Big things in store for this couple! If you aren't caught up now is the time since Cat and I got the massive story of these two into one big thread. This is the only separate thread we will have for them at this time! Here is the full story of Devon and Zara!

-------------------

Devon groaned as he was shaken from his sleep by an unwanted person. He opened one eye and glared at the person expecting it to be Zara, but it wasn’t. “W-what do you want?” He asked his best friend Alex and his father Apollo. It was Alex who spoke, “You to get up. Your mum’s kicking all of the guys out of the house for the day for wedding plans. You aren’t allowed to be here.” Devon rolled his eyes and pulled his pillow over his face. His mother had taken off with planning the wedding since right after Christmas, he and Zara hardly had any time together. Adora was always pulling her away from him right when they would get the chance to talk for dress fittings, cake tastings, bonding and whatever else she stole her away for. Devon was spending far too much time with his dad and it was really starting to irritate him. They fought constantly and hardly got any decisions made for their tasks for the wedding which included picking tuxedo’s and building out door decorations that the girls wouldn’t be able to make. “Get up out of bed Devon, now.” Apollo’s voice was close to Devon’s ear and it made him jump. He sat up and scowled, “Fine. I’m up. Get out so I can get dressed.”

Alex and Apollo left the room, the second the door was shut Devon fell back against the pillow and rolled over closing his eyes again. He was tired, he hadn’t been sleeping very well since his mother had insisted they no longer sleep in the same room until after the wedding. Devon had been particularly upset about it because not only did it take Zara away from him but it took the twins too. They were all on the other side of the house up in his sisters’ wing. He pulled the pillow that had once been where Zara’s head rested to him and tried to fall back asleep. “Damnit, Devon! NOW!” Apollo’s voice came loudly through the door. Devon groaned and climbed out of bed. He dressed quickly and stepped out into the hallway moving past his father and best friend down the stairs. Ignoring their comments as he made his way over to where Zara was standing with her arms outstretched as Adora moved around her measuring her body, obviously for more dress fittings. Ignoring his mother’s irritated comments as he walked up to Zara giving her a quick hug and a light kiss on her cheek. He smiled at her, making eye contact with her. ”Going crazy yet?” He tucked a strand of hair behind her ear that was hanging over her eye, knowing if she moved her arm to get it out of her face Adora would start complaining. He kissed her forehead and whispered, “I love you.” He hugged her again and stepped away from her before his mother could start lecturing him about disturbing Zara.

Devon joined his dad and Alex in the kitchen and zoned out on the conversation about wooden arches and matching chairs. He crossed his arms over his chest and started listening to Zara’s complaints in their minds; he shared many of the same ones. He missed her too and just wanted to snuggle with her away from everyone. They were just a few short weeks away from the wedding and everyone was stressed out, on edge and temperamental. Neither Devon or Zara could ever get a word in about anything. No one seemed to care what they had to say about anything. Both of them, especially Devon had given up on trying to get a word in. He had shut down entirely after a week of being dragged everywhere by his father and Alex to do this or that. He clung to every little moment that he and Zara had together, even if it was nothing more than a passing hello or quick hug.

Middle of January creeped slowly up on them, Devon was finally able to escape his Dad and Alex long enough to get to where Zara was with his mother and sisters talking about flower arrangements. He sat down next to her in the recliner she was in and wrapped his arms around her, resting his head on her shoulder, closing his eyes, breathing in her familiar scent. He said nothing and ignored his mother’s complaining. He wasn’t going to interrupt their conversation; he just wanted to be close to her for a while without being pulled away. “Devon, you can’t be in here with us.” Whitney said as his mother continued to try and shoo him away. He didn’t budge; he would not leave this time unless Zara sent him away. All they were discussing was stupid flowers, why couldn’t he just sit her quietly with her? He scowled but remained silent.

Apparently the serenity and peace that had fallen over Zara and Devon over the Christmas celebrations was never meant to last past the first few days of January. That is to say that Mrs Avery never meant it to last much longer than that. Almost as soon as Christmas had passed and the last of the decorations stowed away once more plans for the big wedding day began in full swing. Initially, the night that Adora had come into Devon's room while he and Zara had been relaxing with the twins to tell them that with the morning and the following weeks would come all the preparations for their wedding, Zara had been excited, a kind of tentative excitement that she had never really experienced before that was riddled with nerves and anticipation. However, as the weeks slowly slid away from them Zara enthusiasm to spend her every waking hour choosing what colour napkins she wanted different tables to have and other such menial tasks, was very quickly beginning to disperse.

Not to mention the fact that she and Devon had been separated - she was now sleeping in a room on the other side of the house with the twins and as a result was getting barely any time alone with Devon. Occasionally Adora would ask his opinion on something they were discussing with his sisters and he was allowed to join in the conversation for a brief minute before being shooed away again. Except for this and the quick hugs and pecks on the cheek they just about got time for in the mornings Devon and Zara we being kept far to busy to be even thinking about escaping to spend a little time together with the twins or just alone.

As well as the little time she was getting with Devon, Zara was also beginning to become completely overwhelmed with the preparations for the wedding - she had never really been in a situation before when she was forced to think about how much went into a wedding. To Zara, unfortunately, most of it seemed completely pointless and when she imagined marrying Devon she had never lost any sleep over what colour the box should be that contained Devon's great aunt's wedding favour. Zara had never really realised that topic needed so much discussion (in the end they had decided on baby blue so as not to offend the ancient old woman). Either way the charm of planning a wedding was wearing off at an alarming speed and Zara was getting more and more uncomfortable with the amount of crazy things that Adora seemed to be planning - apparently people didn't just get married, it had to be some sort of massive party with gifts and money and garters (which Zara had been rather horrified at the idea of). Then again, perhaps this is the way weddings had always been done and Zara simply wasn't knowledgeable enough in the ways of women and matrimony to know.

It was a only a couple of weeks before the wedding and Zara was once again hearing the quiet tap tap tap on the door to her room and Hayden's tentative voice calling through to her, "Zara, Mum says it’s time to get up because she needs to fit you for your dress early so you can try it on and she can make adjustments while the boys are outside." The choosing of Zara's wedding dress had been one of the only tasks that Zara had so far enjoyed, also one of the only things that she had had much of a say in. Some of the dresses Adora had picked out for her had been truly awful and Zara had vowed the morning beforehand that she wouldn't let Adora pressure her into getting a dress she wasn't completely happy with. After the fifth, pale pink, poufy chiffon number Zara had darted out of the dressing room and hurried off to look for herself, returning fifteen minutes later with three floor length silk dresses that she had picked out. After that the process went quite smoothly and Zara was happy that Adora also seemed equally satisfied with the final dress that Zara had chosen.

Zara remembered Adora had said something about fitting and adjustments last night but she could barely open her eyes - the twins hadn't slept well last night, Zara was sure it was something to do with being away from Devon for so long, and she been awake half the night comforting them. There was another tap on the door, "Zara?" Not having realised she had almost slipped off into dream land again Zara forced her eyes open and spoke in a muffled tone, "Alright, thank you Hayden, I'll been done soon." She heard Devon's sister skipping off back down the corridor, practically smelling the excitement the girl had for the fitting. Zara buried her head in the pillow and moaned loudly, wishing Devon was beside her so she could just cuddle into him and fall back asleep.

In the end she forced herself out of bed, dressed quickly and got the twins ready for the day ahead, usually while Adora was preparing Zara with everything the twins played with Hayden or Whitney and so Zara grabbed some of the toys in a little shoulder bag before picking them both up and balancing them on her hips before making her way carefully downstairs. When she reached where Adora and the girls were she settled the twins down nearby and turned to smile sleepily at Devon's mother who was prattling on about something that Zara didn't care about. Instead Zara was focussing her mind on Devon's thoughts he was still half asleep but she could tell he had already been woken up at least once. "...Zara?" Zara looked up quickly, not realising she was being spoken to directly, "Sorry?" She asked quickly and Adora gave her a reproving look before repeating herself, "Step up onto to the foot stool so I can take your measurements again just to make sure the dress still fits just right." Zara obeyed, knowing there was no point in trying to argue and stepped up onto the footstool, allowing Adora to stretch out her arms and begin to measure around them as she stood there. She had almost completely zoned out again until she heard footsteps descending the stairs. Zara looked up and saw Devon appear, her stomach instantly fluttered and she smiled slightly watching as he came over and hugged her briefly. Zara took in his smell, savouring it, knowing it could be a whole day before they got to be this close again. She missed him so much that whenever she was near him she just wanted to wrap all her limbs around him and bury her face in his shoulder and not let go for a very long time.

She complained to him for a while over their mind connection, angrily stating as Adora muttered about how thin she was that she wasn't thin she was simply boney - all to Devon only of course. Apollo, Alex and Devon wandered off outside and the day dragged on with Zara barely getting another glimpse of Devon until dinner and even then they didn't speak privately. She went to bed exhausted and upset and feeling vaguely sick to top it all off, managing only a fitful night of sleep.

A few days later, Zara was sat pretending to discuss flower arrangements and colour schemes with Adora and Devon's sisters when she suddenly felt Devon's presence approach. She looked up just in time as he settled himself next to her and wrapped his arms around her. Zara could tell he was missing her too, just as desperately as she was and it was obvious he had had enough of the separation as he sat in silence beside her. Zara reached up her hand and gently began stroking his hair, closing her eyes and breathing in his scent. Even when Adora started to complain Devon didn't move or say a word and Zara shook her head and replied, "It’s okay, he can stay, can't he? I mean I'd rather he had an opinion in all this as well." Of course it was just an excuse for them to spend a little more time together but it seemed to work and they spent the remainder of the evening curled up together. Finally when Adora stood and announced she should go start dinner Zara looked up, remembering something she had been meaning to say. "Oh Adora, the twins will have to stay in Devon's room tonight because it’s a full moon and I have to change tonight." Adora looked a little taken aback for a moment before nodding, "Alright dear that's fine." The others left and Zara and Devon were left alone together.

Zara turned to him instantly and kissed his lips softly, closing her eyes and savouring every second before pulling away and saying softly, "Will you be okay when Kora changes tonight? She'll be bigger now so you'll have to separate her and Ryan and just watch her claws and such." She looked at him with worried eyes but as soon as he reassured her she settled down with him again and they spent a few more minutes together just enjoying each other's company before Adora called them for dinner.

That night once the twins were settled with Devon and she had kissed him goodbye, Zara slipped outside and into the surrounding woods. Almost instantly she morphed into her wolf as she ran, darting through the trees and baying at the moon high in the sky. It felt so good to be free again and Zara spent the rest of the night padding around in the extensive forest, foraging in the undergrowth and scaring away small critters. Towards the end of the night as the morning light first started to make its appearance Zara began to become aware of a sickly feeling deep in her stomach which made her just want to lie down and not move until it receded. However, morning was upon her and Zara changed back into her human form with a little more difficulty than the initial change, clutching her stomach as she stood up off the ground. The feeling became more and more intense until she couldn't take it anymore, she turned towards the nearest tree, scraping back her tatty hair and threw up at the base of the trunk. She frowned and coughed slightly, grabbing her clothes from nearby and hurrying towards the house. Zara poured herself a glass of water and washed out her mouth still feeling queasy. Without really thinking about it Zara wandered up the stairs towards Devon's room, catching herself in a mirror in the hall and seeing her ghostly white complexion. She pushed open Devon's door and slid into his bedroom, it was dark but she could see his outline on top of his bed. "Devon?" She whispered, not wanting to wake the twins. She climbed up silently onto his bunk bed and shook his shoulder gently, "Devon?" She waited until he responded and then lay down beside him, "I don't feel good." She cuddled up to him, still holding her stomach even though she didn't feel the need to be sick again, confused and tired after her night out in her wolf form.

Devon closed his eyes as Zara reached up her hand and gently began stroking his hair, such a small gesture meant so much after days with little or no contact with each other. Even when Adora started to complain Devon didn't move or say a word and Zara shook her head and replied, "It’s okay, he can stay, can't he? I mean I'd rather he had an opinion in all this as well." Devon grinned knowing it was just an excuse for them to spend a little more time together but it seemed to work and they spent the remainder of the evening curled up together. Finally when Adora stood and announced she should go start dinner Zara looked up, remembering something she had been meaning to say. "Oh Adora, the twins will have to stay in Devon's room tonight because it’s a full moon and I have to change tonight." Devon glanced up at his mother actually curious to see how she reacted to Zara needing to slip out. Of course she knew Zara was a werewolf but she had never really been told when Zara left since in the months previous it had just been her and Devon and she could easily leave without telling anyone else in the house. Adora looked a little taken aback for a moment before nodding; Devon smirked to himself. "Alright dear that's fine." The others left and Zara and Devon were left alone together.

Before Devon had the chance to do anything, Zara turned to him instantly and kissed his lips softly, closing her eyes and savouring every second before pulling away and saying softly, "Will you be okay when Kora changes tonight? She'll be bigger now so you'll have to separate her and Ryan and just watch her claws and such." She looked at him with worried eyes. He smiled and nodded, “Of course I can.”All too soon they were called to dinner. Though all through dinner Devon kept one hand lightly on Zara’s leg; not for any other reason other than to be close to her.

That night once the twins were settled with Devon and she had kissed him goodbye, Zara slipped outside and into the surrounding woods. Devon stayed awake long enough to see she was content and happy running through the woods before letting himself drift off to sleep. Devon woke when Kora howled from her bed across the room. He got up and made his way to the twins and picked her up out of her bed, checked on Ryan making sure he was still asleep. He set her down on the floor and she tugged on his pant leg making Devon smile. He remembered his altered animagus form and quickly shifted. He laid down on the floor beside Kora. She sniffed him a few times before curling up next to him and falling asleep against his fur. He stayed awake watching her as she slept. He kept his mind open to Zara listening to her thoughts as she continued to run around the woods. As soon as Kora shifted back Devon shifted as well. He quickly pulled his pajama pants back on then picked up his sleeping baby girl and returned her to her bed with her brother, he placed her next to Ryan knowing the sudden lack of Devon’s warmth would wake her. Having Ryan beside her would sooth her and put her back to sleep quickly. He climbed back into his bed and fell asleep instantly.

Too early for Devon’s liking he heard his door open and someone whisper, "Devon?" He groaned and rolled over not wanting to be woken up the sun was barely up. The intruder climbed up silently onto his bunk bed and shook his shoulder gently, "Devon?" Zara’s voice…he rubbed his eyes then looked up at her, “Hmm?” He said as she laid down beside him, "I don't feel good." She cuddled up to him. He wrapped his arms tightly around her and kissed her cheek lightly. He noticed her holding her stomach. “Did you eat something you shouldn’t have?” He asked as he yawned. He gently moved her hands off of her stomach, replacing them with his own, slipping them under her shirt and gently ran his thumbs lightly over her skin hoping to sooth her upset stomach. “Kora slept through her transformation, woke up long enough to howl once. I brought her in here and stayed up with her until she shifted back.” His words were whispered and thick with sleep. He drifted back off before Zara could answer him.

“Get up, both of you!” It was Apollo’s voice that came through the door. He opened it without knocking and grabbed the now crying twins passing them off to Devon’s sisters before making his way over to where Devon and Zara were sleeping soundly. “You two know you are not allowed in the same bed again until after the wedding. Get up right now!” He said as he grabbed the blanket and pulling it off the two sleeping teenagers. Devon groaned and snuggled closer to Zara in attempts to not only block out the sudden cold air but to fall back into the deep sleep his father had ruined. “No. Don’t you dare drop back off Devon, get up. We have things to do. Zara is needed downstairs, cake testing today with your mother and sisters.” Apollo shook Devon, unlike Zara it wasn’t gentle it was rough and instantly roused Devon from his sleep. He sat up and glared at Apollo. “Okay, fine. Get out. I’m up. Just got away and I will wake her up. She was only in here because she didn’t feel good last night after she shifted back.” Apollo’s expression softened only for a moment as he glanced at Zara. He then glared at Devon, “Fifteen minutes then I am coming back in and dragging you out of your room.” Devon nodded but said nothing as he watched Apollo leave the room.

As soon as the door was shut he turned his attention to his sleeping fiancé. “Zara…” He stroked her cheek gently. “We have fifteen minutes to get out of bed.” He kissed her forehead and gently shook her, “Come on baby wake up. I know you don’t feel good but you have to get up.” He shook her gently once more then kissed her lips, deepening it as she started to wake up only breaking away as soon as her arms wrapped around his neck. He kissed her forehead and stood offering to help her up too. “Let’s get moving before my dad has a heart attack from yelling at us some more. My sisters have the twins.” He spoke as he changed clothes. He summoned clothes for Zara and her bathroom supplies. He set them down on the bed and pulled her into a tight hug. He whispered to her, “I love you.” Then kissed her lightly and stepped away sitting on the edge of the bed leaving her to start getting ready. He kept his attention outside the door way ready to jump up and hold it shut if Apollo dared to try and enter while Zara was changing clothes.

Within a few minutes Apollo was at the door. Devon jumped off the bed landing on his hands and feet. He quickly stood and pressed himself against the door to prevent Apollo from opening it."You two better not be in that bed." Devon quickly locked the door. Apollo turned the knob. "Why is this locked?" Devon smirked and looked over at Zara. "Open this door right now!" Devon rolled his eyes, "Chill Dad. Zara's getting ready. I'd appreciate it if you stopped trying to come in while she's indecent. We'll be out in a couple minutes. Please just go away." Apollo was silent for a moment before grunting and stomping back down the stairs. Devon looked over at Zara, "Almost ready?" He asked softly. As soon as she was at his side he pulled her into a tight hug and kissed her as deeply and passionately as he could. "Ready for yet another day of being kept apart?" He frowned and held on to her tightly unwilling to let go even though he knew he had to. After several minutes he released her and took her hand in his, lacing his fingers with hers. He unlocked the door and pulled it open.

Before stepping into the hall way he stole another quick kiss. Then lead her down the stairs into the kitchen where everyone was waiting for them. "Its about damn time you two joined us." Apollo grunted. Adora glared at him and greeted them, "Morning dears. Sit, have some breakfast." She set down plates for the two of them and turned to her husband, "Leave them alone so they can eat in peace. We keep them apart far too much, one night won't be the end of the world Apollo." He grunted and left the kitchen. Devon smiled at his mother in appreciation for her understanding even though he knew as soon as they finished eating they would be separated and dragged off for more wedding tasks. Devon pulled Zara's chair out for her then sat down next to her. He moved his chair as close to hers as he could without being in her way. He placed his hand lightly on her leg and ate as slowly as he could. Was he stalling? Definitely. He finished too soon though and shoved his plate away but he made no movement to get up not wanting to leave her just yet. He kept his hand in her lap as he waited for her to finish, he propped his chin up with his free hand and spaced out slightly. He was tired, really tired and just wanted to curl up with her and drift off again.

The sound of the door banging open and Apollo's angry voice wasn't even enough to rouse Zara from the death-like sleep she had fallen into. Her eyelashes fluttered slightly when Devon spoke to his father but there was no more of a reaction from her than that and Zara soon drifted off again. Before she could fully return to her deep slumber however, she felt Devon's warm touch on her cheek and although she didn't open her eyes or show any sign of it the touch roused her more than Apollo's outburst ever could have. She moaned softly with her eyes still closed but it wasn't until Devon's lips touched hers that she blinked open her eyes to look up at him. Once Zara was conscious enough to realise that this was the first proper kiss they had been able to share in quite a while she reached up and went to wrap her arms around Devon's neck, wanting the kiss to carry on and on until they were both out of breath. She missed kissing him like this and she hoped Adora and Apollo realised that when Devon was told at the alter that he could kiss the bride, the bride might very well tackle him to the ground and throw of her dress right then and there. Before the kiss could go any further however, Devon pulled away and it was all Zara could do not to glare up at him in a completely unimpressed manner.

She received one kiss to the forehead as compensation before Devon stood and helped her up as well. Zara nodded, slightly moodily, as Devon suggested they get a move on and took the clothes he had just summoned her without a word. Now that she was stood up and moving around Zara realised she was still not feeling herself, her stomach felt as if it was churning from last night's events and there was a tightening in her throat as if she was about to be sick once again. However, she didn't mention anything to Devon - if she said anything then he would insist she stay in bed which would inevitably lead to yet another argument between him and his father and Zara's head was pounding enough to determine that she wasn't about to take that chance. She was grateful when Devon pulled her into a tight hug and she was able to bury her face in his neck and breathe in his familiar scent. Too soon, however, Devon pulled back and kissed her forehead once more and Zara was left with no choice but to get dressed and try her best not to look too sickly.

She was halfway through getting dressed, with her jeans on and her shirt hanging from her hand when she heard Apollo's footsteps coming from down the corridor and heading for Devon's room. Zara looked up at Devon sharply just as he realised the same as she and jumped of his bed, landing on his hands and knees before pressing himself against the door to his room. Zara waited until Devon had turned the lock before continuing - if there was one thing she wasn't comfortable with it was anyone other than Devon seeing her body, the scars across her back definitely weren't something she advertised and she wasn't ready for Apollo to see anything of the sort. Zara pulled on her shirt quickly as Devon bickered with his father, relieved when Apollo gave in and stomped away back downstairs.

When Devon and Zara finally made their way downstairs Zara held tightly onto Devon's hand, taking deep breaths to try and calm her churning stomach, although it wasn't working amazingly well. Zara jumped slightly as they entered the kitchen and Apollo snapped at them both and she took her seat quickly, pulling Devon with her before he could answer back to his father. Adora placed a plate each in front of them both and Zara looked down at the eggs and bacon on hers and felt her stomach lurch uncomfortably. She looked across at Devon to see he was already tucking in but Zara knew she wasn't going to be able to finish her food whether she wanted to or not and she definitely didn't want to throw up in front of the whole of Devon's family. She pushed the eggs around her plate for a few minutes before spooning a tiny amount into her mouth and forcing herself to swallow it but it only made her feel worse.

Finally Zara gave up with trying to force down her breakfast and looked over at Devon again, only now noticing that he had cleaned his plate and was obviously waiting for her to finish. Glancing up to see that Adora had her back turned to them, washing some dishes in the sink, Zara quickly pushed most of her eggs and all of her bacon onto Devon's empty plate and spoke to him via their connection, "I can't eat it, I really don't feel good. Can you eat it so she doesn't know?" Zara shot him a pleading look before setting down her fork and pushing her plate away from her before moving her hands down to her stomach and pressing them against it. Adora spoke with her back to them, still washing up, making Zara jump slightly, "So Zara today we have cake tasting, and there is so much choice you'll be just amazed - I really wasn't expecting them to bring so many samples but they really came through on such short notice. I tell you, you'll be full by dinner time tonight." Zara sat there for a moment, staring into the distance as she listened to Adora before standing up silently, shaking her head at Devon, knowing she would be as white as a sheet, before hurrying from the room with her hand over her mouth. She past Apollo and Devon's sisters before any of them could say anything and Zara ran up the stairs and along the corridors until she reached the nearest bathroom.

Thankfully the chill of the white tile and open window calmed her, making her breathe deeper until the feeling that she was on the verge of throwing up had passed. Zara ran a hand through her hair and groaned softly, lowing herself down onto the bathroom floor and resting her head back against the bath, taking long deep breaths. The door to the bathroom was still wide open and she could hear Devon's footsteps a little way off down the corridor but she stayed quiet, thinking carefully about the previous night and if she had eaten anything, anything at all that would have caused her food poisoning like this.

Devon watched as Zara pushed the eggs around her plate for a few minutes before spooning a tiny amount into her mouth and forcing herself to swallow it. He frowned but said nothing. He knew she hadn’t felt well the previous night and didn’t expect her to force herself to eat if she couldn’t stomach it. Finally Zara gave up with trying to force down her breakfast and looked over at Devon again. Glancing up to see that Adora had her back turned to them, washing some dishes in the sink, Zara quickly pushed most of her eggs and all of her bacon onto Devon's empty plate, he couldn’t keep the amused smile from his face he knew she didn’t want to upset his mother by not eating and spoke to him via their connection, Zara shot him a pleading look before setting down her fork and pushing her plate away from her before moving her hands down to her stomach and pressing them against it. Devon nodded and still keeping one hand on her lap quickly ate what she had moved over to his plate. When he finished he looked over at Zara watching her face as his mother went on and on about the cake, she looked ready to be sick again. Just as he was about to tell his mother to shut up Zara stood up silently, shaking her head at Devon, knowing she would be as white as a sheet, before hurrying from the room with her hand over her mouth. She past Apollo and Devon's sisters before any of them could say anything and Zara ran up the stairs and along the corridors until she reached the nearest bathroom.

As she exited the kitchen all eyes fell onto Devon. He frowned watching the doorway Zara had disappeared through as his mother spoke, “Is she alright?” Devon shrugged and stood up quickly to follow her. He pushed past his father ignoring the angry look he gave him. He rushed up the stairs and stepped into the bathroom finding Zara sitting on the floor leaning against the bath tub. He pushed the door shut lightly then carefully sat down next to her and took one of her hands in his as he wrapped his other arm around her and gently pulled her closer. “Are you okay?” He asked, his voice full of worry and concern for her. Zara closed her eyes and nodded, "I just feel sick and its cool in here and there's no one nagging us." She rubbed a hand over her face, that was true. For once they were nag free and it was honestly nice. But it sucked that she had to be sick to her stomach for it to happen.

He gently ran his thumb over the back of her hand as she continued, "I think I'll just get a glass of water and I'll be fine." Zara moved to stand up with one hand on the bath tub to push herself up, Devon held onto to her ready to help if she needed it. What was left of her colour drained from her face and Zara shook her head clutching her stomach and sinking back down to the floor. "Nope." He frowned for a moment then let go of her hand and stood up. “I’ll be right back.” He opened the door and stepped out pulling it shut behind him. He made his way back down the stairs into the kitchen ignoring questions from his family about Zara as he grabbed a cup from the cabinet and quickly filled it with cold water. He moved past his overly worried mother ignoring her pleas for him to tell her what was going on and made his way back up the stairs.

He opened the bathroom door again and stepped in, he knelt in front of Zara and handed her the cup. When she took it from him he waited while she drank it, once she handed it back to him he set it down on the sink and shifted so that he could place one arm under her legs and the other around her back. He lifted her carefully so not to jostle her and make her sick. He carried her slowly through the door, down the stairs into the living room. He sat down on the couch keeping her cradled in his arms as his family made their way into the room. Once they were seated he said, “I really don’t think she should do the cake tasting today. She already gave you a list of her favorites as have I. Just pick one and surprise us, we really don’t need to be part of every little detail of the planning.” He then turned his attention to Zara and kissed her head gently.

“The arches and chairs are only half finished Devon.” Apollo said in an annoyed tone. Devon looked up and glared at his father, “Then use your fucking wand and make some appear. It doesn’t all have to be done like muggles. Seriously Dad! None of you even listen to anything we say. We’re both content with something totally simple and all of you are going way over the top with everything it’s ridiculous.” Adora gasped, in an offended manor. Apollo grunted and his sisters started complaining. Devon didn’t care. They could all go jump off a freaking cliff right now for all he cared. He focused his attention on Zara completely ignoring everything they were saying.

The cold tile was nothing compared to the comfort Zara gained from Devon as he placed his arm around her and Zara realised that it was his presence beside her that she had been missing these past few weeks more than anything else any case his arm around her did more to sooth her stomach than even the open window. After her failed attempt to stand and get herself a glass of water Zara mentally reserved herself to staying exactly where she was for at least the rest of the day. She hadn't felt her stomach lurch like that since before the twins were born and she was not a fan - anything she could do to avoid it would be exactlu what she did.

Just as she had comfortably settled herself back on the floor Devon shifted and stood up, zara looked up at him but said nothing not dating to move enough to speak and to exhausted to ask him anything over their connection. Instead she closed her eyes and listened to Devon's footsteps as they faded away somewhere downstairs. Zara went back to thinking about what she might have eaten while in her wolf form to cause such an upset to her stomach. She thought back to seeing a patch of foxglove growing beside one of the old oak trees where she had been running - was it possible she had gotten some on her paws or fur and then licked it up while cleaning herself? That wouldn't be good, foxglove was poisonous even in small doses and Zara really didn't fancy being sent to hospital when everyone was so stressed about the wedding. While her thoughts were still wandering Zara heard Devon return and opened her eyes to see him holding out a cup of water for her, she took it gladly, thanking him and taking small, careful sips, just testing how it made her stomach feel. Thankfully it seemed to chill her churning stomach and Zara started to feel a little better just in time for Devon to slide an arm around her and one under her legs and lift her off the bathroom floor. Zara wrapped her arms around her neck making it easier for him and buried her head in his neck, trying to make sure the rock of him walking didn't churn her stomach again.

Devon made his way downstairs and into the living room, Zara knew that at any second they would be inundated with questions from his family so she took the few moments they had to breathe him in and just enjoy being this close to him again. Devon sat down on the couch with Zara cradled on his knee in his arms and she just snuggled closer, burying herself in him and taking comfort in his warmth and familiarity. She heard Devon's family enter the room and take a seat around them, she really just wished they would go away and leave her be, as mean and ungrateful as that sounded Zara just wanted some peace and quiet. The best thing she could hope for was that they all just understood that she wasn't up to wedding planning today and that she needed Devon here with her. As she listened to Devon speak she could tell he was reaching is breaking point - all the frustration from the previous few weeks coming to the surface and making him ready to burst. In the end, of course, it was Apollo that broke the dam and everything came flooding out of Devon. Zara jumped slightly at his angry voice and buried her face deeper into his neck, really not wanting to be a part of this. She heard Adora's gasp of surprise and instantly felt bad for the lady who was so excited for all the wedding plans - it must have seemed like she and Devon were so ungrateful when the truth was they were very grateful but they were just desperate for some time alone and away from his family.

Now everyone was saying something at once - Devon's sisters were complaining loudly and Apollo was shouting, Zara moaned softly, the noise starting to piece her ears and give her the starting of a headache. Apollo was yelling at Devon and was too close for comfort in Zara's opinion, "--I have never known a more ungrateful child then you, Devon, your mother and I give you everything and every time you just throw it back in our faces. Your mother has put a lot of time and effort into this and the least you could do is abide by our wishes!" Was it Zara's imagination or was Apollo getting closer, perhaps it was just the fact his voice was ringing in her eyes. "We are keeping you and Zara apart for your own good, you have proved that you both aren't responsible when the twins were conceived and I'll be damned if I let that happen again under my roof!" Zara could feel Devon shaking with anger beneath her and she gently began stroking his neck with her fingers to try and calm him although she doubted it would make much of a difference. Apollo hadn't finished yet though, "You are damn lucky, Devon, that your mother and I didn't stop you seeing Zara altogether but now I wonder if we made the wrong decision!" That comment was followed by a shocked outburst of "Apollo!" by Adora but it was already out there and even Zara looked up from Devon's shoulder to stare at Apollo in shock.

Devon quickly tuned out his family. He had no interest in what they were saying. All he wanted to do was comfort Zara and snuggle up to her. His fathers voice was growing louder and louder with each word, soon enough everyone else stopped yelling and only Apollo could be heard. He was yelling at Devon, moving closer by the second as he spoke, "--I have never known a more ungrateful child then you, Devon, your mother and I give you everything and every time you just throw it back in our faces. Your mother has put a lot of time and effort into this and the least you could do is abide by our wishes!" Devon scowled deeply but didn't look up at his father. Maybe if he didn't react he would stop. But that didn't happen, as much as Devon wished it would.

"We are keeping you and Zara apart for your own good, you have proved that you both aren't responsible when the twins were conceived and I'll be damned if I let that happen again under my roof!" Devon clenched his jaw shut willing himself not to say anything. He was do pissed he was shaking, Zara must have felt it because she gently began stroking his neck with her fingers to try and calm him, he appreciated it but it really wasn't as calming as he hoped.

Devon looked up meeting Apollo's angry glare. He kept his jaw clenched as he gently lifted Zara from his lap and set her carefully on to the couch cushion beside him. He kissed her lightly on the forehead and gave her an apologetic look, mostly for what he was about to do. He then stood up and without a word shoved Apollo as hard as he could knocking him back a few steps. "Like y-you have any k-knowledge on my maturity or even Z-zara's for t-that m-matter. I already k-know I'm a far b-better father than y-you even will be." Devon then stormed off out of the room ignoring his mothers attempt to keep him from leaving. He slid down to the floor in the hallway and took slow, deep breathes willing himself to calm down. Before he had even a minute to collect his thoughts his father was standing over him. "What the hell is wrong with you Devon?" He shouted at him. His sudden tone made Devon flinch but he stood up and said, "You are always y-yelling at me about n-not being good enough at anything. It's almost l-like you are p-punishing me for all the shit you never accomplished in y-your life."

Devon straightened and took a breath trying to calm himself so he wouldn't keep stuttering, "You never made good grades in school. You made all the wrong choices." Devon motioned to Apollo's arm. "You chose the dark side over helping mom save people. And now you have a reminder every day of your mistakes. Yet here you are constantly criticizing me, telling me I am irresponsible and immature. I get top marks, I was a prefect in fifth and sixth year and this year, I was head boy. Obviously that shows responsibility on my part. Yes, I got Zara pregnant, probably s-shouldn't have but I wouldn't change anything that has happened this year for the world. I love both Kora and Ryan unconditionally. Can you say the same about me, Hayden and Whitney? I doubt it! You're nothing but a selfish asshole who only thinks for himself, everyone else is just a inconvenience in your life. I love Zara, and I will marry her. And you can not and will not continue to keep me from her!" By the end of his long out burst Devon was screaming at Apollo and was completely unaware that his sisters, mother and Zara were all standing in the kitchen door way with their mouths hanging open staring at him and Apollo.

Devon crossed his arms over his chest and continued to stare at his father, knowing if he backed down he would be asking for it. He had to stand tall and strong right now to prove his point to him. Apollo glared at Devon for several long minutes before finally saying, "I---" Then grunting and walking away from Devon down into the basement. Devon let out the breath he had been holding and dropped to the floor and leaned against the wall. Had he really just won that argument with his dad?

As soon as Devon shifted her off his lap Zara knew what he was about to do, "Devon, please don't." She spoke but the words were barely above a whisper and either Devon didn't hear her or he ignored them. Zara watched at Devon turned to his father and shoved him hard, Zara gasped and moved to get up but as she did so she caught Adora's frightened eyes and Devon's mother shook her head slightly, indicating that Zara should say seated. Something in Adora's eyes told Zara that it wasn't because she wanted them to fight that she made Zara sit down but more because Adora had seen Apollo's temper at its worse and she didn't want Zara to get in the way if things got ugly. However, Apollo was too shocked to do anything or say anything before Devon had stormed out of the room. This time Zara got up shakily and hurried towards the door after Devon, Adora, Whitney and Hayden close behind her. Unfortunately, Apollo was way ahead of them and before the four of them had even reached the doorway they could hear Apollo shouting at Devon. Once she reached the doorway and could see Apollo and Devon in the hallway Zara stopped and held onto the door frame for support, as she could feel her stomach churning and her legs felt weak.

They didn't have to wait long before Apollo was silenced, however, which was something Zara had never experienced . When she glanced across at Adora she looked equally shocked and there was a fear in her eyes that Zara didn't like the look of. Zara looked back at Devon and Apollo as the former started screaming at Apollo, and Zara looked on in shock and mild horror. She hated that Devon had to go through this to get respect from his father but at the same time she knew this had been coming for a while. Devon finished and there was a long, deep silence as the four women looked on, with eyes wide and mouth open in shock. Apollo stood tall in front of Devon, his eyes burning with fury but he seemed unable to say anything as Devon stood up to him and didn't break eye contact once. The tension was almost palpable until Apollo broke the silence but seemed unable to finish what he had been about to say and instead he grunted, turned and walked away. This was more shocking to Zara than anything that had happened yet and it seemed the same went for Adora and the girls because for several minutes after Apollo left they all stood in silence in the same positions as Devon slid down to the floor. Maybe they were half expecting Apollo to return.

Finally Zara pulled herself together and shook herself free of her position in the doorway she quietly made her way over to Devon, she didn't really know what to say so decided not to say anything at all. Instead, Zara leant down and grabbed Devon's hand, she silently pulled on it indicating for him to get up and when he did Zara didn't let go of him. She led him towards the back door of the house and as she passed Adora she asked quietly, "Could you please keep an eye on the twins for an hour." Adora nodded without saying anything, a silent agreement between the two of them. With that, Zara led Devon to the door and out onto the grass. She still didn't say a word as they walked towards the edge of the forest - Zara had experienced many screaming matches with her father over the years and there was never anything to explain how you felt after it so instead she was taking Devon to do what she always did afterwards. They broke through the boundary of the trees and when they were far enough in to be out of sight of the house Zara turned to Devon and instructed him quietly, "Change with me." Without waiting for an answer Zara pulled of her shirt and unbuttoned her jeans, undressing until she was naked in front of Devon before stowing her clothes in a hole in a nearby tree. She looked at Devon and nodded, "Change, it'll help." Then she walked away behind a tree and concentrated hard, slowly she started to feel the change sending tingling through her body. Within a moment she dropped to the ground but before she had fully fallen she was already fully transformed.

Zara picked herself up, blinking and getting used to the black and white vision of her wold form. "Devon?" Zara heard a rustling and emerged from behind her tree, her paw pads barely making a sound on the forest floor. She saw Devon before her in his wolf form and she barked happily at him, using the connection to communicate. "Run with me." She circled him and then nudged him with her nose before turning and starting to lope off into the woods, slowly she picked up speed, feeling the wind whip around her. It felt good and she knew Devon would be feeling it too, for she could hear the thudof his own paws behind her. Zara shook her head and burst into a sprint, darting round trees and leaping over ditches, feeling freer than she had done in weeks.

Devon sat on the floor completely in shock and total silence. He heard rather than saw Zara shift from her position in the doorway she quietly made her way over to Devon, he glanced up at her his expression blank as he waited for her speak. But she didn't, instead Zara leaned down and grabbed Devon's hand, she silently pulled on it indicating for him to get up. He stood up slowly without a word, not bothering to ask why she wanted him to get up. Once he was standing she kept hold of his hand, he laced his fingers with hers.

She led him towards the back door of the house and as she passed Adora she asked quietly, "Could you please keep an eye on the twins for an hour." Adora nodded without saying anything, a silent agreement between the two of them. With that, Zara led Devon to the door and out onto the grass. She still didn't say a word as they walked towards the edge of the forest. Devon followed, curiosity and wonder filled his mind, but stayed quiet. He knew she would eventually explain where they were going and what she was planning. They broke through the boundary of the trees and when they were far enough in to be out of sight of the house Zara turned to Devon and instructed him quietly, "Change with me." Devon stared at her for a moment in complete confusion as she started stripping down in front of him. Did she really want to surely not here and now? She had to have gone mad. He watched her still confused as she continued undressing until she was naked in front of Devon before stowing her clothes in a hole in a nearby tree. She looked at Devon and nodded, "Change, it'll help." Then she walked away behind a tree and concentrated, Devon stood bewildered what on earth? Then he felt a tug at his mind of her changing into her wolf form. Realization and understanding finally dawned on him, and he smiled slightly. He stashed his wand with Zara's clothes then quickly shifted and sat down waiting for her to finish her transition.

"Devon?" He shifted slightly at her voice in his mind. Zara emerged from behind her tree, her paw pads barely making a sound on the forest floor. She saw Devon before her in his wolf form and she barked happily at him, using the connection to communicate. "Run with me." She circled him and then nudged him with her nose before turning and starting to lope off into the woods, slowly she picked up speed. He watches her for a moment before taking off after her. It felt good, freeing even. Zara shook her head and burst into a sprint, darting round trees and leaping over ditches, Devon sprinted closely at her heels.

He caught up to her and tackled her carefully to the ground and barked at her. He nuzzled into her, the licked her snout before jumping up and darting a few yards away. "What made you decide to do this?" He asked through their connection. As he waited for her answer he ran back to the tree where their wands and her clothes were stashed he dragged them out and made his way back to her. He dropped them in front of her and shifted back to normal. He sat down beside her and gently scratched behind her ear and leaned into her. "I'm sorry he and I keep fighting. I wish we wouldn't. I really hate it." He kissed her snout lightly and fell silent.

Soon enough, Zara felt Devon's weight land on top of her, causing her legs to collapse beneath her and leaving them in a furry, panting pile. Zara barked happily up at Devon as he licked her snout and decided to remain where she was, lying on the ground and watching him as Devon darted away and spoke through their connection again. She stayed silent for a moment as he darted away back into the trees to collect their belongings, mulling over her answer in her head before replying as he returned with her clothes. "I used to go out running a lot in my human form when Fenrir and I would fight and then when I realised I could control my wolf form more readily I started transforming just to run. It helps, keeps your mind awake and aware and away from the things that are bothering you, I thought it might do the same for you." Zara leaned her head against Devon as he sat beside her, listening as he spoke again, this time in his normal voice as he had shifted back into human form.

For the moment Zara remained in her wolf form, she wanted to talk to Devon and spend time with him and her transformation was time consuming and not a pretty sight to see so until they were ready to return to the house, Zara decided it was best for her to remain this way. Even if that meant Devon had to scratch her ears, while she sat beside him - which Zara enjoyed a lot more than she would ever admit and during which she only just managed to stop her heavy tail from thumping happily on the forest floor. She listened to what Devon said about his father, after all if there was anyone who was going to understand about a dysfunctional relationship with their father it was going to be her. As Devon finished and kissed her snout gently, Zara licked his cheek before resting her head back on his shoulder. She let the silent drag out for a few more minutes before responding via the connection, "You don't have to get on with him all the time, Devon, maybe you just need to accept that its not going to happen and then the two of you can live civilly under the same roof at least." She paused and straightened up, looking directly at him with her black, shining eyes, "No matter what you have me and we have the twins, he's not important to us right now, we don't need him. It's just us." They sat for a further few moments in silence before Zara picked herself up off the floor and padded off to start her transformation.

The final days passed before the big day and it would have been a lie to say they were quiet and peaceful. No, arguments blazed left, right and centre and not only between Devon and Apollo. Finally, however, it was the eve of the wedding, Devon and Zara had been given strict instructions to stay as far away from each other as possible so Zara had excused herself after dinner and returned to her room to make sure she had everything ready for tomorrow. Or at least that was her excuse. The truth was that as soon as she was out of sight of the family she had hurried back to her room and snatched up a plastic carrier bag, which was hidden under her bed. Now, Zara was sitting on the edge of the bath, the bathroom door locked, with her stomach in knots, as it had been all day. One again she felt the now all too familiar clench in her stomach, the sickness making her want to throw up for the second time that day. Zara did her best to calm herself and her stomach and pulled out the small box that was inside the bag. 'ClearBlue' the label read - a pregnancy test, the idea had been playing on Zara's mind for a while, but she dared not voice her concerns to anyone else, even Devon. The sickness that she had assumed was from something she had eaten, had simply never gone away. Almost every morning since then Zara had been forced out of bed by the knotting and lurching of her stomach.

It wasn't something she seriously thought was possible, seeing as she and Devon had barely seen each other over the past month or so, let alone anything that would warrant a pregnancy. Nevertheless, while out shopping for her wedding dress with Devon's mother and sisters, Zara had slipped away and bought a muggle pregnancy test - better safe than sorry, after all. Zara read through the instructions briefly, rather disgusted at the method of carrying it out but soon enough she was sat back on the side of the bath, waiting for the funny little piece of plastic to tell her she was being paranoid. She checked the box again to see how long she had to wait and rolled her eyes, holding the stick in front of her as she listened to the others moving around the house. Zara thought about the white dress, covered and carefully hanging from the curtain rail in her bedroom - it was beautiful, more so than she ever could have imagined and something that surprised her, despite the situation she was in at the moment, was that she could feel the pinpricks of excitement coiling inside her. It felt like they had been waiting for forever and now finally the day was almost here, Zara could only hope that everything went smoothly.

It seemed that she must have drifted off into her own thoughts because when she came to and glanced down at the stick, it was already a solid pink colour. Zara frowned and grabbed the instructions, reading them quickly to find the part about which colour meant what. Pink - Positive. Zara stared at the stick for several more minutes - it must be wrong, a false positive, a dud - muggle products obviously didn't work. A little shakily Zara stood up and dropped the stick angrily into the little white bin - stupid thing. Ridiculous. Zara left the bathroom in a hurry, wanting to put as much distance between the stick and her as possible, it was wrong, she knew that - but still, what if it wasn't. She went to bed early, knowing Adora wanted her up early in the morning, although she was far too restless to sleep and instead spent most of the night starring up at the ceiling until she finally drifted off to sleep.

Devon tried as best as he could for Zara not to argue with his father for the remaining weeks before the wedding. But as tensions grew it became more and more impossible. Everyone seemed to be arguing with everybody. Worst of all Devon saw less and less if Zara. He was lucky to give her a quick hug at meals before they were dragged in opposite directions. They had the nights together but both of them were far too exhausted to even speak before passing out. After what felt like years, ever though it was only a week, the night before the wedding was upon them. Against Devon's many protests Zara was pulled away from him for the night. After watching her disappear to her room he cast his mother a look with a very sad expression plastered on his face. "Oh Devon, stop that. You will see her tomorrow. Go to bed, you have a very long day ahead of you." Adora hugged Devon tightly and kissed his forehead as she tousled his hair a bit before giving him a gently shove towards his room.

Devon frowned but didn't argue with his mother, she was right he would see her tomorrow and it was going to be a very long day. He was looking forward to it but he was also extremely nervous, terrified and anxious. He didn't just want Zara with him tonight, he needed her with him. Not because he was used to her next to him every night curled up in his arms but because she would know just what to say to him as she snuggled into him to calm his nerves. He pushed his bedroom door open, quickly kicking off his shoes and stripping down to his boxers not really wanting to bother with finding pajama pants he climbed up to his bed an collapsed on it. He contemplated trying to talk to Zara through their connection but didn't want to bother her. For all he knew she was asleep since her thoughts seemed pretty quiet. He had detected a slight panic but before he could even focus on it, the feeling had vanished. Plus his eyes were already getting heavy as he began to drift off to sleep.

Someone shook him, "hmm..." He mumbled as he rolled over. "Devon!" The person shook him again. "Get up!" Devon pulled the blanket over his head, unwilling to be roused from his sleep. His blanket was pulled away from him; he heard it hit the floor, before he could protest he was jabbed in the ribs. “Get up!” Devon sat up rubbing his eyes and glared through the darkness at the unwanted visitor. “Go away.” He said quietly. “I am not going to let my lazy best friend miss his own wedding get the hell up Dev! Come on!” Devon scowled at Alex but stood up slowly stretching and yawning as he spoke, “What time is it?” Alex threw some clothes at Devon and said, “Few minutes past seven. But your mom wants you outside to help with some final details and set up.” Devon groaned but said nothing as he pulled on his pants and shirt; he brushed past Alex and made his way towards the door. He stopped and turned to look at Alex, “Have you talked to Zara at all? Is she up yet?” Alex shook his head, “No, sorry. Your Mum’s got her on lock down on the other side of the house. Yours sisters have Kora and Ryan down in the kitchen though.” Devon frowned, he’d hoped Alex might have gotten to talk to her and had some sort of message from Zara for him. He pulled open his door and headed down the stairs. He froze on the bottom step, causing Alex run into him. There were so many people moving around taking things outside. Seeing the problem Alex nudged Devon, “Come on, you’ll be fine. You have me right next to you. If you don’t want to talk, don’t. You don’t have to. It’s just as much your day as it is hers. Now come on, let’s find your Dad.” Devon was grateful that Alex was here with him; he’d have turned and disappeared back upstairs if he wasn’t.

The two boys made their way into the kitchen where Whitney had Kora in her arms and Ryan was sitting in a high chair next to her. Kora twisted in Whitney’s arms and instantly reached up to Devon. He smiled at her and took her from his sister. “Good morning baby girl.” He kissed her fat little hand as she touched his face with it. Her other hand tugging at a strand of his hair. “I love you too Kora.” He passed her back to Whitney then turned to Ryan, “Hey buddy. Keeping your sister under control?” Ryan babbled as if to answer. “Good.” Devon kissed his head and motioned towards Alex before heading outside. Just missing Adora tugging Zara by the hand through the kitchen into the living room.

Once outside Apollo wasted no time to start dishing out orders, “Alexander help set up those chairs. Devon, take that table over there.” Both boys rushed over to do what they were told, Apollo already seemed pissed and on edge, Devon didn’t want to fight with him today. He really hoped his father extended the same courtesy towards him, but he doubted it. Over the next several hours Devon and Alex placed chairs and tables in their proper places. Devon sat down in the grass fed up with putting things where they belonged. There couldn’t be more than one or two hours left before the wedding actually started and he hadn’t been able to eat or shower all day. He was exhausted, grumpy and did not want to be outside in the cold. It wasn’t freezing but it was cool enough to get a shiver when the wind blew. Apollo came to stand over Devon, reaching down with a hand, Devon took it reluctantly. “Come on Devon. You’re finished out here. Let’s go inside and get you ready. I shouldn’t have kept you out here helping for so long.” Devon was a bit shocked at his father’s kindness and very obvious concern in his voice. Devon followed him inside without a word.

As soon as they were inside Devon’s room Apollo spoke, “I know I have been hard on you all your life. I want you to know that it isn’t because I think I am better than you, I know I am far from. I push you because I know you are a much greater wizard than I am. You are extremely intelligent and you despite your age are very wise beyond your years. I am very proud of you Devon.” Devon’s mouth fell open in total shock. “I-I-I…” Apollo smiled, “Get a shower Devon. You don’t have much time to get ready.” Devon nodded and went into the bathroom. He stripped down and took a quick shower. Once he was clean he stepped out of the shower and wrapped a towel around himself. He went back into his room and grabbed a clean pair of boxers from his dresser finding his father sitting at Devon’s desk wearing a tux. He must have gone to change while Devon had been in the shower. Apollo motioned towards a bag hanging from the door. “Yours is in the back.” Devon nodded and unzipped the bag quickly dressing. He fumbled with his tie for a few minutes before Apollo joined him and gently started tying it properly as he spoke, “Relax Dev, focus on Zara and nothing else. No one outside matters besides you and her. Just imagine it’s only you and her standing there with the minister. No reason to be shy, or nervous. The rest of your life with Zara and your beautiful twins starts today. Don’t waste the moment with anxiety.” Apollo finished with Devon’s tie and hugged him momentarily. Devon froze and stared at Apollo, “I…” Apollo just smiled and motioned towards the door, “Ready?” Devon swallowed hard and nodded slowly. “Come on then.” Apollo lead Devon out of his room and down the stairs. Alex was standing in the living room wearing his tux, “Looking sharp Dev!” He winked at Devon. He smiled weakly at Alex and followed Apollo outside. He stayed focused on the ground as he walked down the aisle ignoring everyone and everything. He could feel his heart racing in his chest and felt like he was going to throw up. He glanced at the minister who smiled at him and whispered, “You look nervous.” Devon nodded without looking up from the ground. “I’ll let you know when to look down the aisle at your fiancé.” Devon nodded again, swallowing hard again, unable to shake the feeling that he was going to be sick.

It felt like hours passed by but he knew it had been minutes. The minister finally nudged Devon and said, “There, she’s coming out now.” Devon quickly looked up towards the back of the house to see Zara step out with Alex standing next to her. ”Whoa…” Was his instant thought. He smiled as soon as her gaze met his. ”You look breathtaking Zara.” He knew she’d would have heard him, since they had the claim between them. ”I love you.”He did exactly what his dad had suggested; he kept his focus on her knowing if he even dared look at the crowd of people around them he’d want to run. As soon as Zara was at his side he took her hand in his knowing she’d be able to feel that he was shaking. His eyes stayed locked with hers as the minister started speaking to the crowd behind them. He heard him but didn’t at the same time. He just hoped he could find his voice when it was his turn to speak. It would be extremely embarrassing if he tripped and stuttered over his vows in front of everyone in attendance. The more he thought about making his vows with a smooth and clear voice the more nervous he got. Automatically he started chewing on the corner of his bottom lip, a clear give away that his nerves were getting the best of him.

Obviously, sleep wasnt her friend that night because Zara was awake long before the hustle and bustle in the lower levels of the house began. She lay in her bed with her eyes fixed on the white dress hanging on the wardrobe, listening to people calling out and moving around below her. Eventually, Zara heard the hurried footsteps that signalled Adora had decided it was time for her to get up. Zara counted down the second before Adora would rap sharply on the door, wondering if Devon was awake yet and how he was feeling. She didn't want to contact him just in case it made him feel even more anxious. Before she could consider it anymore, however, Adora was calling through to her.

Five minutes later, Zara was fumbling around the room attempting to get dressed while Adora fussed after her. She seemed to follow Zara wherever she went, letting her know all about the plans for the day and where she was supposed to be at what time. Zara headed forth shower but turned just as she got through the door, realising that Adora seemed to be following her while listing off what food was being prepared for the reception. Adora stopped as Zara did an looked up at her, meeting her stern look and backing off quickly, muttering quietly, "Right, right." Zara smiled awkwardly and closed the door, sighing with relief now that she was finally alone. However, the relief didn't last long as Zara undressed and her gaze fell upon the white waste bin beside the toilet - the ordeal of last night returning to her. What if she was pregnant? Surely not. They didn't have bad luck to that extent, did they? Not that she wasn't thankful every waking minute for Kora and Ryan but no one could ever say that it had been a planned event. Zara felt her stomach flip, at first she thought it was just nerves about the day ahead, mixed with the thought of the pink stick, but a moment later Zara felt it lurch and she stumbled to the toilet to throw up.

Before she could even gather herself Adora was shouting through the door to her, asking if she was alright. "I'm fine, just nerves I think." Zara replied, shakily, moving slowly to turn on the water for her shower. As soon as she was finished in the bathroom and has dressed, Adora was shoving her out of the door and into the corridor, telling her to head down to the living room while she brought the makeup and hair equipment down. Zara nodded, not really sure what to say and feeling a little alarmed by the prospect of Adora doing her hair and makeup - Zara hadn't even thought about it all before that moment. She was making her way slowly downstairs when Adora appeared beside her and started tugging her by the hand to encourage her to move faster. They reached the ground floor and as Adora paused for a second, Zara caught a glimpse of Devon with Alex and Whitney. Zara longed to go over to them and hold her babies and speak with the other as easily a they normally would. Most of all she wanted to be beside Devon again and to hold his hand, to make sure he wasnt worrying too much. Zara noticed Devon was about to turn and smiled but before their eyes could meet Adora tugged Zara away into the living room, closing the door behind them.

Hayden was already in the room, grinning and the sheer excitement pouring off her forced a smile out of Zara as well and Hayden giggled, jumping on the spot an clapping as she saw it. "Right, right. Sit down in front of the mirror, Zara and Hayden hand me my wand." Adora and Hayden had set up the lounge to look like a muggle beauty parlour with a little stool for Zara im front of a large mirror with lights all around it. Zara smiled at the effort they had put into everything as they sat down - she really was grateful. Adora began straight away with Hayden standing beside her holding some squirty stuff in an aerosol bottle and what looked like thousands of hair slides.

About half an hour into the procedure Adora nodded to Hayden and she scurried off to fetch the makeup bag. Zara raised her eyebrows and Adora smiled back, "Hayden is going to start your makeup because im almost finished with your hair and then we need to go and get you dressed." Zara looked up, alarmed, "Already?" there must be at least another three hours surely. Hayden began work on her makeup as Adora replied, "It's only an hour and a half before the service starts, dear." Zara stayed quiet at this, her nerves getting the better of her. Not too much later, Hayden retreated and Adora grinned proudly, "Finished." Zara looked properly in the mirror for the first time. She had been worried she wouldn't look like herself but Hayden's makeup was soft and brightened her pale face without changing her skin tone, it exaggerated her eyes and her lips but mot in way that looked false. As for her hair, Zara had never imagined it could look like that - lightly curled and elegantly pinned back with a cluster cascading down over her shoulder. Zara noticed each curl was shimmering slightly in a way that could only be magical. "Thank you," Zara looked up at them both, "So much." Adora smiled back then clapped her hands twice, "Right, upstairs with you, I think Devon is outside so we shwould be fine."

Once the small party, joined by Whitney, was upstairs, Zara unhooked the dress from her wardrobe and laid it out carefully on the bed. Adora was back to business again and ordered Hayden and Whitney out of the room while Zara changed. As the door closed behind them, Adora presented Zara with a satin box tied with white ribbon, "For underneath the dress, dear." Zara turned bright red, which only went brighter when he opened it to find a white lace basque with white, velvet ribbon ties at the bback and a pair of matching lacey French panties. Zara wasnt given the chance to become anymore embarrassed, however, before Adora was telling her to undress. She helped lace up the back of the basque and Zara knew she would be able to see the scars that crisscrossed her back but for some reason it didnt seem to matter, which surprised Zara - she had assumed the only person she woulf ever feel comfortable seeing her scars would be Devon. With everything else in place, the only thing left was the dress. Zara obediently stepped into it as Adora called in Hayden and Whitney to help with the buttons.

Finally, it was finished and Adora les Zara over to the mirror, "You look beaitiful." Zara smiled, looking at the way the dress doing to her and the way her dark hair fell gently upon the white fabric. It was amazing. "Mum, we need to go - Devon's walking down the aisle." Zara turned as Hayden called this from the window. It seemed so surreal - Devon was walking down the aisle and would be waiting for her so they could get married. Zara panicked suddenly, "Where are Kora and Ryan? Are they ready?" Adora led her by the hand out of the room while Hayden and Whitney held up the dress, and replied gently, "Don't worry, they're with my mother and sister - they've been getting them ready and Apollo and I will have them during the service." Zara nodded, her throat dry as they made their way down to the kitchen. Adora shooed Whitney and Hayden out of the door to find their seats before turning to Zara, who must have looked a lot paler than usual because she smiled reassuringly, "Don't be nervous, just focus om what's important - no one else out there matters apart from you and Devon. This is your time now." Zara smiled weakly but the words helped and she nodded as Adora continued, "I'm going to find my seat. Then, when you are ready you can follow, okay?" Zara bit her lip abd answered softly, "Okay and thank you for everything, Adora." Just as she finished Alex came in through the door, smiling, "Nice frock, Zara, where you going? A wedding?" Zara glowered at him but he only grinned more. Adora squeezed Zara's hand before going off to find her place in the crowd. Alex offered Zara his arm and she slipped her hand through it. "Ready?" He asked, Zara looked up at him, "I think so." Alex smiled at her as they prepared to go out, "How high are your heels?" Zara grimaced slightly, "Worryingly high for me." Alex laughed, "Dont worry, I won't let you fall." With that he pushed open the door and led her slowly down the aisle.

Harp music was playing in the background and Zara could hear the soft mumbling as the crowd stood up to greet her. She only focussed on Devon - he looked up at her and she smiled as she finally heard him through their connection. "I love you too." She replied as she and Alex approached Devon and the minister. Zara took a chance and glanced to the side, seeing Ryan on Adora's knee, watching her intently and Kora on Apollo's. Zara turned her attention back to Devon as she came up beside him, letting go of Alex and taking Devon's hand instead. She gripped it tightly, knowing he must be beyond nervous by the way he was shaking. Zara's eyes met his as the minister started to speak. Zara had expected the speech to be about marriage abd the meaning behind it but the minister spoke about how they had met, their friendship, Kora and Ryan and who they were as a family.

The minister cane to the marriage vows and Zara squeezed Devon's hand knowing he would have to speak soon. The minister continued, "Devon, do you take Zara to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to behold, for better and for worse, for richer and for poorer, in sickness and in health, from this day until the end of days?" Zara wasnt sure if Devon had actually heard the minister so she squeezed his hand again and nodded very slightly to him smiling.. Once Devon finished the minister asked the same to Zara and she replied quietly, "I do." The minister requested the rings and Alex brought them forward, he took Zara's ring abd gave it to Devon. "Devon, take this ring and place it on Zara's finger and repeat after me - with this ring... I offer you my hand... and my heart... as I know they will be safe with you... and all that I have I share with you." After each part thr minister waited for Devon to repeat the words before turning to Zara an she said the same as she pushed the ring gently onto Devon's shaking finger. The minister smiled at them both and said quietly, "Well done, the hard parts over." he turned to th crowd, "Devon and Zara's vows may have been spoken in minutes but their promises will last for eternity. As they have pledged themselves to meet sorrow and happiness as one family together with their children, Kora and Ryan, I now pronounce them husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."

OOC: I'll let you fill this bit in

As Zara and Devon walked back down the aisle, the cheering and clapping that had started when they kissed continued and the two of them were showered in confetti thrown by Whitney, Hayden and several other of Devon's relatives. Zara laughed and looked over at Devon, glad to see he was smiling too. As they reached the end, they stopped to receive hugs from Alex, Adora and Apollo. The latter of whom passed Kora to Zara and Ryan to Devon. Kora clung to Zara and Zara held her tightly, breathing her in - feeling like she hadn't been able to hold her properly in weeks. Zara mover closer to Devon so that she could cuddle Ryan, as more and more relatives arrived to congratulate them.

OOC: So I thought you'd want to fill in Devons bits and take them into the reception before we bring Fenrir in?

The minister continued, "Devon” He heard his name and flinched, he’d have to speak now. He knew he wouldn’t be able to without stuttering, “Do you take Zara to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to behold, for better and for worse, for richer and for poorer, in sickness and in health, from this day until the end of days?" Zara squeezed his hand, fuck! He was supposed to speak. Words totally failed him. What was that line? Crap crap… “I....I do.” He said to so quietly he didn’t even know if anyone heard him. But the minister must have since he continued speaking, asking the same to Zara and she replied quietly, "I do." The minister requested the rings and Alex brought them forward, he took Zara's ring and gave it to Devon. "Devon, take this ring and place it on Zara's finger and repeat after me - with this ring” Devon with very shakey hands took the ring from the minister and took Zara’s hand in his and repeated, “With th-this r-ring” He inhaled slowly trying to calm himself, “I-I offer you m-my hand... a-and my heart... as I-I know they will b-be s-safe with y-you... a-a-and all that I-I have I-I share with y-you." It took a bit of effort but he managed to get through the vows and placed her ring properly on her finger. She got through hers so much smoother than he had, he smiled at her, at least she spoke effortlessly and flawlessly in front of everyone. The minister smiled at them both and said quietly, "Well done, the hard parts over." He turned to the crowd, "Devon and Zara's vows may have been spoken in minutes but their promises will last for eternity. As they have pledged themselves to meet sorrow and happiness as one family together with their children, Kora and Ryan, I now pronounce them husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."

There was that line, the most important part, aside from vows. And suddenly Devon froze. There were so many people standing before him. Everything around him spun, he swayed slightly. He wanted to run, but he couldn’t run, not now, they were almost through it. He looked to Zara her expression expectant. She seemed to realize the problem and suddenly smiled at him and gently squeezed his hand. He quickly leaned in forcing himself to forget about the hundreds of people sitting in front of them and kissed her, weakly at first but quickly it was normal, full of his usual passion he put into all their kisses. He pulled away and smiled at her for a moment then kissed her gently again. He let go of her hand and pulled her to him in a tight hug kissing her gently on her lips again as the minister spoke to the crowd announcing them officially as Mr and Mrs Avery. Devon pulled away from their embrace and kept his arm tightly around Zara’s waist as the turned towards the applauding crowd. He hadn’t noticed a moment before that they had been applauding. Kissing Zara had clouded everything around them, just as it always had for him.

As Zara and Devon walked back down the aisle, the cheering and clapping that had started when they kissed continued and the two of them were showered in confetti thrown by Whitney, Hayden and several others of Devon's relatives. Zara laughed and looked over at Devon, glad to see he was smiling too. He was confident at the moment, but mostly because he had Zara’s arm wrapped around him. Despite everyone here being his family and people he grew up around he was still overwhelmed. He couldn’t wait to pull Zara away for a moment of silence with just her to calm his nerves. Zara moved closer to Devon so that she could cuddle Ryan, as more and more relatives arrived to congratulate them.

He knew he shouldn’t have but Devon quickly zoned out during the long line of people congratulating them. Not only was it boring but he was in no shape to talk on his own so a lot of his responses were a simple nod or shake of his head. Anytime someone pulled Zara to one side or the other he moved with her, unwilling to be away from her. But not just for his nerves but also for the fact that they had barely seen each other over the last several weeks. So, simply just standing next to her with his arm around her felt like a privilege at this point. Finally after what felt like hours the last person in line congratulated them and headed towards the reception area of the yard. Hayden and Whitney took the twins to get them settled so that Zara and Devon could have a moment before heading into the front yard.

The second they were alone Devon turned Zara to him and smiled at her, “You’re almost taller than me in those heels.” He gently touched her face his thumb over where her scar was even though it was totally masked by makeup. He stepped back to really take a look at her in her dress now that he could focus on her and not the millions of people around them. “You do look beautiful though.” He stroked her cheek again adding softly, “Don’t take it wrong, but I don’t really like all the makeup my sisters and mother caked on your face.” He wiped his thumb under his lip and showed her saying with a chuckle, “I don’t want to wear your makeup.” He wiped it on his pants then took her hand in his and looping their arms together. “Shall we go get this last part over with then?”

Eventually, the line of gushing relatives faded and once Zara had smiled and thanked the last two for being there while receiving hugs and kisses to the cheek, Whitney and Hayden approved to take the twins. Rather reluctantly Zara passed them over, wishing she could spend more time with them but also knowing that after today there would be no excuse for anyone to keep them from her and she would be able to spend as much time as she wanted playing with them. Over the past month or so she had missed her little family, just the togetherness that they had been able to share when they lived back in their quarters at the school. She missed being able to watch Devon spoil them and just simply watching them learn new things - it felt like she had missed out majorly lately but Zara passed Kora over knowing that it would all change soon. As Hayden and Whitney made their way over to the reception Zara turned to Devon, despite everything greatly relieved to finally have a moment alone with him. She smiled at him comment about the heels - not wanting to admit out loud that she could barely stand in them and that she had no doubt what so ever that they would be coming off before the night was up.

As Devon touched her cheek she leaned her head into his hand, loving the contact that they could finally have. Zara had her hands on his shoulders as he was speaking but rolled her eyes as he commented about the makeup, "You think I had any choice in the matter? I just did what I was told lest I face the wrath of your mother!" She cringed as Devon wiped the makeup on his pants and took his arm as they began to talk towards the reception, "Speaking of your mother - she's going to kill you for wiping white foundation on your black dress pants." Zara lent over and kisses his cheek, before wiping away the remaining makeup on his chin and smiling at him, "And I'm not protecting you, it's your turn to have to deal with her." Devon's arm was tightly around Zara's waist as they made their way into the party and she knew he wouldn't be letting go of her easily - there was too many people and too much attention on them, not to mention the fact they had barely seen each other for weeks. Everyone seemed to have already taken their seats for the meal and catching Adora's eye, who beckoned them over to the main table, Zara guided Devon the left, avoiding the center of the room. Thankfully, most people were now distracted and talking in their own groups on their tables, so there wasn't too much pressure on Devon and Zara as they took their seats. Adora smiled at Zara as they sat down and squeezed her hand, "Well done, and welcome to the family." Zara laughed nervously but felt an overwhelming sense of fondness and gratitude towards the woman, who obviously knew exactly how the whole preparation and wedding experience must have been for both of them, despite not seeming to at first. Devon was holding Zara's hand beneath the table and even though they were talking with different people only released it when the food appeared on the table. As they began to eat Zara looked over at Devon and smiled, "I love you." They kissed briefly and then continued eating.

By the time the meal was over, Zara was feeling a lot more comfortable and was laughing and talking easily with Alex, Whitney and Devon. The food had been cleared away and people were milling around, visiting other tables and generally relaxing into the atmosphere. Soft music was playing in the background from the harpists in the corner and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Zara noticed Adora making her way over to them as the music stopped and turned as she reached them, "It's time, you two." Zara frowned and glanced at Devon before asking, "Time for what?" Adora looked between them and rolled her eyes, "The first dance - even if this is the only time you do, come on." Zara stood up as Adora ushered them out of their seats and over to the edge of the dance floor, commenting as they reached it, "Oh Devon, don't look so terrified - everyone here is here because they love you... and why on earth do you have foundation on your pants?" Zara blushed bright red and quickly grabbed Devon and led him onto the dance floor, murmuring as her cheeks burned even more as all eyes turned to them, "Just focus on me, I think we can just sway." The music started up again as they came to the center of the dance floor and Zara turned to Devon, pleading with her eyes for him to do something and not just stand there. They started to dance slowly, just swaying from one side to the other, which is all the music really warranted. One of Zara's hands was on Devon's shoulder and he was holding the other, once they had got the hang of it Zara took the time to actually listen to the music, recognising it very suddenly and looking up at Devon, "Listen." She paused to make sure, "It's the song you wrote for me." She moved closer to him, resting her head on his shoulder, wondering if he knew about this or whether he was as surprised as she was.

Several minutes later, Adora and Apollo and several other couples joined them on the dance floor and Zara felt the pressure lift considerably. By the time the third song was being played, the floor was almost full and Zara and Devon were on the edge just enjoying holding each other as they swayed to the gentle music. No one was paying any attention to them anymore and Zara felt more relaxed than ever just by being able to be held close by Devon. Several more minutes past and Zara looked up at him to speak, "Do you want to--" She stopped mid-sentence as movement caught her eye and she glanced over towards the path. What she saw made her stop still, staring at the figure limping its way towards them at the edge of the marque. "Devon..." She whispered, weakly, praying she was wrong as the person came closer to them but knowing she was right. Zara gripped Devon's arm tight and pulled him back a few steps, her whole body turning cold as Fenrir stepped into the marque. His scared face formed into a smirk as he stopped in front of them both, "Well hello, Devon." Zara looked round for Apollo, unsure why at first but then realising he was the only other person at the wedding that knew Fenrir well. He spoke again, to Devon, "I see you married my daughter without inviting me." Zara was shaking and gripping Devon's arm tightly, not wanting him to do anything stupid. Only now did Fenrir look at her, "Don't worry, Zara, I didn't come here to ruin your big day. Is a dance too much to ask?" He gestured from Devon to her with a wave of his hand, "You don't mind, do you, Devon? Seeing as you didn't even ask my permission to marry your new wife and I really could cause quite a scene." Zara watched her father, wondering what he was up to - he always had a plan and no doubt this time was no different. "Please leave." Zara spoke quietly, looking straight at him, but Fenrir only laughed and suddenly reached out and grabbed her arm, "No I don't think I will, come on, Zara, dance with me - for old times sake." Zara paused for a moment, thinking quickly then sent a message to Devon over their connection, "Find the wins and take them into the house, then tell Apollo. I'll be fine I promise. Please, you know he means it when he says he'll make a scene." She turned to Fenrir and let go of Devon, shakily, "Fine." She pushed Fenrir's hand off her arm and looked at Devon, who didn't look like he was going to move, "Devon, please." To Zara's surprise, Fenrir took her arm gently this time and pulled her towards him, still smirking at Devon, "Yes, Devon, run along and go tell Daddy I'm here." When Devon finally left Fenrir took Zara's hands and placed them on his shoulders, "Come on, Zara, I know you know how to dance. Don't make me do all the work." Zara glared at him as they started to sway. They continued for a minute or so as Zara glanced around to try and locate Devon or Apollo but couldn't see either of them from where she was stood, "Why are you here?" She spoke finally, Fenrir didn't answer her and seemed to pause a moment, taking a deep breath before narrowing his eyes at her and suddenly gripping her tight enough for it to be uncomfortable, "Does Devon know you're pregnant again?" Zara stopped moving and looked up at him, her mouth going dry, "Get off me." She tried to move away from him but Fenrir kept her where she was, grinning at her with a glint in his eyes, "Mistake number one, Zara." Fenrir's grip tightened and Zara sent a panicked call for Devon over their connection. She didn't know what Fenrir was about to do or what he was planning and that's what scared her.

Devon took her arm as they began to talk towards the reception, "Speaking of your mother - she's going to kill you for wiping white foundation on your black dress pants." Zara lent over and kisses his cheek, before wiping away the remaining makeup on his chin and smiling at him, "And I'm not protecting you, it's your turn to have to deal with her." He rolled his eyes. "I don't need your protection from my mother." Devon wrapped his arm tightly around Zara's waist as they made their way into the party. He held her close to him mostly because he missed being near her, but also because of the large group of people all around them. Everyone seemed to have already taken their seats for the meal and catching Adora's eye, who beckoned them over to the main table, Zara guided Devon the left, avoiding the center of the room. To Devon's relief everyone was distracted with conversation so all eyes for the moment weren't centered on him and Zara. Adora smiled at Zara as they sat down and squeezed her hand, "Well done, and welcome to the family." Zara laughed nervously, while Devon grinned and kissed Zara's hand as he listened to his mother speak.

Devon sat with his elbow propped up on the table, his chin on his hand silently watching the people around them. His other hand resting lightly on top of Zara's. Soft music was playing in the background from the harpists in the corner and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Devon watched his mother making her way over to them as the music stopped and turned as she reached them, "It's time, you two." Zara frowned and glanced at Devon before asking he shrugged he was just as confused as she was, "Time for what?" Adora looked between them and rolled her eyes, "The first dance - even if this is the only time you do, come on." Zara stood up, Devon shrank into his seat, he did not want to dance in front of everyone. But a sharp look from his mother had him up on his feet quickly and at Zara's side, as Adora ushered them out of their seats and over to the edge of the dance floor, commenting as they reached it, "Oh Devon, don't look so terrified - everyone here is here because they love you... and why on earth do you have foundation on your pants?" He frowned, "I-I...it just..." Zara blushed bright red and quickly grabbed Devon and led him onto the dance floor, murmuring as her cheeks burned even more as all eyes turned to them, "Just focus on me, I think we can just sway." He nodded. The music started up again as they came to the center of the dance floor and Zara turned to Devon, pleading with her eyes for him to do something and not just stand there. She paused to make sure, "It's the song you wrote for me." She moved closer to him, resting her head on his shoulder. He smiled and softly whispered the words into her ear as they swayed along. As the song drew to a close he said, "Yes, I knew. Was my idea. One of the few things I had a say in."

Several minutes later, Adora and Apollo and several other couples joined them on the dance floor. Devon kept his focus on his wife as he held her close. By the time the third song was being played, the floor was almost full and Zara and Devon were on the edge just enjoying holding each other as they swayed to the gentle music. No one was paying any attention to them anymore and Zara felt more relaxed than ever just by being able to be held close by Devon. Several more minutes past and Zara looked up at him to speak, "Do you want to--" She stopped mid-sentence, he glance at her face seeing her fear rising "Devon..." She whispered, weakly. Devon looked around and instantly saw whay had her so ridged, Fenrir. Zara gripped Devon's arm tight and pulled him back a few steps, her whole body turning cold as Fenrir stepped into the marque. His scared face formed into a smirk as he stopped in front of them both, "Well hello, Devon." Devin scowled, "Fenrir." He spoke again, to Devon, "I see you married my daughter without inviting me." Zara was shaking and gripping Devon's arm tightly, not wanting him to do anything stupid. Only now did Fenrir look at her, "Don't worry, Zara, I didn't come here to ruin your big day. Zara paused for a moment, thinking quickly then sent a message to Devon over their connection, "Find the wins and take them into the house, then tell Apollo. I'll be fine I promise. Please, you know he means it when he says he'll make a scene." She turned to Fenrir and let go of Devon, shakily, "Fine." She pushed Fenrir's hand off her arm and looked at Devon, who didn't look like he was going to move, "Devon, please." To Zara's surprise, Fenrir took her arm gently this time and pulled her towards him, still smirking at Devon, "Yes, Devon, run along and go tell Daddy I'm here." Devon stood his eyes locked with Zara's. He didn't like this at all. But he knew he should get his father. He gave Zara one last look then turned away quickly pushing through the crowd in search of Apollo. Several minutes passed and Devon had no luck finding him. He made his way back to Zara and Fenrir he gently tugged Zara's arm. Fenrir instantly spoke, "No. I'm not finished with her. Get your hands off." Devon swore under his breathe, but let go of Zara. He felt helpless, but he knew Fenrir wouldn't hesitate to snap his neck, he had nearly killed Devon already once before. He was just about to try again but stopped as Apollo stepped into his view.
