn't ready for Apollo to see anything of the sort. Zara pulled on her shirt quickly as Devon bickered with his father, relieved when Apollo gave in and stomped away back downstairs.
When Devon and Zara finally made their way downstairs Zara held tightly onto Devon's hand, taking deep breaths to try and calm her churning stomach, although it wasn't working amazingly well. Zara jumped slightly as they entered the kitchen and Apollo snapped at them both and she took her seat quickly, pulling Devon with her before he could answer back to his father. Adora placed a plate each in front of them both and Zara looked down at the eggs and bacon on hers and felt her stomach lurch uncomfortably. She looked across at Devon to see he was already tucking in but Zara knew she wasn't going to be able to finish her food whether she wanted to or not and she definitely didn't want to throw up in front of the whole of Devon's family. She pushed the eggs around her plate for a few minutes before spooning a tiny amount into her mouth and forcing herself to swallow it but it only made her feel worse.
Finally Zara gave up with trying to force down her breakfast and looked over at Devon again, only now noticing that he had cleaned his plate and was obviously waiting for her to finish. Glancing up to see that Adora had her back turned to them, washing some dishes in the sink, Zara quickly pushed most of her eggs and all of her bacon onto Devon's empty plate and spoke to him via their connection, "I can't eat it, I really don't feel good. Can you eat it so she doesn't know?" Zara shot him a pleading look before setting down her fork and pushing her plate away from her before moving her hands down to her stomach and pressing them against it. Adora spoke with her back to them, still washing up, making Zara jump slightly, "So Zara today we have cake tasting, and there is so much choice you'll be just amazed - I really wasn't expecting them to bring so many samples but they really came through on such short notice. I tell you, you'll be full by dinner time tonight." Zara sat there for a moment, staring into the distance as she listened to Adora before standing up silently, shaking her head at Devon, knowing she would be as white as a sheet, before hurrying from the room with her hand over her mouth. She past Apollo and Devon's sisters before any of them could say anything and Zara ran up the stairs and along the corridors until she reached the nearest bathroom.
Thankfully the chill of the white tile and open window calmed her, making her breathe deeper until the feeling that she was on the verge of throwing up had passed. Zara ran a hand through her hair and groaned softly, lowing herself down onto the bathroom floor and resting her head back against the bath, taking long deep breaths. The door to the bathroom was still wide open and she could hear Devon's footsteps a little way off down the corridor but she stayed quiet, thinking carefully about the previous night and if she had eaten anything, anything at all that would have caused her food poisoning like this.

| Devon watched as Zara pushed the eggs around her plate for a few minutes before spooning a tiny amount into her mouth and forcing herself to swallow it. He frowned but said nothing. He knew she hadn’t felt well the previous night and didn’t expect her to force herself to eat if she couldn’t stomach it. Finally Zara gave up with trying to force down her breakfast and looked over at Devon again. Glancing up to see that Adora had her back turned to them, washing some dishes in the sink, Zara quickly pushed most of her eggs and all of her bacon onto Devon's empty plate, he couldn’t keep the amused smile from his face he knew she didn’t want to upset his mother by not eating and spoke to him via their connection, Zara shot him a pleading look before setting down her fork and pushing her plate away from her before moving her hands down to her stomach and pressing them against it. Devon nodded and still keeping one hand on her lap quickly ate what she had moved over to his plate. When he finished he looked over at Zara watching her face as his mother went on and on about the cake, she looked ready to be sick again. Just as he was about to tell his mother to shut up Zara stood up silently, shaking her head at Devon, knowing she would be as white as a sheet, before hurrying from the room with her hand over her mouth. She past Apollo and Devon's sisters before any of them could say anything and Zara ran up the stairs and along the corridors until she reached the nearest bathroom.
As she exited the kitchen all eyes fell onto Devon. He frowned watching the doorway Zara had disappeared through as his mother spoke, “Is she alright?” Devon shrugged and stood up quickly to follow her. He pushed past his father ignoring the angry look he gave him. He rushed up the stairs and stepped into the bathroom finding Zara sitting on the floor leaning against the bath tub. He pushed the door shut lightly then carefully sat down next to her and took one of her hands in his as he wrapped his other arm around her and gently pulled her closer. “Are you okay?” He asked, his voice full of worry and concern for her. Zara closed her eyes and nodded, "I just feel sick and its cool in here and there's no one nagging us." She rubbed a hand over her face, that was true. For once they were nag free and it was honestly nice. But it sucked that she had to be sick to her stomach for it to happen.
He gently ran his thumb over the back of her hand as she continued, "I think I'll just get a glass of water and I'll be fine." Zara moved to stand up with one hand on the bath tub to push herself up, Devon held onto to her ready to help if she needed it. What was left of her colour drained from her face and Zara shook her head clutching her stomach and sinking back down to the floor. "Nope." He frowned for a moment then let go of her hand and stood up. “I’ll be right back.” He opened the door and stepped out pulling it shut behind him. He made his way back down the stairs into the kitchen ignoring questions from his family about Zara as he grabbed a cup from the cabinet and quickly filled it with cold water. He moved past his overly worried mother ignoring her pleas for him to tell her what was going on and made his way back up the stairs.
He opened the bathroom door again and stepped in, he knelt in front of Zara and handed her the cup. When she took it from him he waited while she drank it, once she handed it back to him he set it down on the sink and shifted so that he could place one arm under her legs and the other around her back. He lifted her carefully so not to jostle her and make her sick. He carried her slowly through the door, down the stairs into the living room. He sat down on the couch keeping her cradled in his arms as his family made their way into the room. Once they were seated he said, “I really don’t think she should do the cake tasting today. She already gave you a list of her favorites as have I. Just pick one and surprise us, we really don’t need to be part of every little detail of the planning.” He then turned his attention to Zara and kissed her head gently.
“The arches and chairs are only half finished Devon.” Apollo said in an annoyed tone. Devon looked up and glared at his father, “Then use your fucking wand and make some appear. It doesn’t all have to be done like muggles. Seriously Dad! None of you even listen to anything we say. We’re both content with something totally simple and all of you are going way over the top with everything it’s ridiculous.” Adora gasped, in an offended manor. Apollo grunted and his sisters started complaining. Devon didn’t care. They could all go jump off a freaking cliff right now for all he cared. He focused his attention on Zara completely ignoring everything they were saying.

| The cold tile was nothing compared to the comfort Zara gained from Devon as he placed his arm around her and Zara realised that it was his presence beside her that she had been missing these past few weeks more than anything else any case his arm around her did more to sooth her stomach than even the open window. After her failed attempt to stand and get herself a glass of water Zara mentally reserved herself to staying exactly where she was for at least the rest of the day. She hadn't felt her stomach lurch like that since before the twins were born and she was not a fan - anything she could do to avoid it would be exactlu what she did.
Just as she had comfortably settled herself back on the floor Devon shifted and stood up, zara looked up at him but said nothing not dating to move enough to speak and to exhausted to ask him anything over their connection. Instead she closed her eyes and listened to Devon's footsteps as they faded away somewhere downstairs. Zara went back to thinking about what she might have eaten while in her wolf form to cause such an upset to her stomach. She thought back to seeing a patch of foxglove growing beside one of the old oak trees where she had been running - was it possible she had gotten some on her paws or fur and then licked it up while cleaning herself? That wouldn't be good, foxglove was poisonous even in small doses and Zara really didn't fancy being sent to hospital when everyone was so stressed about the wedding. While her thoughts were still wandering Zara heard Devon return and opened her eyes to see him holding out a cup of water for her, she took it gladly, thanking him and taking small, careful sips, just testing how it made her stomach feel. Thankfully it seemed to chill her churning stomach and Zara started to feel a little better just in time for Devon to slide an arm around her and one under her legs and lift her off the bathroom floor. Zara wrapped her arms around her neck making it easier for him and buried her head in his neck, trying to make sure the rock of him walking didn't churn her stomach again.
Devon made his way downstairs and into the living room, Zara knew that at any second they would be inundated with questions from his family so she took the few moments they had to breathe him in and just enjoy being this close to him again. Devon sat down on the couch with Zara cradled on his knee in his arms and she just snuggled closer, burying herself in him and taking comfort in his warmth and familiarity. She heard Devon's family enter the room and take a seat around them, she really just wished they would go away and leave her be, as mean and ungrateful as that sounded Zara just wanted some peace and quiet. The best thing she could hope for was that they all just understood that she wasn't up to wedding planning today and that she needed Devon here with her. As she listened to Devon speak she could tell he was reaching is breaking point - all the frustration from the previous few weeks coming to the surface and making him ready to burst. In the end, of course, it was Apollo that broke the dam and everything came flooding out of Devon. Zara jumped slightly at his angry voice and buried her face deeper into his neck, really not wanting to be a part of this. She heard Adora's gasp of surprise and instantly felt bad for the lady who was so excited for all the wedding plans - it must have seemed like she and Devon were so ungrateful when the truth was they were very grateful but they were just desperate for some time alone and away from his family.
Now everyone was saying something at once - Devon's sisters were complaining loudly and Apollo was shouting, Zara moaned softly, the noise starting to piece her ears and give her the starting of a headache. Apollo was yelling at Devon and was too close for comfort in Zara's opinion, "--I have never known a more ungrateful child then you, Devon, your mother and I give you everything and every time you just throw it back in our faces. Your mother has put a lot of time and effort into this and the least you could do is abide by our wishes!" Was it Zara's imagination or was Apollo getting closer, perhaps it was just the fact his voice was ringing in her eyes. "We are keeping you and Zara apart for your own good, you have proved that you both aren't responsible when the twins were conceived and I'll be damned if I let that happen again under my roof!" Zara could feel Devon shaking with anger beneath her and she gently began stroking his neck with her fingers to try and calm him although she doubted it would make much of a difference. Apollo hadn't finished yet though, "You are damn lucky, Devon, that your mother and I didn't stop you seeing Zara altogether but now I wonder if we made the wrong decision!" That comment was followed by a shocked outburst of "Apollo!" by Adora but it was already out there and even Zara looked up from Devon's shoulder to stare at Apollo in shock.

| Devon quickly tuned out his family. He had no interest in what they were saying. All he wanted to do was comfort Zara and snuggle up to her. His fathers voice was growing louder and louder with each word, soon enough everyone else stopped yelling and only Apollo could be heard. He was yelling at Devon, moving closer by the second as he spoke, "--I have never known a more ungrateful child then you, Devon, your mother and I give you everything and every time you just throw it back in our faces. Your mother has put a lot of time and effort into this and the least you could do is abide by our wishes!" Devon scowled deeply but didn't look up at his father. Maybe if he didn't react he would stop. But that didn't happen, as much as Devon wished it would.
"We are keeping you and Zara apart for your own good, you have proved that you both aren't responsible when the twins were conceived and I'll be damned if I let that happen again under my roof!" Devon clenched his jaw shut willing himself not to say anything. He was do pissed he was shaking, Zara must have felt it because she gently began stroking his neck with her fingers to try and calm him, he appreciated it but it really wasn't as calming as he hoped.
Devon looked up meeting Apollo's angry glare. He kept his jaw clenched as he gently lifted Zara from his lap and set her carefully on to the couch cushion beside him. He kissed her lightly on the forehead and gave her an apologetic look, mostly for what he was about to do. He then stood up and without a word shoved Apollo as hard as he could knocking him back a few steps. "Like y-you have any k-knowledge on my maturity or even Z-zara's for t-that m-matter. I already k-know I'm a far b-better father than y-you even will be." Devon then stormed off out of the room ignoring his mothers attempt to keep him from leaving. He slid down to the floor in the hallway and took slow, deep breathes willing himself to calm down. Before he had even a minute to collect his thoughts his father was standing over him. "What the hell is wrong with you Devon?" He shouted at him. His sudden tone made Devon flinch but he stood up and said, "You are always y-yelling at me about n-not being good enough at anything. It's almost l-like you are p-punishing me for all the shit you never accomplished in y-your life."
Devon straightened and took a breath trying to calm himself so he wouldn't keep stuttering, "You never made good grades in school. You made all the wrong choices." Devon motioned to Apollo's arm. "You chose the dark side over helping mom save people. And now you have a reminder every day of your mistakes. Yet here you are constantly criticizing me, telling me I am irresponsible and immature. I get top marks, I was a prefect in fifth and sixth year and this year, I was head boy. Obviously that shows responsibility on my part. Yes, I got Zara pregnant, probably s-shouldn't have but I wouldn't change anything that has happened this year for the world. I love both Kora and Ryan unconditionally. Can you say the same about me, Hayden and Whitney? I doubt it! You're nothing but a selfish asshole who only thinks for himself, everyone else is just a inconvenience in your life. I love Zara, and I will marry her. And you can not and will not continue to keep me from her!" By the end of his long out burst Devon was screaming at Apollo and was completely unaware that his sisters, mother and Zara were all standing in the kitchen door way with their mouths hanging open staring at him and Apollo.
Devon crossed his arms over his chest and continued to stare at his father, knowing if he backed down he would be asking for it. He had to stand tall and strong right now to prove his point to him. Apollo glared at Devon for several long minutes before finally saying, "I---" Then grunting and walking away from Devon down into the basement. Devon let out the breath he had been holding and dropped to the floor and leaned against the wall. Had he really just won that argument with his dad?

| As soon as Devon shifted her off his lap Zara knew what he was about to do, "Devon, please don't." She spoke but the words were barely above a whisper and either Devon didn't hear her or he ignored them. Zara watched at Devon turned to his father and shoved him hard, Zara gasped and moved to get up but as she did so she caught Adora's frightened eyes and Devon's mother shook her head slightly, indicating that Zara should say seated. Something in Adora's eyes told Zara that it wasn't because she wanted them to fight that she made Zara sit down but more because Adora had seen Apollo's temper at its worse and she didn't want Zara to get in the way if things got ugly. However, Apollo was too shocked to do anything or say anything before Devon had stormed out of the room. This time Zara got up shakily and hurried towards the door after Devon, Adora, Whitney and Hayden close behind her. Unfortunately, Apollo was way ahead of them and before the four of them had even reached the doorway they could hear Apollo shouting at Devon. Once she reached the doorway and could see Apollo and Devon in the hallway Zara stopped and held onto the door frame for support, as she could feel her stomach churning and her legs felt weak.
They didn't have to wait long before Apollo was silenced, however, which was something Zara had never experienced . When she glanced across at Adora she looked equally shocked and there was a fear in her eyes that Zara didn't like the look of. Zara looked back at Devon and Apollo as the former started screaming at Apollo, and Zara looked on in shock and mild horror. She hated that Devon had to go through this to get respect from his father but at the same time she knew this had been coming for a while. Devon finished and there was a long, deep silence as the four women looked on, with eyes wide and mouth open in shock. Apollo stood tall in front of Devon, his eyes burning with fury but he seemed unable to say anything as Devon stood up to him and didn't break eye contact once. The tension was almost palpable until Apollo broke the silence but seemed unable to finish what he had been about to say and instead he grunted, turned and walked away. This was more shocking to Zara than anything that had happened yet and it seemed the same went for Adora and the girls because for several minutes after Apollo left they all stood in silence in the same positions as Devon slid down to the floor. Maybe they were half expecting Apollo to return.
Finally Zara pulled herself together and shook herself free of her position in the doorway she quietly made her way over to Devon, she didn't really know what to say so decided not to say anything at all. Instead, Zara leant down and grabbed Devon's hand, she silently pulled on it indicating for him to get up and when he did Zara didn't let go of him. She led him towards the back door of the house and as she passed Adora she asked quietly, "Could you please keep an eye on the twins for an hour." Adora nodded without saying anything, a silent agreement between the two of them. With that, Zara led Devon to the door and out onto the grass. She still didn't say a word as they walked towards the edge of the forest - Zara had experienced many screaming matches with her father over the years and there was never anything to explain how you felt after it so instead she was taking Devon to do what she always did afterwards. They broke through the boundary of the trees and when they were far enough in to be out of sight of the house Zara turned to Devon and instructed him quietly, "Change with me." Without waiting for an answer Zara pulled of her shirt and unbuttoned her jeans, undressing until she was naked in front of Devon before stowing her clothes in a hole in a nearby tree. She looked at Devon and nodded, "Change, it'll help." Then she walked away behind a tree and concentrated hard, slowly she started to feel the change sending tingling through her body. Within a moment she dropped to the ground but before she had fully fallen she was already fully transformed.
Zara picked herself up, blinking and getting used to the black and white vision of her wold form. "Devon?" Zara heard a rustling and emerged from behind her tree, her paw pads barely making a sound on the forest floor. She saw Devon before her in his wolf form and she barked happily at him, using the connection to communicate. "Run with me." She circled him and then nudged him with her nose before turning and starting to lope off into the woods, slowly she picked up speed, feeling the wind whip around her. It felt good and she knew Devon would be feeling it too, for she could hear the thudof his own paws behind her. Zara shook her head and burst into a sprint, darting round trees and leaping over ditches, feeling freer than she had done in weeks.

| Devon sat on the floor completely in shock and total silence. He heard rather than saw Zara shift from her position in the doorway she quietly made her way over to Devon, he glanced up at her his expression blank as he waited for her speak. But she didn't, instead Zara leaned down and grabbed Devon's hand, she silently pulled on it indicating for him to get up. He stood up slowly without a word, not bothering to ask why she wanted him to get up. Once he was standing she kept hold of his hand, he laced his fingers with hers.
She led him towards the back door of the house and as she passed Adora she asked quietly, "Could you please keep an eye on the twins for an hour." Adora nodded without saying anything, a silent agreement between the two of them. With that, Zara led Devon to the door and out onto the grass. She still didn't say a word as they walked towards the edge of the forest. Devon followed, curiosity and wonder filled his mind, but stayed quiet. He knew she would eventually explain where they were going and what she was planning. They broke through the boundary of the trees and when they were far enough in to be out of sight of the house Zara turned to Devon and instructed him quietly, "Change with me." Devon stared at her for a moment in complete confusion as she started stripping down in front of him. Did she really want to surely not here and now? She had to have gone mad. He watched her still confused as she continued undressing until she was naked in front of Devon before stowing her clothes in a hole in a nearby tree. She looked at Devon and nodded, "Change, it'll help." Then she walked away behind a tree and concentrated, Devon stood bewildered what on earth? Then he felt a tug at his mind of her changing into her wolf form. Realization and understanding finally dawned on him, and he smiled slightly. He stashed his wand with Zara's clothes then quickly shifted and sat down waiting for her to finish her transition.
"Devon?" He shifted slightly at her voice in his mind. Zara emerged from behind her tree, her paw pads barely making a sound on the forest floor. She saw Devon before her in his wolf form and she barked happily at him, using the connection to communicate. "Run with me." She circled him and then nudged him with her nose before turning and starting to lope off into the woods, slowly she picked up speed. He watches her for a moment before taking off after her. It felt good, freeing even. Zara shook her head and burst into a sprint, darting round trees and leaping over ditches, Devon sprinted closely at her heels.
He caught up to her and tackled her carefully to the ground and barked at her. He nuzzled into her, the licked her snout before jumping up and darting a few yards away. "What made you decide to do this?" He asked through their connection. As he waited for her answer he ran back to the tree where their wands and her clothes were stashed he dragged them out and made his way back to her. He dropped them in front of her and shifted back to normal. He sat down beside her and gently scratched behind her ear and leaned into her. "I'm sorry he and I keep fighting. I wish we wouldn't. I really hate it." He kissed her snout lightly and fell silent.

| Soon enough, Zara felt Devon's weight land on top of her, causing her legs to collapse beneath her and leaving them in a furry, panting pile. Zara barked happily up at Devon as he licked her snout and decided to remain where she was, lying on the ground and watching him as Devon darted away and spoke through their connection again. She stayed silent for a moment as he darted away back into the trees to collect their belongings, mulling over her answer in her head before replying as he returned with her clothes. "I used to go out running a lot in my human form when Fenrir and I would fight and then when I realised I could control my wolf form more readily I started transforming just to run. It helps, keeps your mind awake and aware and away from the things that are bothering you, I thought it might do the same for you." Zara leaned her head against Devon as he sat beside her, listening as he spoke again, this time in his normal voice as he had shifted back into human form.
For the moment Zara remained in her wolf form, she wanted to talk to Devon and spend time with him and her transformation was time consuming and not a pretty sight to see so until they were ready to return to the house, Zara decided it was best for her to remain this way. Even if that meant Devon had to scratch her ears, while she sat beside him - which Zara enjoyed a lot more than she would ever admit and during which she only just managed to stop her heavy tail from thumping happily on the forest floor. She listened to what Devon said about his father, after all if there was anyone who was going to understand about a dysfunctional relationship with their father it was going to be her. As Devon finished and kissed her snout gently, Zara licked his cheek before resting her head back on his shoulder. She let the silent drag out for a few more minutes before responding via the connection, "You don't have to get on with him all the time, Devon, maybe you just need to accept that its not going to happen and then the two of you can live civilly under the same roof at least." She paused and straightened up, looking directly at him with her black, shining eyes, "No matter what you have me and we have the twins, he's not important to us right now, we don't need him. It's just us." They sat for a further few moments in silence before Zara picked herself up off the floor and padded off to start her transformation.
The final days passed before the big day and it would have been a lie to say they were quiet and peaceful. No, arguments blazed left, right and centre and not only between Devon and Apollo. Finally, however, it was the eve of the wedding, Devon and Zara had been given strict instructions to stay as far away from each other as possible so Zara had excused herself after dinner and returned to her room to make sure she had everything ready for tomorrow. Or at least that was her excuse. The truth was that as soon as she was out of sight of the family she had hurried back to her room and snatched up a plastic carrier bag, which was hidden under her bed. Now, Zara was sitting on the edge of the bath, the bathroom door locked, with her stomach in knots, as it had been all day. One again she felt the now all too familiar clench in her stomach, the sickness making her want to throw up for the second time that day. Zara did her best to calm herself and her stomach and pulled out the small box that was inside the bag. 'ClearBlue' the label read - a pregnancy test, the idea had been playing on Zara's mind for a while, but she dared not voice her concerns to anyone else, even Devon. The sickness that she had assumed was from something she had eaten, had simply never gone away. Almost every morning since then Zara had been forced out of bed by the knotting and lurching of her stomach.
It wasn't something she seriously thought was possible, seeing as she and Devon had barely seen each other over the past month or so, let alone anything that would warrant a pregnancy. Nevertheless, while out shopping for her wedding dress with Devon's mother and sisters, Zara had slipped away and bought a muggle pregnancy test - better safe than sorry, after all. Zara read through the instructions briefly, rather disgusted at the method of carrying it out but soon enough she was sat back on the side of the bath, waiting for the funny little piece of plastic to tell her she was being paranoid. She checked the box again to see how long she had to wait and rolled her eyes, holding the stick in front of her as she listened to the others moving around the house. Zara thought about the white dress, covered and carefully hanging from the curtain rail in her bedroom - it was beautiful, more so than she ever could have imagined and something that surprised her, despite the situation she was in at the moment, was that she could feel the pinpricks of excitement coiling inside her. It felt like they had been waiting for forever and now finally the day was almost here, Zara could only hope that everything went smoothly.
It seemed that she must have drifted off into her own thoughts because when she came to and glanced down at the stick, it was already a solid pink colour. Zara frowned and grabbed the instructions, reading them quickly to find the part about which colour meant what. Pink - Positive. Zara stared at the stick for several more minutes - it must be wrong, a false positive, a dud - muggle products obviously didn't work. A little shakily Zara stood up and dropped the stick angrily into the little white bin - stupid thing. Ridiculous. Zara left the bathroom in a hurry, wanting to put as much distance between the stick and her as possible, it was wrong, she knew that - but still, what if it wasn't. She went to bed early, knowing Adora wanted her up early in the morning, although she was far too restless to sleep and instead spent most of the night starring up at the ceiling until she finally drifted off to sleep.

| Devon tried as best as he could for Zara not to argue with his father for the remaining weeks before the wedding. But as tensions grew it became more and more impossible. Everyone seemed to be arguing with everybody. Worst of all Devon saw less and less if Zara. He was lucky to give her a quick hug at meals before they were dragged in opposite directions. They had the nights together but both of them were far too exhausted to even speak before passing out. After what felt like years, ever though it was only a week, the night before the wedding was upon them. Against Devon's many protests Zara was pulled away from him for the night. After watching her disappear to her room he cast his mother a look with a very sad expression plastered on his face. "Oh Devon, stop that. You will see her tomorrow. Go to bed, you have a very long day ahead of you." Adora hugged Devon tightly and kissed his forehead as she tousled his hair a bit before giving him a gently shove towards his room.
Devon frowned but didn't argue with his mother, she was right he would see her tomorrow and it was going to be a very long day. He was looking forward to it but he was also extremely nervous, terrified and anxious. He didn't just want Zara with him tonight, he needed her with him. Not because he was used to her next to him every night curled up in his arms but because she would know just what to say to him as she snuggled into him to calm his nerves. He pushed his bedroom door open, quickly kicking off his shoes and stripping down to his boxers not really wanting to bother with finding pajama pants he climbed up to his bed an collapsed on it. He contemplated trying to talk to Zara through their connection but didn't want to bother her. For all he knew she was asleep since her thoughts seemed pretty quiet. He had detected a slight panic but before he could even focus on it, the feeling had vanished. Plus his eyes were already getting heavy as he began to drift off to sleep.
Someone shook him, "hmm..." He mumbled as he rolled over. "Devon!" The person shook him again. "Get up!" Devon pulled the blanket over his head, unwilling to be roused from his sleep. His blanket was pulled away from him; he heard it hit the floor, before he could protest he was jabbed in the ribs. “Get up!” Devon sat up rubbing his eyes and glared through the darkness at the unwanted visitor. “Go away.” He said quietly. “I am not going to let my lazy best friend miss his own wedding get the hell up Dev! Come on!” Devon scowled at Alex but stood up slowly stretching and yawning as he spoke, “What time is it?” Alex threw some clothes at Devon and said, “Few minutes past seven. But your mom wants you outside to help with some final details and set up.” Devon groaned but said nothing as he pulled on his pants and shirt; he brushed past Alex and made his way towards the door. He stopped and turned to look at Alex, “Have you talked to Zara at all? Is she up yet?” Alex shook his head, “No, sorry. Your Mum’s got her on lock down on the other side of the house. Yours sisters have Kora and Ryan down in the kitchen though.” Devon frowned, he’d hoped Alex might have gotten to talk to her and had some sort of message from Zara for him. He pulled open his door and headed down the stairs. He froze on the bottom step, causing Alex run into him. There were so many people moving around taking things outside. Seeing the problem Alex nudged Devon, “Come on, you’ll be fine. You have me right next to you. If you don’t want to talk, don’t. You don’t have to. It’s just as much your day as it is hers. Now come on, let’s find your Dad.” Devon was grateful that Alex was here with him; he’d have turned and disappeared back upstairs if he wasn’t.
The two boys made their way into the kitchen where Whitney had Kora in her arms and Ryan was sitting in a high chair next to her. Kora twisted in Whitney’s arms and instantly reached up to Devon. He smiled at her and took her from his sister. “Good morning baby girl.” He kissed her fat little hand as she touched his face with it. Her other hand tugging at a strand of his hair. “I love you too Kora.” He passed her back to Whitney then turned to Ryan, “Hey buddy. Keeping your sister under control?” Ryan babbled as if to answer. “Good.” Devon kissed his head and motioned towards Alex before heading outside. Just missing Adora tugging Zara by the hand through the kitchen into the living room.
Once outside Apollo wasted no time to start dishing out orders, “Alexander help set up those chairs. Devon, take that table over there.” Both boys rushed over to do what they were told, Apollo already seemed pissed and on edge, Devon didn’t want to fight with him today. He really hoped his father extended the same courtesy towards him, but he doubted it. Over the next several hours Devon and Alex placed chairs and tables in their proper places. Devon sat down in the grass fed up with putting things where they belonged. There couldn’t be more than one or two hours left before the wedding actually started and he hadn’t been able to eat or shower all day. He was exhausted, grumpy and did not want to be outside in the cold. It wasn’t freezing but it was cool enough to get a shiver when the wind blew. Apollo came to stand over Devon, reaching down with a hand, Devon took it reluctantly. “Come on Devon. You’re finished out here. Let’s go inside and get you ready. I shouldn’t have kept you out here helping for so long.” Devon was a bit shocked at his father’s kindness and very obvious concern in his voice. Devon followed him inside without a word.
As soon as they were inside Devon’s room Apollo spoke, “I know I have been hard on you all your life. I want you to know that it isn’t because I think I am better than you, I know I am far from. I push you because I know you are a much greater wizard than I am. You are extremely intelligent and you despite your age are very wise beyond your years. I am very proud of you Devon.” Devon’s mouth fell open in total shock. “I-I-I…” Apollo smiled, “Get a shower Devon. You don’t have much time to get ready.” Devon nodded and went into the bathroom. He stripped down and took a quick shower. Once he was clean he stepped out of the shower and wrapped a towel around himself. He went back into his room and grabbed a clean pair of boxers from his dresser finding his father sitting at Devon’s desk wearing a tux. He must have gone to change while Devon had been in the shower. Apollo motioned towards a bag hanging from the door. “Yours is in the back.” Devon nodded and unzipped the bag quickly dressing. He fumbled with his tie for a few minutes before Apollo joined him and gently started tying it properly as he spoke, “Relax Dev, focus on Zara and nothing else. No one outside matters besides you and her. Just imagine it’s only you and her standing there with the minister. No reason to be shy, or nervous. The rest of your life with Zara and your beautiful twins starts today. Don’t waste the moment with anxiety.” Apollo finished with Devon’s tie and hugged him momentarily. Devon froze and stared at Apollo, “I…” Apollo just smiled and motioned towards the door, “Ready?” Devon swallowed hard and nodded slowly. “Come on then.” Apollo lead Devon out of his room and down the stairs. Alex was standing in the living room wearing his tux, “Looking sharp Dev!” He winked at Devon. He smiled weakly at Alex and followed Apollo outside. He stayed focused on the ground as he walked down the aisle ignoring everyone and everything. He could feel his heart racing in his chest and felt like he was going to throw up. He glanced at the minister who smiled at him and whispered, “You look nervous.” Devon nodded without looking up from the ground. “I’ll let you know when to look down the aisle at your fiancé.” Devon nodded again, swallowing hard again, unable to shake the feeling that he was going to be sick.
It felt like hours passed by but he knew it had been minutes. The minister finally nudged Devon and said, “There, she’s coming out now.” Devon quickly looked up towards the back of the house to see Zara step out with Alex standing next to her. ”Whoa…” Was his instant thought. He smiled as soon as her gaze met his. ”You look breathtaking Zara.” He knew she’d would have heard him, since they had the claim between them. ”I love you.”He did exactly what his dad had suggested; he kept his focus on her knowing if he even dared look at the crowd of people around them he’d want to run. As soon as Zara was at his side he took her hand in his knowing she’d be able to feel that he was shaking. His eyes stayed locked with hers as the minister started speaking to the crowd behind them. He heard him but didn’t at the same time. He just hoped he could find his voice when it was his turn to speak. It would be extremely embarrassing if he tripped and stuttered over his vows in front of everyone in attendance. The more he thought about making his vows with a smooth and clear voice the more nervous he got. Automatically he started chewing on the corner of his bottom lip, a clear give away that his nerves were getting the best of him.

| Obviously, sleep wasnt her friend that night because Zara was awake long before the hustle and bustle in the lower levels of the house began. She lay in her bed with her eyes fixed on the white dress hanging on the wardrobe, listening to people calling out and moving around below her. Eventually, Zara heard the hurried footsteps that signalled Adora had decided it was time for her to get up. Zara counted down the second before Adora would rap sharply on the door, wondering if Devon was awake yet and how he was feeling. She didn't want to contact him just in case it made him feel even more anxious. Before she could consider it anymore, however, Adora was calling through to her.
Five minutes later, Zara was fumbling around the room attempting to get dressed while Adora fussed after her. She seemed to follow Zara wherever she went, letting her know all about the plans for the day and where she was supposed to be at what time. Zara headed forth shower but turned just as she got through the door, realising that Adora seemed to be following her while listing off what food was being prepared for the reception. Adora stopped as Zara did an looked up at her, meeting her stern look and backing off quickly, muttering quietly, "Right, right." Zara smiled awkwardly and closed the door, sighing with relief now that she was finally alone. However, the relief didn't last long as Zara undressed and her gaze fell upon the white waste bin beside the toilet - the ordeal of last night returning to her. What if she was pregnant? Surely not. They didn't have bad luck to that extent, did they? Not that she wasn't thankful every waking minute for Kora and Ryan but no one could ever say that it had been a planned event. Zara felt her stomach flip, at first she thought it was just nerves about the day ahead, mixed with the thought of the pink stick, but a moment later Zara felt it lurch and she stumbled to the toilet to throw up.
Before she could even gather herself Adora was shouting through the door to her, asking if she was alright. "I'm fine, just nerves I think." Zara replied, shakily, moving slowly to turn on the water for her shower. As soon as she was finished in the bathroom and has dressed, Adora was shoving her out of the door and into the corridor, telling her to head down to the living room while she brought the makeup and hair equipment down. Zara nodded, not really sure what to say and feeling a little alarmed by the prospect of Adora doing her hair and makeup - Zara hadn't even thought about it all before that moment. She was making her way slowly downstairs when Adora appeared beside her and started tugging her by the hand to encourage her to move faster. They reached the ground floor and as Adora paused for a second, Zara caught a glimpse of Devon with Alex and Whitney. Zara longed to go over to them and hold her babies and speak with the other as easily a they normally would. Most of all she wanted to be beside Devon again and to hold his hand, to make sure he wasnt worrying too much. Zara noticed Devon was about to turn and smiled but before their eyes could meet Adora tugged Zara away into the living room, closing the door behind them.
Hayden was already in the room, grinning and the sheer excitement pouring off her forced a smile out of Zara as well and Hayden giggled, jumping on the spot an clapping as she saw it. "Right, right. Sit down in front of the mirror, Zara and Hayden hand me my wand." Adora and Hayden had set up the lounge to look like a muggle beauty parlour with a little stool for Zara im front of a large mirror with lights all around it. Zara smiled at the effort they had put into everything as they sat down - she really was grateful. Adora began straight away with Hayden standing beside her holding some squirty stuff in an aerosol bottle and what looked like thousands of hair slides.
About half an hour into the procedure Adora nodded to Hayden and she scurried off to fetch the makeup bag. Zara raised her eyebrows and Adora smiled back, "Hayden is going to start your makeup because im almost finished with your hair and then we need to go and get you dressed." Zara looked up, alarmed, "Already?" there must be at least another three hours surely. Hayden began work on her makeup as Adora replied, "It's only an hour and a half before the service starts, dear." Zara stayed quiet at this, her nerves getting the better of her. Not too much later, Hayden retreated and Adora grinned proudly, "Finished." Zara looked properly in the mirror for the first time. She had been worried she wouldn't look like herself but Hayden's makeup was soft and brightened her pale face without changing her skin tone, it exaggerated her eyes and her lips but mot in way that looked false. As for her hair, Zara had never imagined it could look like that - lightly curled and elegantly pinned back with a cluster cascading down over her shoulder. Zara noticed each curl was shimmering slightly in a way that could only be magical. "Thank you," Zara looked up at them both, "So much." Adora smiled back then clapped her hands twice, "Right, upstairs with you, I think Devon is outside so we shwould be fine."
Once the small party, joined by Whitney, was upstairs, Zara unhooked the dress from her wardrobe and laid it out carefully on the bed. Adora was back to business again and ordered Hayden and Whitney out of the room while Zara changed. As the door closed behind them, Adora presented Zara with a satin box tied with white ribbon, "For underneath the dress, dear." Zara turned bright red, which only went brighter when he opened it to find a white lace basque with white, velvet ribbon ties at the bback and a pair of matching lacey French panties. Zara wasnt given the chance to become anymore embarrassed, however, before Adora was telling her to undress. She helped lace up the back of the basque and Zara knew she would be able to see the scars that crisscrossed her back but for some reason it didnt seem to matter, which surprised Zara - she had assumed the only person she woulf ever feel comfortable seeing her scars would be Devon. With everything else in place, the only thing left was the dress. Zara obediently stepped into it as Adora called in Hayden and Whitney to help with the buttons.
Finally, it was finished and Adora les Zara over to the mirror, "You look beaitiful." Zara smiled, looking at the way the dress doing to her and the way her dark hair fell gently upon the white fabric. It was amazing. "Mum, we need to go - Devon's walking down the aisle." Zara turned as Hayden called this from the window. It seemed so surreal - Devon was walking down the aisle and would be waiting for her so they could get married. Zara panicked suddenly, "Where are Kora and Ryan? Are they ready?" Adora led her by the hand out of the room while Hayden and Whitney held up the dress, and replied gently, "Don't worry, they're with my mother and sister - they've been getting them ready and Apollo and I will have them during the service." Zara nodded, her throat dry as they made their way down to the kitchen. Adora shooed Whitney and Hayden out of the door to find their seats before turning to Zara, who must have looked a lot paler than usual because she smiled reassuringly, "Don't be nervous, just focus om what's important - no one else out there matters apart from you and Devon. This is your time now." Zara smiled weakly but the words helped and she nodded as Adora continued, "I'm going to find my seat. Then, when you are ready you can follow, okay?" Zara bit her lip abd answered softly, "Okay and thank you for everything, Adora." Just as she finished Alex came in through the door, smiling, "Nice frock, Zara, where you going? A wedding?" Zara glowered at him but he only grinned more. Adora squeezed Zara's hand before going off to find her place in the crowd. Alex offered Zara his arm and she slipped her hand through it. "Ready?" He asked, Zara looked up at him, "I think so." Alex smiled at her as they prepared to go out, "How high are your heels?" Zara grimaced slightly, "Worryingly high for me." Alex laughed, "Dont worry, I won't let you fall." With that he pushed open the door and led her slowly down the aisle.
Harp music was playing in the background and Zara could hear the soft mumbling as the crowd stood up to greet her. She only focussed on Devon - he looked up at her and she smiled as she finally heard him through their connection. "I love you too." She replied as she and Alex approached Devon and the minister. Zara took a chance and glanced to the side, seeing Ryan on Adora's knee, watching her intently and Kora on Apollo's. Zara turned her attention back to Devon as she came up beside him, letting go of Alex and taking Devon's hand instead. She gripped it tightly, knowing he must be beyond nervous by the way he was shaking. Zara's eyes met his as the minister started to speak. Zara had expected the speech to be about marriage abd the meaning behind it but the minister spoke about how they had met, their friendship, Kora and Ryan and who they were as a family.
The minister cane to the marriage vows and Zara squeezed Devon's hand knowing he would have to speak soon. The minister continued, "Devon, do you take Zara to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to behold, for better and for worse, for richer and for poorer, in sickness and in health, from this day until the end of days?" Zara wasnt sure if Devon had actually heard the minister so she squeezed his hand again and nodded very slightly to him smiling.. Once Devon finished the minister asked the same to Zara and she replied quietly, "I do." The minister requested the rings and Alex brought them forward, he took Zara's ring abd gave it to Devon. "Devon, take this ring and place it on Zara's finger and repeat after me - with this ring... I offer you my hand... and my heart... as I know they will be safe with you... and all that I have I share with you." After each part thr minister waited for Devon to repeat the words before turning to Zara an she said the same as she pushed the ring gently onto Devon's shaking finger. The minister smiled at them both and said quietly, "Well done, the hard parts over." he turned to th crowd, "Devon and Zara's vows may have been spoken in minutes but their promises will last for eternity. As they have pledged themselves to meet sorrow and happiness as one family together with their children, Kora and Ryan, I now pronounce them husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."
OOC: I'll let you fill this bit in
As Zara and Devon walked back down the aisle, the cheering and clapping that had started when they kissed continued and the two of them were showered in confetti thrown by Whitney, Hayden and several other of Devon's relatives. Zara laughed and looked over at Devon, glad to see he was smiling too. As they reached the end, they stopped to receive hugs from Alex, Adora and Apollo. The latter of whom passed Kora to Zara and Ryan to Devon. Kora clung to Zara and Zara held her tightly, breathing her in - feeling like she hadn't been able to hold her properly in weeks. Zara mover closer to Devon so that she could cuddle Ryan, as more and more relatives arrived to congratulate them.
OOC: So I thought you'd want to fill in Devons bits and take them into the reception before we bring Fenrir in?

| The minister continued, "Devon” He heard his name and flinched, he’d have to speak now. He knew he wouldn’t be able to without stuttering, “Do you take Zara to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to behold, for better and for worse, for richer and for poorer, in sickness and in health, from this day until the end of days?" Zara squeezed his hand, fuck! He was supposed to speak. Words totally failed him. What was that line? Crap crap… “I....I do.” He said to so quietly he didn’t even know if anyone heard him. But the minister must have since he continued speaking, asking the same to Zara and she replied quietly, "I do." The minister requested the rings and Alex brought them forward, he took Zara's ring and gave it to Devon. "Devon, take this ring and place it on Zara's finger and repeat after me - with this ring” Devon with very shakey hands took the ring from the minister and took Zara’s hand in his and repeated, “With th-this r-ring” He inhaled slowly trying to calm himself, “I-I offer you m-my hand... a-and my heart... as I-I know they will b-be s-safe with y-you... a-a-and all that I-I have I-I share with y-you." It took a bit of effort but he managed to get through the vows and placed her ring properly on her finger. She got through hers so much smoother than he had, he smiled at her, at least she spoke effortlessly and flawlessly in front of everyone. The minister smiled at them both and said quietly, "Well done, the hard parts over." He turned to the crowd, "Devon and Zara's vows may have been spoken in minutes but their promises will last for eternity. As they have pledged themselves to meet sorrow and happiness as one family together with their children, Kora and Ryan, I now pronounce them husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."
There was that line, the most important part, aside from vows. And suddenly Devon froze. There were so many people standing before him. Everything around him spun, he swayed slightly. He wanted to run, but he couldn’t run, not now, they were almost through it. He looked to Zara her expression expectant. She seemed to realize the problem and suddenly smiled at him and gently squeezed his hand. He quickly leaned in forcing himself to forget about the hundreds of people sitting in front of them and kissed her, weakly at first but quickly it was normal, full of his usual passion he put into all their kisses. He pulled away and smiled at her for a moment then kissed her gently again. He let go of her hand and pulled her to him in a tight hug kissing her gently on her lips again as the minister spoke to the crowd announcing them officially as Mr and Mrs Avery. Devon pulled away from their embrace and kept his arm tightly around Zara’s waist as the turned towards the applauding crowd. He hadn’t noticed a moment before that they had been applauding. Kissing Zara had clouded everything around them, just as it always had for him.
As Zara and Devon walked back down the aisle, the cheering and clapping that had started when they kissed continued and the two of them were showered in confetti thrown by Whitney, Hayden and several others of Devon's relatives. Zara laughed and looked over at Devon, glad to see he was smiling too. He was confident at the moment, but mostly because he had Zara’s arm wrapped around him. Despite everyone here being his family and people he grew up around he was still overwhelmed. He couldn’t wait to pull Zara away for a moment of silence with just her to calm his nerves. Zara moved closer to Devon so that she could cuddle Ryan, as more and more relatives arrived to congratulate them.
He knew he shouldn’t have but Devon quickly zoned out during the long line of people congratulating them. Not only was it boring but he was in no shape to talk on his own so a lot of his responses were a simple nod or shake of his head. Anytime someone pulled Zara to one side or the other he moved with her, unwilling to be away from her. But not just for his nerves but also for the fact that they had barely seen each other over the last several weeks. So, simply just standing next to her with his arm around her felt like a privilege at this point. Finally after what felt like hours the last person in line congratulated them and headed towards the reception area of the yard. Hayden and Whitney took the twins to get them settled so that Zara and Devon could have a moment before heading into the front yard.
The second they were alone Devon turned Zara to him and smiled at her, “You’re almost taller than me in those heels.” He gently touched her face his thumb over where her scar was even though it was totally masked by makeup. He stepped back to really take a look at her in her dress now that he could focus on her and not the millions of people around them. “You do look beautiful though.” He stroked her cheek again adding softly, “Don’t take it wrong, but I don’t really like all the makeup my sisters and mother caked on your face.” He wiped his thumb under his lip and showed her saying with a chuckle, “I don’t want to wear your makeup.” He wiped it on his pants then took her hand in his and looping their arms together. “Shall we go get this last part over with then?”

| Eventually, the line of gushing relatives faded and once Zara had smiled and thanked the last two for being there while receiving hugs and kisses to the cheek, Whitney and Hayden approved to take the twins. Rather reluctantly Zara passed them over, wishing she could spend more time with them but also knowing that after today there would be no excuse for anyone to keep them from her and she would be able to spend as much time as she wanted playing with them. Over the past month or so she had missed her little family, just the togetherness that they had been able to share when they lived back in their quarters at the school. She missed being able to watch Devon spoil them and just simply watching them learn new things - it felt like she had missed out majorly lately but Zara passed Kora over knowing that it would all change soon. As Hayden and Whitney made their way over to the reception Zara turned to Devon, despite everything greatly relieved to finally have a moment alone with him. She smiled at him comment about the heels - not wanting to admit out loud that she could barely stand in them and that she had no doubt what so ever that they would be coming off before the night was up.
As Devon touched her cheek she leaned her head into his hand, loving the contact that they could finally have. Zara had her hands on his shoulders as he was speaking but rolled her eyes as he commented about the makeup, "You think I had any choice in the matter? I just did what I was told lest I face the wrath of your mother!" She cringed as Devon wiped the makeup on his pants and took his arm as they began to talk towards the reception, "Speaking of your mother - she's going to kill you for wiping white foundation on your black dress pants." Zara lent over and kisses his cheek, before wiping away the remaining makeup on his chin and smiling at him, "And I'm not protecting you, it's your turn to have to deal with her." Devon's arm was tightly around Zara's waist as they made their way into the party and she knew he wouldn't be letting go of her easily - there was too many people and too much attention on them, not to mention the fact they had barely seen each other for weeks. Everyone seemed to have already taken their seats for the meal and catching Adora's eye, who beckoned them over to the main table, Zara guided Devon the left, avoiding the center of the room. Thankfully, most people were now distracted and talking in their own groups on their tables, so there wasn't too much pressure on Devon and Zara as they took their seats. Adora smiled at Zara as they sat down and squeezed her hand, "Well done, and welcome to the family." Zara laughed nervously but felt an overwhelming sense of fondness and gratitude towards the woman, who obviously knew exactly how the whole preparation and wedding experience must have been for both of them, despite not seeming to at first. Devon was holding Zara's hand beneath the table and even though they were talking with different people only released it when the food appeared on the table. As they began to eat Zara looked over at Devon and smiled, "I love you." They kissed briefly and then continued eating.
By the time the meal was over, Zara was feeling a lot more comfortable and was laughing and talking easily with Alex, Whitney and Devon. The food had been cleared away and people were milling around, visiting other tables and generally relaxing into the atmosphere. Soft music was playing in the background from the harpists in the corner and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Zara noticed Adora making her way over to them as the music stopped and turned as she reached them, "It's time, you two." Zara frowned and glanced at Devon before asking, "Time for what?" Adora looked between them and rolled her eyes, "The first dance - even if this is the only time you do, come on." Zara stood up as Adora ushered them out of their seats and over to the edge of the dance floor, commenting as they reached it, "Oh Devon, don't look so terrified - everyone here is here because they love you... and why on earth do you have foundation on your pants?" Zara blushed bright red and quickly grabbed Devon and led him onto the dance floor, murmuring as her cheeks burned even more as all eyes turned to them, "Just focus on me, I think we can just sway." The music started up again as they came to the center of the dance floor and Zara turned to Devon, pleading with her eyes for him to do something and not just stand there. They started to dance slowly, just swaying from one side to the other, which is all the music really warranted. One of Zara's hands was on Devon's shoulder and he was holding the other, once they had got the hang of it Zara took the time to actually listen to the music, recognising it very suddenly and looking up at Devon, "Listen." She paused to make sure, "It's the song you wrote for me." She moved closer to him, resting her head on his shoulder, wondering if he knew about this or whether he was as surprised as she was.
Several minutes later, Adora and Apollo and several other couples joined them on the dance floor and Zara felt the pressure lift considerably. By the time the third song was being played, the floor was almost full and Zara and Devon were on the edge just enjoying holding each other as they swayed to the gentle music. No one was paying any attention to them anymore and Zara felt more relaxed than ever just by being able to be held close by Devon. Several more minutes past and Zara looked up at him to speak, "Do you want to--" She stopped mid-sentence as movement caught her eye and she glanced over towards the path. What she saw made her stop still, staring at the figure limping its way towards them at the edge of the marque. "Devon..." She whispered, weakly, praying she was wrong as the person came closer to them but knowing she was right. Zara gripped Devon's arm tight and pulled him back a few steps, her whole body turning cold as Fenrir stepped into the marque. His scared face formed into a smirk as he stopped in front of them both, "Well hello, Devon." Zara looked round for Apollo, unsure why at first but then realising he was the only other person at the wedding that knew Fenrir well. He spoke again, to Devon, "I see you married my daughter without inviting me." Zara was shaking and gripping Devon's arm tightly, not wanting him to do anything stupid. Only now did Fenrir look at her, "Don't worry, Zara, I didn't come here to ruin your big day. Is a dance too much to ask?" He gestured from Devon to her with a wave of his hand, "You don't mind, do you, Devon? Seeing as you didn't even ask my permission to marry your new wife and I really could cause quite a scene." Zara watched her father, wondering what he was up to - he always had a plan and no doubt this time was no different. "Please leave." Zara spoke quietly, looking straight at him, but Fenrir only laughed and suddenly reached out and grabbed her arm, "No I don't think I will, come on, Zara, dance with me - for old times sake." Zara paused for a moment, thinking quickly then sent a message to Devon over their connection, "Find the wins and take them into the house, then tell Apollo. I'll be fine I promise. Please, you know he means it when he says he'll make a scene." She turned to Fenrir and let go of Devon, shakily, "Fine." She pushed Fenrir's hand off her arm and looked at Devon, who didn't look like he was going to move, "Devon, please." To Zara's surprise, Fenrir took her arm gently this time and pulled her towards him, still smirking at Devon, "Yes, Devon, run along and go tell Daddy I'm here." When Devon finally left Fenrir took Zara's hands and placed them on his shoulders, "Come on, Zara, I know you know how to dance. Don't make me do all the work." Zara glared at him as they started to sway. They continued for a minute or so as Zara glanced around to try and locate Devon or Apollo but couldn't see either of them from where she was stood, "Why are you here?" She spoke finally, Fenrir didn't answer her and seemed to pause a moment, taking a deep breath before narrowing his eyes at her and suddenly gripping her tight enough for it to be uncomfortable, "Does Devon know you're pregnant again?" Zara stopped moving and looked up at him, her mouth going dry, "Get off me." She tried to move away from him but Fenrir kept her where she was, grinning at her with a glint in his eyes, "Mistake number one, Zara." Fenrir's grip tightened and Zara sent a panicked call for Devon over their connection. She didn't know what Fenrir was about to do or what he was planning and that's what scared her.

| Devon took her arm as they began to talk towards the reception, "Speaking of your mother - she's going to kill you for wiping white foundation on your black dress pants." Zara lent over and kisses his cheek, before wiping away the remaining makeup on his chin and smiling at him, "And I'm not protecting you, it's your turn to have to deal with her." He rolled his eyes. "I don't need your protection from my mother." Devon wrapped his arm tightly around Zara's waist as they made their way into the party. He held her close to him mostly because he missed being near her, but also because of the large group of people all around them. Everyone seemed to have already taken their seats for the meal and catching Adora's eye, who beckoned them over to the main table, Zara guided Devon the left, avoiding the center of the room. To Devon's relief everyone was distracted with conversation so all eyes for the moment weren't centered on him and Zara. Adora smiled at Zara as they sat down and squeezed her hand, "Well done, and welcome to the family." Zara laughed nervously, while Devon grinned and kissed Zara's hand as he listened to his mother speak. Devon watched his mother making her way over to them as the music stopped and turned as she reached them, "It's time, you two." Zara frowned and glanced at Devon before asking he shrugged he was just as confused as she was, "Time for what?" Adora looked between them and rolled her eyes, "The first dance - even if this is the only time you do, come on." Zara stood up, Devon shrank into his seat, he did not want to dance in front of everyone. But a sharp look from his mother had him up on his feet quickly and at Zara's side, as Adora ushered them out of their seats and over to the edge of the dance floor, commenting as they reached it, "Oh Devon, don't look so terrified - everyone here is here because they love you... and why on earth do you have foundation on your pants?" He frowned, "I-I...it just..." As the song drew to a close he said, "Yes, I knew. Was my idea. One of the few things I had a say in."
Several minutes later, Adora and Apollo and several other couples joined them on the dance floor. Devon kept his focus on his wife as he held her close. By the time the third song was being played, the floor was almost full and Zara and Devon were on the edge just enjoying holding each other as they swayed to the gentle music. No one was paying any attention to them anymore and Zara felt more relaxed than ever just by being able to be held close by Devon. Several more minutes past and Zara looked up at him to speak, "Do you want to--" She stopped mid-sentence, he glance at her face seeing her fear rising "Devon..." She whispered, weakly. Devon looked around and instantly saw whay had her so ridged, Fenrir. Zara gripped Devon's arm tight and pulled him back a few steps, her whole body turning cold as Fenrir stepped into the marque. His scared face formed into a smirk as he stopped in front of them both, "Well hello, Devon." Devin scowled, "Fenrir." He spoke again, to Devon, "I see you married my daughter without inviting me." Zara was shaking and gripping Devon's arm tightly, not wanting him to do anything stupid. Only now did Fenrir look at her, "Don't worry, Zara, I didn't come here to ruin your big day. Devon stood his eyes locked with Zara's. He didn't like this at all. But he knew he should get his father. He gave Zara one last look then turned away quickly pushing through the crowd in search of Apollo. Several minutes passed and Devon had no luck finding him. He made his way back to Zara and Fenrir he gently tugged Zara's arm. Fenrir instantly spoke, "No. I'm not finished with her. Get your hands off." Devon swore under his breathe, but let go of Zara. He felt helpless, but he knew Fenrir wouldn't hesitate to snap his neck, he had nearly killed Devon already once before. He was just about to try again but stopped as Apollo stepped into his view.

| Zara watched as the crowd engulfed Devon and waited until he was completely out of site before turning back to look at Fenrir. Her father now had one hand on her waist and the other held hers tightly as he swayed to the melody coming from the enchanted speakers. Although his movements were surprisingly graceful for his size and stature his eyes were fixed directly on hers and Zara met them now as she let him move her to the music. "What do you want?" Zara spoke quietly so as not to draw attention to them - they were still at the edge of the tent and so far it seemed no one else had noticed the unwanted visitor. Fenrir didn't look surprised at her sharp tone and simply smirked and stayed silent for a moment longer than necessary. Zara's patience was waning but she knew if she made a move to get away he would only grip her harder and if she made a scene who knew what he might do. Not knowing if the twins were safely out of the way was the only thing that was forcing Zara to keep her cool so she waited for his response, glaring up at him.
Finally her father seemed to remember that she had asked a question and he sighed, looking around the room, "I simply heard through the grape vine that one of my daughters was marrying the son of an old friend of mine and naturally I thought I should attend. Alas I missed the service and therefore my chance to give you away." He looked back and her and grinned, revealing his rotting, pointed teeth, "I am so disappointed that you didn't invite me of your own accord, Zara, it would have been so nice to hear from you." The sarcasm dripping from his words was making Zara more and more tense, she couldn't tell whether he was angry or simply playing one of his twisted mind games with her. Zara knew asking him or telling him to leave would be futile and she glanced behind her to see if Devon was returning with Apollo yet. As she searched the crowd however Fenrir suddenly yanked her hand so she was forced closer to him, his eyes narrowing as he hissed through his teeth, "What's that?" Zara struggled to free herself from his grip and snapped back in frustration, "What's what?!" Fenrir smirked and bared his teeth, chuckling under his breath before speaking in a low voice, "I can smell it y'know." Zara stared up at him utterly confused but just as she started to question his statement she felt Devon's hand on her arm pulling her gently.
She turned to look at him, praying he had found Apollo, just as Fenrir barked at him that he wasn't finished with her yet. Zara let out a sigh of relief as she glanced over Devon's shoulder and saw Apollo appear out of the crowd and start making his way towards them looking concerned. Before Apollo could say anything however Fenrir turned towards him and Devon, letting go of Zara's waist but moving his hand up to keep a firm grip on her upper arm, holding her close to his side. "Ah, Apollo, I thought you might show up sooner or later." Fenrir's voice was laced with malice as he spoke to Apollo and gestured to Zara as he continued, "My daughter and I were just discussing her little predicament." Zara still had no idea what Fenrir was talking about and she could see her confusion reflected on Apollo and Devon's faces. Apollo finally spoke, "What on earth are you talking about, Greyback? You better have a very good reason for being here, I will not hesitate to use force if I need to, now let go of Zara." Fenrir paused for a moment, looking between Zara and Devon and Apollo and then suddenly burst into laughter, shaking Zara by his grip on her arm before speaking to her, "You haven't told them? They don't know about your little surprise? Oh Zara, what a naughty girl you have been." It suddenly clicked for Zara what her father was talking about and she felt her insides go cold - it wasn't possible surely, Fenrir couldn't know like that, could he? Zara didn't even know for sure. "You don't-- I don't know--" Zara started to speak but Fenrir cut her off as he practically howled with laughed, "Apollo, don't be so dense. She's pregnant! I can smell it's wolf blood already!"

| Devon not being able to touch Zara because of Fenrir’s grip on her was pissing him off more and more by the second, he stood there playing through escape routes to get her away from him. Luckily though her sigh of relief, made him look around and saw his father appear out of the crowd and start making his way towards them looking concerned. Devon smirked, they would be safe shortly. Before Apollo could say anything however Fenrir turned towards him and Devon, letting go of Zara's waist, Devon instantly reached out to grab her away from him, but again Fenrir prevented it by moving his hand up to keep a firm grip on her upper arm, holding her close to his side. Devon glared at Fenrir and clenched his jaw shut to keep himself from saying anything incredibly stupid. "Ah, Apollo, I thought you might show up sooner or later." Fenrir's voice was laced with malice as he spoke to Apollo and gestured to Zara as he continued, "My daughter and I were just discussing her little predicament." Devon raised an eyebrow and glanced at Zara, noting the obvious confusion on her face before looking back at Fenrir. Oh Zara, what a naughty girl you have been.”
Devon stared between Zara and her father, what the hell was he going on about? What had Zara done? He frowned and started to say something but Zara spoke before he could, "You don't-- I don't know--" Zara started to speak but Fenrir cut her off as he practically howled with laughed, "Apollo, don't be so dense. She's pregnant! I can smell it's wolf blood already!" Any color left in Devon’s face instantly drained. His eyes flicked to Apollo, seeing the look of pure fury on his face made him instantly look away. He looked at Zara and shook his head. How the hell could she not have told him. “I…just… how could you not… I thought… I-I… are you?” He stuttered, he knew his words didn’t make sense. Then the sudden pressure of a hand on his shoulder made him nearly jump out of his skin. But Apollo’s voice next to him made him smirk, despite his disappointment in Zara for not saying anything to him about her being pregnant, again. “Fenrir, you are not welcome here and I hardly think it is your business to blurt out that information.” Apollo, squeezed Devon’s shoulder then moved his hand to his pocket and withdrew his wand. He poked Fenrir in his chest and spoke, his voice laced with venom, “Now, let my daughter-in-law go before I end you once and for all Fenrir!” Apollo nearly shouted the words. Anger bubbled inside of him, the last he’d seen Fenrir he had nearly killed Adora. That had been years ago, and here he was again, threatening his family. Seeing his opportunity Devon grabbed Zara and jerked her away from Fenrir and tugged her behind Apollo with him. He didn’t look at her or say anything. He was mad at her, but he wasn’t about to let her be near Fenrir, in any immediate danger. Who knew what her psychopath of a father would do to her.
Devon glanced around when he heard another person approaching, and smiled seeing his mother standing behind him and Zara. She returned the smile then moved beside Apollo, she whispered something to him that Devon didn’t catch, but Apollo immediately lowered his wand. Adora smiled at him and squeezed his arm and turned to Fenrir, “Please if you have any respect for your daughter you will leave here.” Fenrir glanced at her and raised her wand in her direction. Alarmed both Apollo and Devon aimed their wands at Fenrir. Apollo snarled, “Don’t you even dare!” Devon on the other hand muttered, “Expelliarmus.” Sending Fenrir’s wand from his hand, Devon grabbed it and moved back behind Apollo. Smirking at Fenrir who looked shocked that Devon had gotten his wand from him. Apollo stepped closer to Fenrir, “Get off my property Greyback!” Fenrir glanced at Zara and growled, “This isn’t over Zara Isola.” He turned and stalked off into the crowd and disappeared. Devon let go of Zara and walked away from her leaving her there with his parents. He didn’t care what they said to her at this point about her pregnancy. He should have been the first to know, how could she have kept it from him.
Devon didn’t stop until he reached the tree house. He sat down at the base of the trunk and watched the party he was supposed to be enjoying with Zara, celebrating their marriage but no; that was ruined. He crossed his arms over his chest and watched as their family and friends continued dancing, laughing and celebrating as if nothing had just happened with Zara’s father. How had no one heard all that commotion over the music? Hadn’t their shouting been loud enough to hear? Devon watched as Zara made her way through the group of people and out to where he was. He couldn’t keep the smile off his face as she made her way towards him, clearly picking her path carefully so not to trip or ruin her dress. Once she was standing in front of him he looked up at her and said, “Why didn’t you tell me? Is this why you’ve been so sick lately?” He stood and took her hands in his and kissed each one. Devon looked into her eyes and spoke softly, “We are supposed to share everything with each other Zara, especially now that we’re married. How long have you known?” He let go of her hands and moved his hands to her stomach, pulling his gaze from her as his mind wandered off to the pregnancy with the twins. Would this one be just as strange? Would it go as quickly? Would she need the potion again? How many this time? Would it be a werewolf like Kora and Zara? Or animagus like him and Ryan? So many questions flashed across his mind at once that he didn’t even realize Zara had been speaking until she touched his arm. He looked up, “What? Sorry… I was… thinking.” He smiled, “What were you saying?”

| Her father's words turned Zara's blood to ice as she stared at him. The announcement was as much news to her as it was to Devon and Apollo seeing as she had convinced herself that the muggle pregnancy test had been a false positive. As she looked at Devon now however she could see the hurt and disappointment in his eyes and it made her want to crawl up into a ball and cry. Did he really think that she would have kept news like this from him if she had known for sure? Even if she had thought the matter was a cause for concern when was she supposed to have broken this news to him? They hadn't been alone all day, in fact they'd barely been together for most of the morning. It was their wedding for crying out loud, this wasn't what Zara had ever imagined happening. However, no matter how much she disliked the look on Devon's face, the look on Apollo's face was much worse. It looked as if Fenrir's words had hit him like a ton of bricks and the anger that was burning in his eyes made Zara want to shrink away from the whole situation. Maybe she should just make a run for it now while she still could.
Zara looks at the floor as Devon tried to speak to her, she couldn't bring herself to look at him - this was all her fault, she'd ruined their day and she was pregnant, what were they supposed to do now? She only looked up when she heard Apollo speak and watched as he raised his wand. Her father still had a firm grip on her arm and she didn't feel it loosen even when Apollo threatened him. However, when Apollo told Fenrir to release her, her father laughed out loud and this seemed to be enough. Zara quickly pulled her arm out of his slackened hold just as Devon grabbed her and pulled her behind him. Stumbling slightly over the folds of her dress Zara kept well behind Devon, wanting desperately to take his hand but too scared of being rejected. Before anything else could unfold though Zara heard someone approach behind her. Turning, she saw Adora, calmly walking to Apollo's side and reaching up to whisper in his ear. Zara's heightened senses meant she could pick up the soft words, "Apollo. Not here. Not now. There are too many people and the twins are not far away, you know he will kill them if he gets a chance." Zara's panic increased as she realised Adora was right but thankfully Apollo instantly lowered his wand and Fenrir appeared to relax somewhat.
Zara looked away for a second into the crowd, wanting to make sure that Whitney wasn't about to approach with the twins to see what was going on. Before she could have a proper look however Devon was yelling and Zara jumped at the sudden loud noise. It appeared that Fenrir had aimed his wand at Adora in the split second that Zara had turned away, however now Devon held it triumphantly in his hand. It didn't take long for Fenrir to realise he was outnumbered but before he turned to go he spoke directly to Zara, his words sending chills down her spine. Somehow she just knew that this wouldn't be the last time she saw him, he would come for the baby sooner or later after it was born, or worse - before.
The four of them watched as Fenrir disappeared into the night but Devon didn't stick around for long. The moment Fenrir was out of sight he walked away towards the forest. Zara watched him go with a tight knot in her stomach, she could feel Apollo and Adora's eyes on her face but didn't dare turn to meet their gaze. "I'm going to go talk to him." Her voice was barely above a whisper but Adora nodded and rested a hand briefly on her shoulder and saying, "We'll talk to you both later on." Her voice wasn't angry or upset, it was calm and firm as it ever was and right at that moment Zara felt a flood of affection for the woman. Adora took Apollo's hand and led him away as Zara followed Devon in the direction he had gone. She lifted her dress slightly so it wouldn't drag along the floor as she made her way over the grass and towards the tree that Devon was sitting against. She reached him, expecting to have to coax him into talking to her but to her surprise Devon spoke immediately. She didn't say anything as he asked her questions, wanting to let him get everything out of his system before she explained what had happened. Devon had stood while he spoke and now he moved his hand to her stomach, Zara smiled as he went quiet and decided it was time to explain. "Devon, you know I tell you everything. Especially something as important as this. I didn't know... I suspected but I thought I was being paranoid, I didn't want to ruin our day by telling you of my worries if there wasn't any truth to them. And I didn't think there was. I was convinced that nothing was wrong." She noticed that he wasn't paying any attention to what she was saying so she paused, waiting for him to realise she had been talking.
Zara smiled as he came to his senses and repeated herself more slowly and calmly, "I didn't know. I took a muggle pregnancy test yesterday but I didn't think it worked. Of course I would have told you but I didn't think there was anything to tell you." Zara placed her hand on his cheek and lent forward to kiss him gently on the lips, "How could you ever think that I would keep something like this from you?" She paused and looked down at the ground, her hand dropping from his cheek as the full weight of their situation hit her. Zara closed her eyes and sighed, "Of course the problem is now - how on earth are we going to have another baby? We don't even live in our own house. Your dad is going to kill us and we have our hands full enough with the twins." The whole situation suddenly seemed very hopeless and Zara looked away towards the party where people were singing and dancing with no clue as to what she and Devon were going through right now.

| Devon kept his hands on her stomach a she slowly and calmly repeated herself, "I didn't know. Your dad is going to kill us and we have our hands full enough with the twins." Devon instantly sensing her worry wrapped his arms around her and pulled her into a tight hug.
He kissed her forehead and whispered, “It’s okay, we will figure it out, we always do.” He stood there holding her to him for a long time before he finally pulled away slightly, his hands on her hips. “Come on, let’s get back to our party. We still have a dance to finish together since we were interrupted.” He let go of her waist with one hand and pulled her to his side, keeping one arm tightly around her as he reached across with his other hand and gently lifted up her dress off the ground and then without even giving her a warning hooked his arm around her legs and pulled her up against his chest. He smirked at the look she gave him. Without hesitation he said, “Do you want to ruin your dress?” He winked at her and started back towards the party.
He walked silently picking his path carefully. As soon as they reached the stone path he gently set Zara on her feet, steading her until she had her balance. He laced his fingers with hers and led her back up the path into the crowd onto the dance floor; their reentrance seemed to go unnoticed by their guests. He pulled her into his arms, holding her closer to him and placed one hand gently on her stomach and repeated his earlier comment through their connection, ”We will figure this out Zara. Don’t worry.” He met her gaze and smiled, “Let’s just enjoy the rest of the night.” He kept his focus on her, allowing everything around them to melt away until it was only them moving in time with the music around the floor.
The music stopped suddenly causing Devon to look around; he half expected to see Fenrir back but relaxed when he saw his mother rushing over to them. As soon as she reached them she smiled at Zara then at him, “Cake time you two. Come on.” She grabbed Zara’s hand and tugged her towards the front of the crowd, Devon having been holding her hand was forced to follow. His anxiety growing as he noticed more and more people turning their attention to him and Zara again. Adora ushered them to a table where a ridiculously large cake sat on a table. It like everything else was themed perfectly. Devon resisted rolling his eyes at the amount of perfection his mother had put into this day. His mother rushed off to stand beside Apollo, who wrapped his arms around her and kissed the side of her head. He seemed to be cautiously looking around the property. Devon knew he was still on high alert for Fenrir. He looked around uneasily then back at Apollo who met Devon’s gaze and smiled reassuringly. Devon half smiled then looked over at Zara.
He kept his focus on her; she seemed to be the only person he could look at right now without feeling extremely nervous. He placed his hand over hers and helped her cut into the cake. They placed a piece on a plate. He looked at Zara waiting for her to make the next move when she didn’t he smirked and reached down and put his finger in the frosting of the piece they’d cut off. He grinned mischievously and nodded as she protested against his plan, knowing she saw it flash across his mind. He reached up and smeared the frosting on her nose, lips and chin. He laughed at her expression and bit his bottom lip watching her as she glared at him. He leaned forward and kissed her, flicking his tongue across her bottom lip removing some of the frosting. He pulled away and whispered, “Now what baby?” His tone teasing as he nipped her bottom lip playfully not really caring that everyone was watching them. He was caught in this moment with her, he’d drowned everyone else out again.

| As Devon released her from the embrace Zara sighed, she knew that they would have to return to the party now and pretend like nothing was wrong . In reality however they were expecting another child, her father had just appeared to threaten her and her unborn baby and they were both undoubtedly going to have to face the wrath of Apollo when the celebrations were over. Zara closed her eyes at the thought as Devon wrapped an arm around her, but before she could dwell on it any longer she felt her legs pulled from beneath her and gasped as Devon swept her off her feet and into his arms. Zara glared at him as he chuckled but didn't struggle to be put down - he was right, she didn't want to ruin her dress and anyway it felt good to be held by him.
Devon picked his way carefully back along the path with Zara's arms around his neck. She watched the people in the marque just ahead of them, dancing and enjoying themselves with obviously no clue as to what had just been happening. She hadn't realised they had reached the stone path until Devon set her back on her feet. She managed to give him a nervous smile before he led her back into the marque and onto the dance floor. Thankfully no one appeared to have noticed they had been gone nor indeed that they were now back. Zara relaxed a little and settled into the sway of the music as she and Devon began to dance. She closed her eyes and rested her head against his shoulder so that she wouldn't have to catch any of the guests eyes and make small talk. To her relief it seemed that everyone was going to leave them be and for a few perfect minutes it was as if no one else existed and it was just she and Devon dancing alone to the music.
It was only a few minutes of perfection that Zara managed to snatch however before the music suddenly halted and everyone on the dance floor paused to look around for a reason. Zara spotted Adora hurrying towards them with a beaming grin on her face, Zara tried to smile back at her and appear as excited as Adora obviously was but she was still very on edge and really just wanted to be left alone. It didn't look like she had much choice in the matter however because Adora had already grabbed her hand and was dragging her towards a table upon which lay a massive four tier. Zara bit her lip and held on tight to Devon's hand so that he wouldn't manage to sneak off and hide somewhere, which she knew he would want to greatly at this rate. By the time they were stood behind the table with the cake in front of them nearly everyone's eyes were on them and Zara gripped Devon's hand tighter even though she knew he wasn't going to be much help to her at the moment.
There only seemed to be one thing they could really do, the one thing that everyone was expecting of them. Zara picked up the cake knife and waited for Devon to place his hand over hers. Carefully and without looking at anyone the two of them cut a slice of cake and placed it on a white plate. Zara's stomach rumbled slightly at the sight of the freshly cut cake and she was busy wondering when she would be able to eat some when Devon scooped off a finger full of frosting. Zara looked up at him, confused but as she saw the glint in his eye realised what he was doing. She barely had time to move away or stammer out "No" before Devon had smeared the frosting over her nose and lips. Zara stood quite stunned at what had just happened until Devon leaned forward and kissed her, removing the frosting from her lips with his tongue. Zara could feel heat creeping up her cheeks knowing that everyone was watching this intimate moment between them. Despite her embarrassment Zara couldn't help but smirk at his teasing tone as he bit her lip but thankfully before Devon could say anything more Adora approached them and cleared her throat. Zara sprang away from Devon and bit her lip as Adora turned to the crowd of guests, "Please, everyone help themselves to cake and I think I speak for both Devon and Zara when I say thank you all for being here today to celebrate this union." The crowd clapped and Zara forced herself to smile at them, while holding tight to Devon's hand. The guests dispersed, some coming for a slice of cake and some heading back t the dance floor. Zara managed to steal a slice before they all got taken and she hurried away from the commotion to an empty table to eat it. Somehow when she had made her bid for cake she had lost sight of Devon and now sitting at the table she kept her eye out for him but was far too hungry to worry about his whereabouts too much.
She was still spooning frosting into her mouth when Hayden passed with a sleeping Kora in her arms. Zara called over to her and carefully took Kora from her, "You should go and dance, thank you for taking such good care of them." Hayden smiled and explained that Ryan was with Whitney before hurrying off to join her friends on the dance floor. Zara cradled Kora in her arms, suddenly back to the perfect feeling that she and the little baby in her arms were the only people in the room. Kora had no worries or regrets yet, she was so innocent and Zara stroked her hair gently, hoping that as a parent she would always be able to protect her daughter from all the hardships of life. Zara only pulled herself away from staring at Kora's face to take another spoonful of cake and glance around the room once more for Devon. She assumed he was probably talking to Alex or his father so she tried not to worry and anyway she had quite enough to occupy her with Kora sleeping in her arms.

| Devon was about to pull Zara closer to him, having totally forgotten the crowd watching them, but to his dismay his mother approached them and cleared her throat. Zara sprang away from Devon, he frowned, slightly annoyed he’d had to move away from Zara yet again. He watched as she bit her lip as Adora turned to the crowd of guests, "Please, everyone help themselves to cake and I think I speak for both Devon and Zara when I say thank you all for being here today to celebrate this union." The crowd clapped and Zara forced herself to smile at them, while holding tight to Devon's hand. Devon didn’t bother forcing a smile; he didn’t even look away from Zara towards the crowd. The guests dispersed, some coming for a slice of cake and some heading back to the dance floor. Just as Devon was about to grab cake for himself, Alex appeared and tugged him away from Zara just as she managed to steal a slice before they all got taken and she hurried away from the commotion to an empty table to eat it.
Alex apparently wanted him to meet his date; she was a sixth year Gryffindor. Devon was glad he’d found someone but he really just wanted to be near Zara right now. Not making small talk with the girl Alex fancied. Devon swore he saw her stash a few random items into her bag, but chose not to say anything about it. It wasn’t like anyone would notice, whatever she’d taken missing. Devon smiled at Alex, “I’m going to go find Zara now.” He glanced at the girl, “It was nice meeting you Thea.” He turned away and started walking away from his best friend.
After a bit of crowd scanning Devon located Zara sitting by herself with Kora in her arms. He smiled and looked around for his sister so he could take Ryan from her. When he located her he gently took Ryan from her arms without a word and made his way over to where Zara and Kora sat. He carefully, so not to jostle Ryan in his arms sat down next to Zara, he leaned over and kissed her cheek. “Hey sweetheart, are you alright? You look upset.” He asked as he reached up with his hand to tuck a strand of her hair behind her ear that must have fallen loose from her up-do. He knew Fenrir was on her mind, he was on his too. They had been through so much already because of her father. Devon feared for the safety of the twins and now the new baby. He let his hand that had just tucked her hair away rest on her cheek as he spoke again, “We will figure all of this out Zara. I won’t let him hurt our family, I promise.” He offered her a smile as he leaned closer and kissed her lips lightly. He fell silent after that, not wanting to force her to talk if she didn’t want to. He moved his chair closer to hers so that their legs and shoulders touched while they say silently with the twins in their arms. Ryan had fallen asleep and was snoring softly against Devon’s chest. He looked out towards the crowd grateful to see that his parents were slowly bidding guests farewell, which meant that this whole ordeal was almost over. Devon was happy to be married to Zara now, but he couldn’t wait for the day to be over with. He didn’t like being the center of attention, and he had been along with Zara all day. His nerves were shot and his anxiety was through the roof. He wanted some peace and quiet alone with Zara away from everyone to really enjoy their new relationship status, whatever that held for them.
Devon found himself wondering where his parents would be shipping them off to for their honeymoon. His mother had been pretty hush-hush about it, and would just grin at him whenever he asked during all the wedding preparations. Knowing his mother, it was something over the top, just like the wedding had been. As the last few guests wandered off to leave the property Apollo made his way over to where Devon and Zara sat. He didn’t say anything; he just stood there with a disapproving look on his face, his arms crossed over his chest. Adora soon joined him and placed her arm gently on his and whispered to him. Apollo relaxed a bit but still looked intensely at Devon. It was his mother who spoke first, “You two have gotten yourselves into a lot of trouble with this new pregnancy. You’re still babies. We—, “Apollo cut her off, “How could you be such an idiot Devon? Didn’t you learn your lesson the first time? Do I need to curse your genitals to keep you from getting her pregnant over and over? You are being irresponsible. Neither of you have jobs; you are barely out of school. How do either of you expect to support a family?” Adora squeezed his arm and looked at him sternly, “What your father means sweetheart is that you two really need to figure out what you are going to do now. You are married with children, it’s not easy growing up and you are doing it so quickly. Slow down and enjoy yourselves.” Devon looked down at Ryan in his arms; he didn’t know what to say. It wasn’t like they planned on having a third child, let alone the first two. But Devon loved the twins, Zara and this new baby – even though he hadn’t met it yet – and would do anything to figure out a way to support them even if it meant they would have to work extra hard to make ends meet.
Adora suddenly smiled at them and spoke again, “Now my loves, it’s time we got you two off for your honeymoon. But first why don’t you go change clothes and pack your bags. I’ll get the little ones ready for bed so that you two can get them into their cribs before parting.” She stepped forward and stood beside Zara. Devon looked over at her; she looked very unwilling to let Kora go so he spoke. “Mum might we just take them into the house and get them ready for bed ourselves? We haven’t had much time with them today and we both really would like to get them ready ourselves.” Adora nodded, “Of course love. Go on then.” She turned and grabbed Apollo’s arm and pulled him away. Devon stood up and waited for Zara to stand too before leading the way back up to the house.
As soon as they reached the porch Devon pulled the door open and let Zara go inside first. He then led her upstairs into his room. He pulled a blanket off his bed and placed it on the floor. He knelt down and placed Ryan on to it. He knew Zara would want some time with them so he said, “I’m going to go grab something for you to change into.” He didn’t wait for her to answer and hurried off down the stairs to the other end of the house and made his way up to where Zara had been staying. He pulled his wand from his pocket and sent all of her belongings into her school trunk. Once it was latched shut he charmed it to move on its own and headed back to his room. As he stepped in he smiled at Zara as she sat on the floor with the twins – they were both all ready for bed - her dress fanned out all around her. He sent her trunk into an empty corner and sat down next to her. He reached down and brushed his fingers across Ryan’s face, “Lets get them to bed.” He gently picked up Ryan and offered Zara his hand, he pulled her to her feet and lead the way into the twins room. He set Ryan into the crib and pulled the blanket over him and his sister once Zara had laid Kora next to him. Devon grabbed the baby monitor off the dresser, then thread his fingers with Zara’s and pulled her back to his room, pushing the door shut behind him and setting the monitor down on his desk. He stood in front of Zara and spoke softly, “Ready to get out of that dress?” He moved behind her and very slowly unzipped it. He then shrugged out of his jacket and hung it on a chair. He stood in front of her and helped her step out of the dress. He laid it carefully on top of his jacket then pulled off his tie, and unbuttoned his shirt. He wanted to crawl into bed with her but he knew they’d be leaving shortly and wouldn’t have time to do anything so he pulled on a tee-shirt and then put on a pair of jeans. Once Zara was dressed he took her hand and pulled her back into the twins room, “Stay with them, I’ll pack everything we need.” He returned to his room and used his wand to send things from her trunk into a suit case, then filled a second with his own stuff. Once finished he sent both suit cases down the stairs to the entry way.
He then joined Zara in the twins room and wrapped his arms around her, resting his hands on her stomach. Devon lightly kissed her neck, not to start anything, more of just to be affectionate. Besides, Adora walked in before he could even think to do anything more intimate. “You two ready to go?” Devon nodded without moving from behind Zara. “Alright, there’s a portkey sitting on top of your suit cases downstairs. When you get there, you’ll find a note for you in the kitchen.” Devon raised an eyebrow but didn’t ask. He instead moved around Zara and kissed both the sleeping babies on the forehead then moved to the doorway, waiting for Zara. As soon as she was at his side, he lead her down stairs. Once both of them had hold of one of the suit cases he spoke, “On three love…” He kissed her then said, “One, two….three.” The grabbed the portkey and it yanked them from the manor. He closed his eyes, he hated traveling by portkey. As soon as he felt his feet touch ground he opened them and smiled, realizing where they were. He looked over at Zara and said, “This is the summer home I told you about.” He charmed the suitcases to follow them and without warning her, lifted her off the ground. At her protest he said, “Hush, we’ve done everything else backwards. I’m doing this right.” He carried her up the porch steps and into the house. Once they were inside he kissed her deeply for quite a long time before finally setting her on her feet.
Devon made his way into the kitchen and picked up the note his mother had mentioned. He read it out loud.
Devon & Zara,
Welcome home loves! While you two stay here for your honeymoon I would like for you to rearrange, repaint and redecorate the entire summer house to your likeling. Your father and I are giving you this house to live in. Once you are ready to end your honeymoon please send us an owl and we will bring the twins and their things to you. Enjoy yourselves! We love you! Welcome to the family Zara dear!
He smiled, he had always wanted to change this house up, and it would be really fun to do that with Zara. “So, what would you like to do first? Are you hungry? Do you want a tour? Did you want to just go straight to bed?” He asked as he wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her cheek.

| It wasn't long before Devon found her at her secluded table, Zara looked up at him as he sat down and smiled as she realised he held a sleeping Ryan in his arms. She treasured moments like these when it was just their little family all together. As much as she appreciated how much Devon's parents had done for them Zara couldn't help but wish they could leave and start their life independently. Zara had never really had the big family life with her father being the way he was and she had felt for a long time that she would happily make her way in the world by herself as soon as she could. Therefore, suddenly living with Devon's parents and sisters, being told what to do and where to go all the time, not even being able to sleep in the same bed as the father of her children... well, it had been difficult for her to say the least. It wasn’t as if Zara had the audacity to ever stand up to Adora and Apollo or even say much about her feelings to Devon - she always reminded herself how grateful she had to be. However the point still stood that Zara was more than ready to leave this house. Devon seemed to have noticed her mood but assumed it was regarding Fenrir, which was only partly true but Zara didn't elaborate. She simply smiled as he kissed her and then went back to stroking Kora's cheek gently. Fenrir's threat was all the more reason to leave the Avery manor - he knew they were here now with the twins and in Zara's eyes it would be foolish to stay where they could be found. Maybe she would bring up that point with Devon in a day or two. She daydreamed briefly of going somewhere far away with Devon and the twins, somewhere where Fenrir could never find them and where (hopefully) Adora wouldn't be able to interfere.
Of course their quiet time together didn't last long and as Zara heard someone approaching she looked up to see Apollo with a sour look on his face and his arms crossed. It took a lot for Zara not to roll her eyes - she really didn't need another rant about her getting pregnant, it wasn't like they had meant for it to happen. Adora wasn't long behind Apollo and as she joined him Zara's enhanced senses picked up her whispered plea in her husband's ear, "Please don't shout, that isn't the way to handle this." Zara looked back down at Kora and barely listened to what Devon's parents were saying, she didn't want to look rude but at the same time she was worried that her temper would get the better of her if she listened to the same tired rant one more time. Her attention was only brought back to the conversation when Devon spoke, asking if they might put the twins to bed before they leave. For a moment Zara was confused, having not listened to anything Adora had said, and she held Kora a little closer. Where were they going? And why were they leaving the twins? Zara let Devon lead her back towards the house and was about to ask what was going on when a thought struck her. The honeymoon. She had completely forgotten that they were even a thing and had just assumed that she and Devon would be skipping that part out. Her mood improved slightly at the thought of finally getting some alone time with Devon somewhere far away. She wished the twins could come but at the same time she knew that a little time just she and her husband would do them a great deal of good. It helped as well that, despite all her qualms with Apollo and Adora, she knew the twins would be safe with them no matter what.
They reached the twins room and as Devon laid Ryan on a blanket on the floor he mentioned he was going to fetch her things. Zara smiled slightly as he left, knowing exactly what he was doing and thankful for it. She knelt down besides Ryan and placed his sister beside him, speaking softly to each of them, "Now, my darlings, mummy and daddy are going away for a little while but we will be back with you before you know it. We love you so much." Zara carefully began to undress them as she spoke, grabbing their sleeping clothes from the drawers as she did so. "Everything is going to be just fine." She kissed both their bellies, which made Kora giggle and Ryan reach up for her. Zara gently pulled on their rompers and buttoned them up, smiling as Kora caught her hand and pulled it up to her mouth. Devon returned and they put the twins carefully into the crib, kissing them both before going through to the next room to get ready.
Zara hadn't realised quite how uncomfortable her dress was until she was out of it and in her old, comfy jeans and light, black top. For one it just felt good to be back in colours that were more her style. Once they were dressed Zara went back to check on the twins while Devon packed up some more of their things. It wasn't long before Devon joined her and she smiled as he wrapped his arms around her waist. Kora had already fallen asleep, obviously exhausted from the day's events, however Ryan was still awake and looking up at them intently as they watched over him. They stayed like that for a few minutes before Adora appeared. Zara said her goodbyes to the twins then followed Devon down the stairs to where their suitcases were waiting for them, the portkey sitting on top. Zara was surprised to find herself slightly nervous, probably because she still didn't know where they would be spending the next week or so. Devon kissed her one last time and then on the count of three they both grabbed the portkey. Zara's breath caught as she felt herself being yanked forward and away from the Avery manor.
She opened her eyes, not having meant to close them, when her feet landed on solid ground. Before her stood a beautifully ornate little house, with a decked veranda and white washed walls. She had already guessed that this was his family's summer house when Devon confirmed her suspicions. She was still taking it all in when Devon suddenly swept her off her feet and into his arms, "What are you doing?" She exclaimed loudly but Devon was quick to silence her protests and she settled for simply scowling at him as he carried her towards the house. Zara soon forgot her annoyance though as Devon stepped through the doorway. The interior of the house was almost as beautiful as the exterior, with polished wooden floors and granite worktops. Devon set her down and went off into the kitchen as Zara wandered around taking in the fresh flowers and crystal chandelier in the hallway. As Devon began to read out his parent's note Zara made her way into the kitchen where he was and stopped beside him as he read out the part about this being all theirs. Zara was pretty sure that if she had allowed it to her mouth would have dropped open - it was everything she could ever have wanted and now his parents had given it to them. She was still in a state of shock when Devon pulled her to him and kissed her cheek, asking what she would like to do now.
For a moment Zara stood, a little overwhelmed and then looked at Devon realising they were alone, finally, for the first time in months. There was only really one thing she wanted to do. Zara pressed her lips against Devon's, kissing him deeply and breathing him in as she wrapped her arms around him. His smell was suddenly the most intoxicating thing she could imagine and her kisses traveled from his lips, along his jaw line, to his ear lobe and then down his neck. It felt like they hadn't had an opportunity to be this intimate in ages and Zara wasn't about to let the opportunity slip away.

| Devon stood watching Zara with his arms still positioned around her waist; he knew the house much like the manor was pretty overwhelming and far more than she was used to. He did hope that she would get used to being part of his family, she’d have to learn to deal with the wealth his family had. It was an advantage of being one of the remaining pureblooded families in the wizarding world, granted with Zara part of the family now; it tainted the line a bit. But he knew neither of his parents had any issues with Zara being a werewolf. Hell, little Kora was too and his parents couldn’t get enough of her and her brother Ryan. He was pulled from his thoughts as Zara’s lips met his, her kiss was deep. He pulled her closer responding with an equal amount of eagerness. As her lips moved from his to his jaw line and down his neck he got a pretty good idea of where this was headed. He knew what she wanted; they were finally alone without having to worry about someone interrupting them for the first time in a very long time. He shifted his hands to hook around her thighs, carefully lifting her off of the floor. He turned around so that he could set her on the countertop.
He pulled his wand from his pocket as he looked up at her and smiled. “Wait here, I’ll be back.” He ignored her protest and kissed her lips briefly and left the kitchen. Devon hurried over to the back patio door; he locked it quickly, then made his way to the front door. He stepped outside pulling the door shut behind him and started making his way around the entire perimeter of the property putting up protection charms and cloaking spells. He wanted to make sure no one could interrupt their time together, not just so they could fool around but he truly wanted Zara to feel like she could relax. He knew she hadn’t been able to since the beginning of seventh year when they’d met up in the shrieking shack. As Devon came back to the front of the house he made his way back inside, locking the front door behind him. He made his way back to the kitchen and smiled at Zara as she stared at him. Before she could say anything he placed his wand down on the counter, then placed his arms around her waist again. He lifted her back off the countertop and set her gently down on the floor. He kept his arms around her and spoke softly, “No one, can interrupt us now.” He leaned in and kissed her deeply. He knew she wanted to go beyond kissing but he had no intention to let their first intimate moments as a married couple, happen in the kitchen. It was far from romantic, he wanted it to mean something, it had to be special. Granted all their times together were meaningful and special, but this time had to be above and beyond their normal romps.
Devon pulled away from the kiss, and laced his fingers with hers. “We aren’t doing this in the kitchen.” He lead her out of the kitchen towards the staircase. As they made their way up he pointed to the pictures of him, his siblings and parents on the wall. Many of them were your usual wizard photos capturing a few seconds of a memory. But some were still, “Mom had an old muggle camera. She always insisted we blend our wizard life with muggle technology and methods. She’s a big part of why I know as much as I do about muggle things.” He led her further up the stairs, intending to take her into what had always been his room. As he pushed open the door he laughed. The room had been packed up into boxes; the room’s walls mirrored the colors in his room back at the manor. “Well, this was my room.” Curious he pushed the door opposite of his open, as he expected it was boxed up, the walls in this room were purple. “Hayden’s,” He mumbled as he pushed the third door open, to no surprise, boxes again, the walls were white with pale green accents. “Whitney’s,” he informed. He stopped facing a staircase leading upwards. He was hesitant to venture up to a room he always got yelled at to stay out of as a child, his parent’s room. But if his room and his sisters were all boxed up, surely they were supposed to go upstairs right? Devon looked nervously over at Zara, “I guess we go up to my parents room…” He tightened his grip on her hand and led her up the stairs.
He opened the door to find that the entire room was different than he remembered. His parents had replaced all the furniture with brand new items. He sighed with relief as he lead her over to the bed. He motioned for her to sit down, “Wait here?” He knew she’d have rather had him sit with her and continue kissing, letting things lead where they led. But he had other plans in mind. He moved into the master bathroom and shut the door behind him. He reached for his wand and cursed under his breath. It was downstairs. “Muggle way it is.” He mumbled as he moved over to the oversized tub and turned on the tap, adjusting the temperature until it was perfectly balanced. He glanced around the bathroom biting his lower lip, pleased to find a vase with roses in it he pulled the flowers from it and quickly plucked the petals off of a few of them. He dropped the stems into the trash bin and placed the remaining roses back in the vase. He scattered the petals everywhere. He needed candles but there weren’t any. “Accio wand,” he whispered. He opened the door a crack just in time to catch his wand; before Zara could see inside or say anything to him he shut the door again. He conjured some candles; he lit them as he placed them around the room. He flipped the lights off and looked around, satisfied with his handiwork he switched off the tap, then opened the door just enough to squeeze out of it, shutting it behind him.
Devon leaned back against the door and smiled at Zara where she sat on the bed. Automatically he bit his bottom lip as he moved closer to her. Without a word he knelt in front of her lifting her foot and pulling off her shoe, he repeated this with her other shoe. He then moved to her pants, carefully unbuttoning them, as he pulled the zipper down, he said, “Stand up please.” Once she was standing he tugged her pants down to her ankles and lifted each of her feet to pull them out of the leg holes. He slowly folded the pants and placed them on a chair that was next to him. He stood slowly; lightly trailing his fingers up her legs, as his fingers reached her thighs he pressed his lips gently to her left thigh just centimeters from her panty line. He brushed his fingers across her underwear, and then moved his hands up to her stomach, under her shirt. He lifted the material up and gently tugged it over her head. He carefully folded her shirt and placed it with her pants. He turned back to her placing his hands on her waist, slowly moved them up her back to the clasp of her bra. He unhooked it and pulled the straps off her arms slowly. Once again he carefully, slowly folded the article of clothing and placed it on the pile. He now looked at Zara, meeting her eyes. He smiled at her as he pulled his button up off, folded it carefully, placing it on the pile. He repeated this process with his t-shirt. He then knelt down and took off his shoes and socks. He stood back up meeting her eyes again as he unbuttoned his pants. He didn’t pull them off just yet though; he closed the space between himself and Zara. He pulled her into a deep, passionate kiss, letting his fingers twist into her hair as he pressed against her as close as he could. He moved one hand from her hair slowly down her back then around to her stomach, it traveled further south, resting outside her panties he lightly brushed against her as he kissed her deeper. He pulled away from her lips kissing down her jaw, neck and shoulder blade. He moved his hands away from her and pulled his pants off, folding them with the same slow movements from before with the other clothing.
Standing before her in nothing but his boxers, and her in her panties he smirked at her as he moved closer to her again and gently pushed her back onto the bed. He leaned down and kissed her lips, her neck, her chest, stomach, and then he placed his hands on her hips, hooking his fingers around her panty line as he gently tugged them down. He again folded them slowly and placed them on the chair, following with his boxers. He moved back to her and planted a deliberate kiss between her thighs before standing and pulling her up with him. He took her hands in his and backed up slowly leading her to the bathroom door. When his back hit the door he dropped one of her hands so he could turn the knob, he pushed the door open and took her hand in his again, leading her into the bathroom. He dropped both of her hands and pushed the door shut again. He took her hand again and helped her step into the tub, joining her a moment later. He pulled her into his lap so she was facing him. He moved his hand to her thigh and slowly moved between her thighs, he gently pushed his fingers inside her as he kissed her. After a moment he broke from the kiss, leaving his fingers to their work inside of her he spoke, “Surely this is better than the kitchen.” He smirked at her, knowing he has spent the last hour or so teasing the living hell out of her, he could feel how worked up she was not just through their connection but also from his fingers within her. “We have all night to do anything you want love. I just wanted it to be different than our normal thing. Something we haven’t experienced.” He kissed her neck softly, “I love you.”

| There was something magical about being so intimate with Devon after having been apart for so long. It wasn't even the promise of sex which made it so but just the closeness which Zara had missed so much during the time they had been kept apart in preparation for the wedding. Being close to him now was the best wedding present Zara could have asked for; the spells she had watched Devon cast around the house from her seat in the kitchen meant she could fully relax for the first time in a long time; and finally Zara knew the twins were safe and in good hands. All her worries and responsibilities were taken care of and it gave Zara a light, weightless feeling which she didn't really recognise, and it made her strain to think of something she should be worrying about. Before she could concern herself with the alien feeling of relaxation however Devon focused her attention on something else. She was sat on the bed he had led her to and watching him intently, fully expecting their intimacy to continue here but instead Devon disappeared into the bathroom. Zara frowned at the door, knowing Devon would feel her annoyance either through the connection or through the hole in the door she would create with her fire gaze if he kept her waiting much longer.
Despite her annoyance Zara was only half concentrating on what Devon might be doing in the bathroom, the other part of her attention was enjoying the warm, tight tension in the lower part of her body from the anticipation of what was about to happen. When was the last time they had had sex? It felt like an age had gone by. Zara absentmindedly drew her hand across her belly - there was no sign of the pregnancy yet but the knowledge that there was a life growing inside her made her wonder if the foetus knew her hand was there. Once again Devon pulled her attention away as he re-entered the room, not allowing her to see inside the bathroom or at what he had been up to in there. She watched him intently as he looked at her and made his way over. The glimmer of a smile touched her face as Devon began to remove her clothes. The excitement building up inside her was almost too much to bear and she wanted to wiggle where she sat and kiss him ravenously. She refrained. Zara stood when asked to stand and without a word allowed Devon to continue removing her clothes until she was standing in nothing but her panties. Without her bra Zara suddenly felt a little self-conscious and was tempted to move her arms up to cover her exposed breasts. It wasn't often that Zara became shy about her body in front of Devon, especially not after all they'd been through together. However, it had been a while since he had seen her completely naked and it struck her that maybe she wasn't like he remembered.
Before she could act to cover herself though Devon had pulled her into a deep kiss and all her nervousness seemed to melt away in the arms of her husband. Zara kissed him back fiercely until Devon pulled away and pushed her back onto the bed. She couldn't help but grin happily to herself as Devon began showering her body with kisses. It felt ridiculously good to have skin-on-skin contact with him again and the anticipation was making her a little giddy. Before she knew it remaining items (her panties and Devon's boxers) had been added to the growing pile of discarded clothing. The kiss between her thighs was almost too much for Zara to bear but instead of continuing down there as she had hoped he would Devon retreated towards the bathroom, pulling her with him. On entering Zara saw now what Devon had been so secretive about earlier - the bathroom was decked out with candles and rose petals, making Zara smile and bite her lip at the sweet gesture. The bath was full and looked particularly inviting as Zara gripped Devon's hand a little harder, barely able to contain her happiness at finally being alone together.
Zara sighed a sigh of utter pleasure as Devon helped her into the bath and the hot water covered her skin. She sat down, feeling as if she could sink into the water quite happily and be at total peace. However at this moment in time there were other important matters which required her attention; the first and foremost being a naked Devon carefully joining her in the tub. Zara sensed that the moment was very close now - the moment in which they would both get what they were so longing for. Right on cue Zara felt Devon's fingers around her entrance and gasped softly as he pushed them inside her. She closed her eyes as they continued to kiss and Devon continued to make her glow on the inside. There was truly no better feeling than this. Zara smiled as Devon spoke, barely able to utter her reply to him through the waves of pleasure he was providing her with, "This is perfect, I love you too."
As Devon's fingers continued to move inside her Zara moved her own hand to grasp his already solid member. She played with it gently under the water for a few moments, letting herself get used to the feeling of having it in her hands again. It wasn't long before she held it a little tighter however and began to move her grip up and down its length. While she was doing this and Devon was pleasuring her Zara laid her head on her shoulder and carefully kissed his neck. The teasing continued and so the kisses transformed into tiny bites travelling up to his jaw line and down to his shoulder. Soon she was nibbling his ear and then soon moved on to his lips, kissing them first lightly and then taking his bottom lip between her teeth and tugging. Zara opened her eyes to meet Devon's and gave him a cheeky smirk which she was sure was reflected in her eyes, still with his lip between her teeth. She only released him when she felt his fingers twitch inside her in a new motion and her legs seemed to fail her so she sank back to leaning on his shoulder. Soft moans escaped her as Devon continued his teasing and finally sharp gasps as the tension inside her continued to build. Her grip on his cock loosened but she continued to hold on to it despite the relentlessness of Devon's fingering.

| Devon stilled for a moment as Zara’s fingers wrapped around his member, but he resumed quickly as she gripped tighter. He smiled as she started kissing and nipping at his neck. He kissed her back eagerly as her lips met his. He opened his eyes meeting hers, he’d have smiled back at her cheeky smirk but given as she had hold of his lip between her teeth it was a little difficult to do so. In order to get her to release his lip he changed his rhythm within her, smirking as she twitched against his hand. He didn’t care that her hand went slack on him; he honestly hadn’t even been paying attention to the fact that she had been touching him. With his free hand he moved to her hand and gently pulled it off of his arousal. He then placed her hand on his shoulder and his moved to her waist as he pulled her into a deep kiss letting her continue to build as his fingers continued to work inside her. When he knew she was teetering on the edge of her climax he slowed his fingers, and finally stilled them. He gently pulled them away and broke from their kiss.
He placed his finger over her lips before she could protest. “Shh my love, don’t worry we aren’t done.” He gently lifted her and set her next to him. Devon grabbed a bar of soap and a sponge. He lathered up the sponge then returned the soap to the side of the tub. He turned to face her and studied her face, smiling at the annoyance on her face, “I promise you’ll get to finish.” He took her hand in his and gently covered her arm and shoulder with the soap. He moved to her other shoulder and down her other arm. He set the sponge down on the side of the tub and pulled her to stand. Devon then picked up the sponge again and carefully lathered up the rest of her body with soap. He then reached over and pulled the plug on the tub and quickly rubbed himself down with the sponge. Glancing at Zara, “Did you know you are cute when you are pouting?” He smirked at her and reached around her turning the tap back on and pulling the curtain around the tub. He then turned the shower head on and once the water was the right temperature he gently pushed her under the water and pulled her closer to him, pressing his arousal against her as he kissed her passionately, letting the stream of water wash the soap away as his hands moved freely over her body. He shifted his hips against hers causing himself to moan softly against her lips. He deepened their kiss, pushing her against the shower wall, and pressed his hips harder against hers.
Devon broke from the kiss and stepped back, steadying her so she didn’t slip. He didn’t want either of them to finish just yet. He knew he was teasing her, to the brink of explosion but that was exactly what he wanted. He wasn’t too far behind her in being ready to explode. But that had to wait a while longer. He cleared his throat and picked up the bottle of shampoo, he offered her some then placed some into his own hand. As he returned the bottle to its place he smiled at her, “Mad love?” He lathered up his hair without looking away from her, stepping around her to rinse. He waited for her to finish with the shampoo and had rinsed it out, before pouring some conditioner into her hand. At that moment he wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her to him. Devon gently nipped at her neck for a moment before releasing her and grabbing a towel. He wrapped it tightly around her, then took a second and wrapped it around his waist. He stepped out of the tub and offered his hand to help her out. Wasting no move time he laced his fingers with hers and pulled her back into the bedroom. He pulled her towel off and pushed her back onto the bed. He let his fall onto the floor as he climbed up with her. Devon leaned down and gently pecked her lips, trailing once again to her jaw, down her neck shoulders and chest. He moved further past her breasts to her stomach and finally to her opening. He kissed her inner thighs a few times biting gently just to the side of her sensitive area. He then put his lips against her and pushed her legs further apart as he let his tongue move freely. As he continued he moved his hand so that he could slip his fingers inside of her once more. His movements slow at first, gradually increasing as she responded to his touch. He let her build again, only this time he didn’t stop. He continued with his fingers deep within her and his lips and tongue working along with his fingers.
He waited until she went over the edge to slow his movement; he finally started kissing back up her body, keeping his fingers in place, slowly moving them, keeping her on that edge. As he reached her neck he gently pulled his fingers away and slowly pushed himself into her. Each time he pulled out he pushed back in deeper than the thrust before until her was as deep within her as he could be. He stilled, still deep within her and looked at her, his voice shaking as he spoke, “I’m really glad you said yes, Zara. No one in the world could ever make me as happy as you do. You are the best thing that’s ever happened to me. I love you. I’m so glad to have you as my wife.” He leaned down and kissed her, resuming a slow rocking rhythm in and out of her. He was in no rush to finish. He was simply enjoying being this close to her, at this moment he was closer to her than he ever could be. That meant more than the sex, it was the intimacy between them that he loved. The chemistry they always had together. Nothing compared to the way she made him feel physically, mentally and emotionally. She was his entire world, his love, his wife. He smiled against her lips knowing she could see his thoughts. He didn’t care, it was true. Every thought, Zara was everything to him.

| They had made it from the bathroom to the bed and now as Devon pushed himself inside her Zara felt the familiar but much needed wave of relief and pleasure wash over her. She sighed heavily, savouring the feeling of being filled by him, and closed her eyes. Devon began to move inside her and Zara gasped every time he pushed a little deeper, the movement sending shock waves throughout her body and making her toes curl with pleasure. Her hands were gripping his arms as her whole body tensed and relaxed and tensed again in time with his thrusts. After all the teasing she was very close to her climax and she wasn't entirely sure how much longer she would last. Zara could feel her orgasm building within her and it had almost reached its peak when Devon's movements stilled.
Frustrated by the sudden halt Zara whimpered and moaned, opening her eyes and glaring at Devon, assuming he was doing this to tease her more. As he spoke her gaze softened and she smiled at him, feeling happier than she had done in a long time. Zara kissed him back gasping slightly as he started moving inside her again. It was slower this time, more rhythmic and less rushed. It was a wonderful feeling and Zara smiled as she saw Devon's thoughts were mirroring her own. There was really nothing like being as they were now, this closeness, this intimacy, it was amazing and Zara had almost forgotten how much she missed it.
It wasn't long before the beat of Devon's thrusts brought Zara over the edge. Her whole body convulsed and she screamed with the pleasure that Devon was providing her. Several profanities escaped her mouth as her mind was overcome with her orgasm. Somewhere along the way she felt the warmth of his cum inside her as he reached his orgasm himself. When Devon finally slowed and stilled Zara breathed one last moan before she went limp, panting slightly and looking up at him. As her body and mind started to drift into the happy, sleepy aftermath of their sex Zara laughed softly and kissed Devon, "I love you."
Sometime after they had settled down in each other’s arms they must have fallen asleep because Zara awoke to darkness outside the window. She was still swaddled in Devon's arms but just as she was about to close her eyes again Zara felt her stomach twinge. Knowing the signs she quickly and carefully de-tangled herself from Devon, doing her best not to wake him, and hurried to the bathroom. She made it just in time and was bent over the toilet bowl as she threw up. With one hand still holding her hair back Zara reached for the toilet flush and then sat back against the cold tiles of the wall. Her stomach still felt tender, as if she would throw up again at any second, so she didn't feel confident enough to head back to bed. Instead Zara stretched her legs out and rubbed her belly in smooth, small circles as she lent her head back on the wall. Slowly the churning settled and Zara felt her eyes droop. She knew she should return to bed but the bathroom floor was cool and inviting and before she could stop herself her eyes closed and she fell asleep.

| Devon rolled over in his sleep to snuggle back into Zara, only to find her side of the bed empty. He stretched and sat up as his eyes adjusted to the darkness in the room, upon glancing out the window he could see the sky slowly turning color as the sun began to rise. He glanced around as he stretched and yawned. Just as he was about to ask her where she was he noticed the light coming from the bathroom. He moved off the bed and headed over to the door. He knocked softly, “Zara? Are you okay love?” When he didn’t get an answer he quietly opened the door, smiling as he found her passed out on the floor. He knelt down beside her and gently tucked her hair behind her ear. “Come on; let’s get you back to bed.” He carefully tucked his arm under her legs and his other under her arm. Devon lifted her off the floor slowly so not to jostle her or make her nauseous. Devon laid her onto the bed and pulled the blanket up to her chin, leaning forward he kissed her forehead.
He turned leaving the room, grabbed his wand off the bedside table, pulling the door behind him, but left it cracked open so he could hear her if she called out to him. Devon made his way down the stairs and into the kitchen. He set his wand on the counter as he began pulling utensils from cabinets and drawers to start working on something for breakfast. He hadn’t taken the time since he and Zara had begun sharing a dorm at school to actually make a meal for them without using magic. He didn’t know if she knew that he had actually grown up learning to cook meals using muggle methods. He preferred it this way, but often didn’t have the time to prepare it this way. He turned towards the fridge and pulled it open; smiling at the fact that it had been fully stocked. He shook his head seeing that his mother had even made sure to include vegetarian alternatives for Zara. He pulled out what appeared to be bacon and noticed that it was labeled “vegan bacon” Whatever that meant. He shrugged assuming it was some sort of non-meat based bacon that she would be able to enjoy without actually eating the real thing. He dropped a few slices onto the pan. He then pulled out some eggs, cracking them into a second pan. As the bacon and eggs cooked he dropped some slices of bread into the toaster. Devon grabbed his wand and flicked it at a cabinet containing plates and cups sending them to the table, he did the same to the silverware drawer.
Devon finished up the bacon and eggs, moving both to a serving plate and sent the plate to the table with his wand. Turning back to the fridge he pulled out a carton of orange juice; that was also sent to the table. He glanced at the large grandfather clock in the dining room seeing it was well past eight in the morning he decided it was time to go wake up Zara. He made his way out of the kitchen, across the living room and finally up the stairs. He quietly pushed the bedroom door open, crossing over to the bed he gently shook her as he kissed her cheek. “Rise and shine Mrs Avery.” He smiled and waited for her to open her eyes. Zara's eyes blinked open slowly, looking up at him through bleary vision. When she eventually realised what he was saying she rolled over away from him and buried her face in the pillow, pulling the covers over her head. She grumbled something unintelligible. He laughed and clambered up on the bed, moving so that he was over her and nuzzled his face into her hair against her neck and nipped gently. “Come on babe get up.” He grabbed her hands and pulled her up into a sitting position. Ignoring her continued grumbling her he grabbed a nightgown and pulled it over her head. As he pulled her arms through the arm holes he said, “I have something for you downstairs.” He smiled at her and took her hands tugging her up onto her feet. “Come on then.” He led her from the bedroom to the stairs and headed down the steps and into the dining room. He pulled a chair out for her and waited for her to sit down before sitting next to her. “So, you’ll be surprised to know my mum stocked the kitchen with a bunch of vegan foods.” He smiled and waited for her to finish waking up and actually look at the food before them.

| When Zara next awoke it was to the soft sound of Devon's voice somewhere in the room. Confused for a moment Zara tried to open her eyes and look around. She only managed to peep through her heavy eyelids but was still able to ascertain that she was back in the bedroom. She half wondered if she had made her way back to bed herself but before she could dwell too much Devon was attempting to wake her again. Grumbling her dissatisfaction Zara rolled over and pulled the sheets over her head, refusing to move from the comfort of her warm nest. She attempted to hide from Devon as he jumped up onto the bed with her but it was no use and before she could argue he was pulling a night gown over her head. Zara made a half-hearted attempt to bat him away but missed and settled for a well placed scowl as he pulled her arms through the arm holes.
Once Devon had led her down to the kitchen Zara started to wake up a little more as the smell of breakfast teased the drowsiness away. She blinked her eyes a couple of times, barely taking in what Devon was saying. Eventually she looked down at the food that smelt so good beneath her nose. She smiled at the effort Devon had made - a glass of orange juice sat next to a plate full of eggs and bacon. Zara did a double take. Bacon? Inspecting it closer she realized it was not in fact pork but tofu. Zara realised what Devon must have meant when he was talking about his mother stocking the kitchen. She felt a twinge of guilt as she looked over at him, "That's so kind of her, she shouldn't have gone to so much effort." However the guilt didn't extend far enough to stop her eating the breakfast he had made her and she picked up her knife and fork and began to eat. She hummed her approval through a mouthful of bacon and eggs while smiling at Devon. Once she had finished her mouthful she said, "Thank you. I needed this after last night." Her cheeks flushed red at the thought of their late night activities.
Zara sipped her orange juice, running through the events of last night in her mind. It wasn't long before she remembered the sickness and the tenderness of her belly while sat on the bathroom floor. Automatically her hand went to caress her stomach, remembering what was growing inside. Zara half smiled and then remembered she needed to tell Devon about the sickness, "Looks like I'm going to have the same side-effects with this pregnancy as with Kora and Ryan. I was sick last night, although I don't think it was as bad as it was with them." She finished off the last piece of bacon and focused her attention on her remaining eggs as she waited for Devon to comment. When he didn't she glanced up at him wondering if he didn't want to talk about the pregnancy and decided to change the subject, "So... what are we going to do today?".

| Devon met her gaze as she looked over at him, he could feel the twinge of guilt rush through her as she spoke, before he could reassure her that it was no trouble at all, she was family and his mother would do anything for Zara the guilt faded and she dug in. He turned to his own plate and began eating. The tofu stuff didn’t taste as awful as he had expected, it was certainly a change he would have to get used to but he was willing to do it for her. He smiled as she announced her approval through mouthfuls, letting a soft chuckle leave his lips. He grinned and winked at her as she commented about needing this meal after last night’s activities.
Devon’s gaze shifted to her stomach as her hands found their way to it, he heard what she was saying but as usual his thoughts were racing around what this pregnancy would be like in comparison to the twins. He hoped it wouldn’t be accelerated like the twins had been, Zara deserved a normal pregnancy to really experience it at the proper pace. He looked up as she asked what he wanted to do today. Rather than answering he stood, kissing her lips gently, then picked up her plate and his own. He made his way into the kitchen and set them in the sink. He returned to the table picking up the serving platters, moving into the kitchen and setting them on the counter. He returned to the table a third time, pulled his wand from his pocket and setting it down on the table in front of her. He kissed her again, longer this time. As he pulled away he said, “I think…today we are going to slow things down and just enjoy each other’s company.” He gave her another peck on her lips and continued, “Without magic. We are going to muggle it today.” He smiled at her as he turned, heading back into the kitchen.
He pulled a few Tupperware containers from the cabinet and started shifting the remaining eggs and bacon into them. As he put the lid on the bacon he said, “I didn’t use magic to cook your breakfast by the way.” He moved over to the fridge and placed the containers inside. Moving back to the counter he grabbed the serving plates and set them into the sink. He looked over at her, wondering if she had ever seen a muggle dishwasher. He opened it and started placing the dishes into it. He closed it after adding soap, turning then to wipe down the counters and stove. He returned to the table and sat back into his chair, propping his elbow on the table and placing his face in his hand he smiled at her. He reached over with his other hand and gently placed his hand on her stomach. “Do you think this pregnancy will be accelerated like the first?” He looked at her face, “It doesn’t appear that your stomach has changed at all yet. With the twins we noticed you showing within a day.”

| As Devon moved around the kitchen Zara watched him from where she was sat. She couldn't tell what he was thinking but he didn't seem annoyed that she'd brought up the pregnancy. Zara folded her arms on the table and lay her head down on them, still keeping her eyes on Devon as he spoke about wanting to do a day without magic. Zara raised her eyebrows, smiling to herself - she would never understand why anyone would want to live without magic, even for a day, but Devon seemed so excited that she couldn't help but play along. She tried not to laugh as she watched him fiddling with Tupperware and filling a dish washer by hand, there was something very comical about it to her. Despite her reservations Zara had to admit that slowing it down for a day sounded nice. Knowing that the twins were safe and well looked after had already set her mind at ease and Zara couldn't remember the last time she had Devon all to herself. Maybe having a slow muggle say wasn't such a bad idea.
When Devon finally joined her at the table Zara was slightly taken aback when he placed a hand on her stomach. She smiled, glad that he was okay to acknowledge it, she had been so worried that he would be mad or annoyed. What for she didn't know but she wasn't naive enough to think that another baby so soon after the twins was going to be easy for either of them. Her pregnancy had put enough strain on their relationship the first time and juggling two infants at the same time wasn't going to be a walk in the park. Despite this Zara wanted Devon to be on the same page as she was - scared but excited too. She had always wanted a big family and although it was slightly earlier than expected it was what it was. Devon pulled Zara out of her thoughts when he asked about the pregnancy. She was quiet for a few moments and then placed her hand over his on her stomach. "Something's different this time." She paused, trying to decipher what she felt, "Its not the same as with the twins, it doesn't feel the same... I don't feel the same." Zara shrugged, "I don't know, maybe we'll actually do something normally for once." She smiled and stood up, picking her glass off the table and kissing Devon on the head as she walked to the kitchen. Zara instinctively reached for her wand and then glanced at Devon, remembering. She rolled her eyes but grinned and turned on the tap.
Once she had rinsed out the glass and set it on the side to dry Zara returned to where Devon was sat and wrapped her arms around his waist, resting her head on his shoulder. "I fancy a walk, does that sound muggle enough for you?" She kissed his cheek and nuzzled his neck, waiting for him to respond.

| Devon smiled as she stated this time things felt normal. He honestly was glad. They wouldn’t have to rush to prepare for this baby like they did the twins. They’d have proper time to get used to everything and really be able to enjoy the pregnancy process. Knowing this eased his racing thoughts. “Normal is good. Though it sounds weird….nothing about us has ever been normal.” He smirked. “Though, I quite like it that way.” He let his hand drop from her stomach as she stood up and smiled as she kissed his head. He was about to protest as she reached for her wand but laughed instead as she rolled her eyes, grinning as she moved to the sink. As she joined him again he pulled her close as she rested her head on his shoulder. He smirked at her remark. “Mhm, it does,” he said as he held her. He didn’t make any motion to get up though.
He gently rubbed her back with his fingertips as he spoke softly. “My mother used to take our wands and hide them in the summer when we’d come here. We would spend the entire summer without magic. Dad hated it. But she always insisted that we learn how to survive on our own without relying on our magic ability or our wands to do it for us. If you are okay with it, I’d like for the twins and the baby to learn the same way. We may be a pureblooded family but we don’t have to have the same twisted values other families do. I think the kids growing up with non-magic knowledge will really benefit them.”
He paused for a moment before continuing, “I don’t think I ever told you, but I actually attended Muggle School as well, even after I got my Hogwarts letter. Mother homeschooled me so I could continue learning all the muggle schooling topics alongside my Hogwarts classes. That’s honestly part of why I constantly seemed to have homework when no one else did.”
Devon stood slowly placing Zara on her feet, he kept his arms around her, he stayed quiet letting her process his long explanation of why he wanted to do things the muggle way today. He laced his hand in hers, bringing it up to his lips and kissing it gently before leading her into the front room. He grabbed a key ring off a hook and stuffed it into his pocket. Letting go of her hand he moved back to the kitchen, grabbed both of their wands and returned to her side. He stuffed them into his pocket, “Just in case.” He smiled and opened the door for her, following behind locking the door behind them and taking her hand again. “Where shall we go Mrs. Avery?” He grinned at her, giving her the opportunity to lead the way for their walk.

| As she listened quietly to Devon telling her about his childhood Zara gave a soft smile against his shoulder. She wasn't laughing at him, she just always loved hearing about his life before she had met him, and particularly about his childhood. Zara was always amazed at how different their pasts were and yet how perfectly they had always been together. She mused that if she had told her father that she wanted to live the muggle way without magic, as Devon had, his head might have exploded. Shame she hadn't thought of it sooner really... She had to admit though that she didn't really understand Adora's way of thinking or why Devon wanted to spend the day without magic now . Perhaps it was the way she had been brought up by her father but to Zara no magic was like removing a limb - it just made life ten times harder, and it wasn't like she was ever going to be without magic so what was the point? In any case Zara didn't voice her opinions to Devon in that moment - she wanted nothing more than for him to be happy and if a day without magic was what it took then so be it.
Zara was roused from her thoughts when Devon kissed her lips, she had barely noticed when he stood up and smiled into the kiss - she must try not to get so lost in her own thoughts. They headed to the door but just before leaving Devon grabbed their wands, Zara raised one eyebrow and gave a little laugh, hiding the fact that she was actually a little relieved. Once Devon had locked the door behind them Zara gave his hand a squeeze and looked around for a good place to start. The first few trees of the forest were just over to their right and this was where Zara led Devon. Before long they found what looked like a path, although it was fairly overgrown from lack of use. Not that Zara minded, her wolf side always made her feel more at home between the trees than anywhere else. She picked her way over branches and through the undergrowth with ease still holding onto Devon's hand. The sound of the forest all around them gave her chills, with her enhanced hearing Zara could hear every rustle of leaves and snapping of twigs from the woodland creatures all around them. Of course nothing was visible - even the birds making a commotion above them were concealed by the tree canopy. Zara took a deep breath, letting the smell fill her lungs. She stopped, closing her eyes as she felt a tingling sensation deep inside her.
Zara opened her eyes and turned to Devon, excitement bright in her eyes as her wild-self simmered just below the surface. She gripped his hand and bit her lip before speaking, just managing to contain herself, "Can we change? I want to run. It doesn't feel right being here in human form." That was the best way she could describe it to him - it felt as if she was home but the forest itself wouldn't welcome her until she had changed. She really hoped Devon would be up for it, she wanted to run with him. Wolves were never meant to be alone, that's why most were-wolves found transformations so difficult - not only does the physical transformation go against their human nature and indeed nature itself but mentally being alone goes against the wolf instinct, making most transformations distinctly unenjoyable.

| Devon led Zara from the house, he was just about to stick the house key into his pocket when he heard her need to run as a wolf before she voiced it. He wasn't cheating on their no magic day, their connection was just something they had regardless of if he wanted to do things without magic or not. But the longing look on her face pulled at his heart, he couldn't say no to her when it felt like she needed it so desperately. He glanced at her, her expression mirrored the feeling he had felt from her, her words also reflecting it. He sighed and turned back to the door, unlocking it. He looked back at her with a smirk on his face as he pulled his wand, followed by hers from his pocket. Holding their wands in one hand he motioned with his finger for her to come towards him. He handed her, her wand then quickly conjured a lanyard for the house key. He looped the key ring onto the key and hung it over his neck as he gave her a look that clearly stated, You're making me cheat., but he quickly resumed smirking mischievously carefully not allowing her to read much of what he was thinking or planning.
He moved to stand directly in front of her, still without saying anything or even answering her question about running and kissed her lightly. He smirked once again and slowly started undoing the buttons of his shirt. He slipped out of it, folding it slowly. Thoroughly enjoying not letting her know what he was doing. His tee shirt followed suit, he folded it too, placing it with the button up on an end table next to the front door. He kicked off his shoes and knelt down to pull off his socks as well. Once those were properly set aside he stood, kissed her again, then unbuttoned his pants and pulled them off. Devon stood in front of her in nothing but his boxers, gave her a wink, smirk plastered across his face as he grabbed his wand again, pointing it at himself and quietly saying the incantation to shift.
His wand and boxers landed on the floor. He tugged his boxers over to sit with his shoes, then grabbed his wand in his mouth and tossed it onto the table with his clothes. He padded back outside, turned to look at her expectantly for a moment before bowing his head for the lanyard with the key to fall off his neck. He nudged it towards her before walking up to her, giving her a playful growl and darting off into the woods.

| As Zara watched Devon undress in front of her she couldn't stop the smile from spreading across her face. She knew was this meant, even without Devon needing to say it. They were going to change. They had made their way back to the front door so that they could deposit their clothes inside but Zara made no move to undress just yet. She was enjoying watching Devon too much. She bit her lip when he was down to his boxers, not trying to hide the fact that she was looking at his body - he would see it in her thoughts anyway whether she wanted him to or not. She met his eyes just as he took his wand and murmured the incantation to change himself. Zara watched as Devon's body seamlessly morphed into a ___ wolf. He nudged the key towards her when he was ready before leaping off into the trees. Zara laughed softly but now she was feeling the tug of the forest and her desperate need to run. She quickly pulled off her shirt and unbuttoned her jeans, sliding them off along with her shoes and socks. Although Devon wasn't anywhere in sight Zara knew he would be watching from within the trees and she made a little more of a show of taking off her clothing than she would have normally because of that fact. Finally she unclipped her bra and flung it into the house, her panties followed and she smirked at the reaction she got from Devon through their connection. Zara quickly picked up the key from the ground, locked the door and placed the lanyard over her head so the key fell just between her breasts.
Zara looked towards the forest and started to run towards the spot where Devon had disappeared. She was just nearing the tree line when the smell of the forest and all its inhabitants hit her once again. Without warning she suddenly changed form. She yelped but more out of surprise than pain - this was what her body was mean to do and now that she was embracing that fact the change was practically instantaneous. She didn't even break stride, one second her bare feet were pounding on the mossy ground and the next four strong paws were flying across it increasing her speed ten-fold.
Zara burst through the tree line and let out an excited whine as she almost collided with Devon. She ran one circle around him, nipping at his hindquarters before darting off into the undergrowth. In wolf form everything was perfectly clear, Zara could see a log or bush that she had to avoid minutes before she needed to react. The thorns and twigs that caught her coat and scraped at her muzzle were barely noticeable. Somewhere behind her she could hear Devon and just as she rounded a corner she dived behind a bush. When he ran past she leapt out catching his back end and sending them crashing to the floor, rolling through the leaves. Once they came to a stop Zara pinned him and growled playfully before licking his nose and darting off again. Soon she came to a small clearing where the trees had thinned to allow for a large boulder surrounded by soft grass. Zara sprang up onto the boulder and threw her head back, letting out a long, joyful howl. She was panting heavily when she finished and so lay down on the boulder's cool, smooth surface to wait for Devon.
